Excellent video. There's an AOH Division in Tyrone named after O'Neill and 1646. I'm looking forward to watching more of your content, thanks, M.

Hi Nathan, I’ve had a novel published about and done a lot of research into the 1798 Rising. I know it’s considered a ‘modern’ era but the pike was absolutely emblematic of the United Irishmen. If you want to do a video on some of the battles where the pike was instrumental just let me know. Do you have a business email? If you’re interested look up ‘1798 : Tomorrow the Barrow We’ll Cross’. I think it’s still in print or at least available on Amazon/Kindle.

Hi Joe I plan on doing a whole series around the 1798 rising so will definitely check out the book. I do have an email but can't share it here as TH-cam can be awkward with email's but it's my channel name at Gmail.

Really good video. Any more little known Irish victories from Norman era onwards? You mostly hear of the glorious defeats but I know there were quite a few In The earlier period.

@@joereynolds475 yes indeed I plan on doing quite a few we have a weird dark age in the 1300s that's worth it's own video then some very interesting battles happening from there on.

I'd love to learn more about battles in Ireland... Besides initially watching your stuff as a martial artist, I'm also an Irish diaspora so would love to learn some more martial history

Were there not 2 armies defeated by the Irish Monroe ' Scotch and the "Lagan Army " of planters unfortunately division of Irish forces the victory did not lead to the desired political objectives ie freedom of religion for the majority on the Island and an end to land confiscation.
