BN2010 was used for F10 models and needs flashing of BN2000....most likely this was done by Bimmer Tech before otherwise BN2010 cannot be used in E60! Also you do not need an adapter cable. You can just pin out and pin in cables back in a new connector. This takes just a few minutes. I just installed a BN2000 in my e60 yesterday incl. all coding.....it all works like a charm...

Jayb.org so you say that i can flash BN 2010 with BN2000 software and it will work?

i plugged my BN2010 combox into my E60 and it works. However i cannot recode it using NCS Expert.

@@thatslowjagyes, but you can code the cic, right? It has all the important functions, not combox.

@@mircea-alexandruluncan8566Yeah but there's other problems using BN2010, like having to reconnect your phone with bluetooth every single time you get into the car, I got fed up with that alone and found a BN2000

I’ve got a 2009 525i E60 with bluetooth but I haven’t got audio play. Should I replace the bluetooth module or not?

There is an option you have to change for the CIC coding in NCSexpert but the Plugin option is only for iPhone 4/4S so you can see the ipod menu on the iDrive screen. For it to work on the E60 you also need the baseplate and snap-in adaptor in the armrest and a video connection made from it to the CIC head unit. Alternatively, you can make a video connection from the AUX portion of the armrest USB port to the head unit and connect the armrest USB port to the BLUE plug on the Combox. This Plugin feature first appeared in 2011 on E90 cars with 6NR/6NF option and came with the Combox, baseplate and video connection to CIC already from factory.

@@bmwdiy My car already has a base plate and is connected to combox. Which option should I code with ncs expert?
