    That seems like a 372xp clone. I have a original low top 372xp i use for milling. Saw your review on holzforma alaskan mill and ordered it from them. im very pleased with it. before i used to have a self made one. I have had great experience with husqvarnas for 13 years as i have been working with saws. The 300 series is awesome and i currently run a 560xp that is a great saw also. I like the slim and compfortable design on them.

    It sounded like it was breaking down a bit mid cut under load but for the money they run an look great plus easy to work on. I think your 444 did a much better pull out of the box. Your a tough bugger getting out after your operation. I'm keen to see more updates on this model take care Mark.

    Any bar with a D009 tail mount will fit this sawdust adjust the rim sprocket accordingly, the as supplied decomp valve button will fall off and let the valve fall into the cylinder wrecking it, you can either replace it or as I do drill a small hole through the button and stem and insert a small roll pin to alleviate the issue.
    As I've stated many times before I run 32:1 mix using Lucas Synthetic Oil in ALL my 2 cycle equipment.
    I assembled a 365/371 kit using their big bore cylinder and I am rather impressed with the power it has, it's now over 2 years old and still going strong.

    "Holz" means wood, but "fforma" is propably a translation error. i think its ment to be "Firma", wich means corporation. so it should be "Holzfirma" (wood corp).

    They 450$ but still they should last a day .my climbing saw I had the puppy that flew apart in my hands after month the vibration had all the screws lose .so basically go to Sthil dealer and get top of the line commercial saws and I use premium gas at the gas station 93 octane and usually when buy a saw they with a bottle of 2cycle

    • @DIYwithUncleCy
      @DIYwithUncleCy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well my Puppy has seen more use than most of my saws because it is on loan to my friends that were hit by a tornado. Just spoke with them a couple of days ago and they have been using it daily with no issues. I also taught them how to PM it though so I know they are taking care of it the way I would. Chainsaws are just not a tool that you can use and use and expect to do nothing but put in gas and oil and sharpen or tighten the chain once in a while. They require regular maintenance, best example I can think of is Human, go check out his channel. He talks about maintaining his saws quite often. And he is a current tree surgeon.

    • @DIYwithUncleCy
      @DIYwithUncleCy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far I have been most impressed with the 660, 444, and 388. However those are also the big boys and not suited for every part of arborist work. Believe it or not I rate the Prowler Puppy higher than the G111, the 111 is prone to being hard to start warm and that is annoying when in a tree. For felling the first 3 I mentioned would do. For ground processing the G4500 has been pretty good but so has my YZ6200 but that's not a Farmertec saw, however it is the same design as the G5200 so though I haven't tried the 5200 I would bet its a good saw.

    Kinda of a newb in regards to chainsaws. I bought a 45cc Jonsered clone with 18 inch bar. Wasn't sure if that's a good size in engine cc. But figured I wanted a general all purpose chainsaw. Whats your thoughts ... Oh and that plastic funnel they sent can be used to funnel TH-cam money ... lol

    • @IRONHORSE427RACING
      @IRONHORSE427RACING 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not trying to poke my nose in where it dont belong but Jonsereds has been purchased by Husquvarna Sweden and all the new model Jonsereds are just a red version of a Husqvarna of equal CC...and a bit less costly in some parts of the US. I used to run Jonsereds Pro saws back when they were made in Europe and only trouble with them was finding dealers over here in the States. I switched to Husquvarna saws not long after Jonsereds went under. I had always ran Stihl saws but the price kept going up and quality down so thats why I had to switch to Husquvarna saws...I make my living with them so they gotta perform. It was last year when buying another new Husqvarna Pro Saw that I got the word about them buying out Jonsereds and now I have 4 Husqvarnas and 2 new Jonsereds (the parts fully interchange between the 2 by the way) I keep hoping they will come out with a Pro Jonsereds version of the Husquvarna 562 & 572 XP saws since these are my main saws but as of yet still no luck... If you bought a new Jonsereds Saw you got a red version of what is the best all round chainsaw on the planet right now....I am not so brand loyal that I wouldn't switch if something as dependable and durable comes along....but when my job depends on a saw....right now its Husqvarna Pro or the "New" version Jonsereds period.

    I don't know why they would clone an x-torq, they failed a lot, best thing you can do to a 372xp x-torq is to turn it back into a 'normal' 372xp. Don't tune this to run too fast, don't forget that secondary intake is pulling in fresh air with no lubricating oil/fuel. It's designed for emissions to clean (lean) burn, run 40:1 mix full synthetic for extra protection (never mind I see you did that, hadn't got to that bit yet lol)

    What bar and chain do you recommend for a joncutter 5800?

    • @DIYwithUncleCy
      @DIYwithUncleCy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 5800 is recommended up to a 22 inch bar. It would probably handle a 24 inch though. As to what bar to buy, I would start with the bars that Holzfforma offers for it. Once you have one of them you can look locally for something making sure the mounting slot and oil holes line up to the JonCutter bar.

    • @DIYwithUncleCy
      @DIYwithUncleCy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are having to mess with them every 10 mins right out of the box the problem is not the saw. I haven't had to mess with any saw I own that much with the exception of a 3 yr old MS171. And considering I was in the tree business for awhile an never had that issue, your question completely confuses me. Are you running NON-ethanol gas with a minimum of 91 octane? I have heard that running poor quality gas or gas with ethanol tears up saws to the point they become unreliable. Ethanol not only destroys the gaskets in the saw but it breaks down the Oil you mix with it causing higher friction with in the saw, which would eventually make it run lousy and finally kill it altogether.

    • @DIYwithUncleCy
      @DIYwithUncleCy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will add that if you are trying to use saws bought at a big box store like Home Depot or Lowe's etc. and use them for commercial use you are never going to stop buying saws. Go out spend the extra and buy from a chainsaw dealer. The clones I review you could try but I have my doubts about how long they will hold up. I have been pleasantly surprised by them thus far, but do consider that I am not using them like I would have when I had a tree business.

      DIY with Uncle Cy The thing is two huskies 455 the primer bulbs stop filling after one tank and also open the gas caps the gas is extremely hot and shoots out like there is this huge pressure

    • @DIYwithUncleCy
      @DIYwithUncleCy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should be pressure. And if the saw has been running the gas will be hot. All the more recent made saws and a lot of the older ones have a valve or you could say a pump that pressurizes the tank as it runs in order to assist fuel in getting to the carb. I have saws that will hold that pressure for several days after running, others the pressure bleeds off in a few hours but all of them have it right after shutting it off.

    • @jaysontaylor71
      @jaysontaylor71 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Seems like you are putting bad gas, incorrect mix, or cheap mix in your saws. Try running ethanol free fuel and synthetic mix before buying another saw. Also most new saws need to be broken in before burying the chain into wood. Never rev the piss out it before 3 tanks of fuel. Also you need to adjust the carb usually after the break in.

    • @CSkwirl
      @CSkwirl 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jaysontaylor71 Does say he's buying the cheap (home owner) type saws too so that may be most of the problem. Any cheap saw from any brand these days is never going to last long, they're cheap and nasty and made as disposable as possible. I would expect more than a few months of decent work out of them though, using a low end, mineral oil lawnmower 2-stroke oil sounds a likely cause too

    • @firewoodwarrior4396
      @firewoodwarrior4396 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your issue is that you're buying the 'cheap saws'. You need to buy professional grade Husqvarna/Stihl, with proper maintenance those saws will outlast you.
      Getting a chinise clone for few hundred bucks might sound good but in the end it's not a saw you would want to rely on.

      They are always overrating their saws unfortunately. You can always order the top end kit on Ebay and make it 52mm.
