Glad you're enjoying your new bike. Been on the fence about which bike to get; pro ss or mx4. If the eride didn't have that annoying high pitch whine/hum, I'd buy it today. Curious to know if it goes away after a few miles. Cheers

It happens around 8mph. The mx4 is definitely quieter, but you have to worry about the oil in the gear box I believe.

Which foot pegs did you get and what are the upgrades you could do to it?

I got the warp 9 foot pegs and the upgrades are pretty much the same that you can do to a mountain bike/ downhill bike. Plus there is a controller in the works that should be released soon to allow for 14kw power.

Gonna wait for 10.0 when they've cleared all the issues, and this thing is insanely noisy in person, like a jet turbine engine. Just cant see me selling my talaria for this. 😂

      What’s 10.0?

Couple of things though. This bike will out perform a stock talaria all day in power and range. It's much cheaper to upgrade suspension then it is too upgrade controller\motor\battery. Additionally gearboxes are nice but they do rob power and there's a reason that some power sports use belt drives. They have been field proven for years...

I should think so. The e ride pro is 72v stock, and the talaria is not, lol. Either way, I'm waiting out to see what the surron releases next year. Also, no belt driven e moto in the class of surron talaria etc beats talaria stock 60v, talaria is faster, so again, you're wrong

@@oneway_stingy I agree with you that talaria is much better than a suron at least in my opinion. Although a gear box is a power in device \ power out device. Depending on the ratio 1:1, 2:1 or 1:2 etc will change torque and rpm. It is inherent with a gear box that there will be a small loss in power due to friction, gear wear, fluids etc... as I stated before there is a reason that OHV power sports use belt drives with a CVT clutch.

I'd rather not replace jackshaft bearings and belts every 600/800+ miles. The bearings and belts don't last on there if you ain't doing granny miles or AKA John Hicks ride style. I think the Eride pro ss is the best bang for your buck, but I don't like to jump on to the first generations, like I did with talaria. I waited for the Sting R. I'll give it another year of people finding the issues and them working it out via production.

You don’t really notice it while riding it but yes it’s not silent. Much quieter than a dirt bike.
