Custom Bale Wrapping

We’ve had quite a bit of rain this summer. It’s been a great thing! But makes it challenging to get the hay harvested at the right moisture. 2nd crop was ready but we didn’t have a long enough stretch do days without rain to get it all finished so we needed to round bale and wrap them. It moisture is to high, fires are likely. We didn’t want to chance putting these bales in our hay shed and possibly resulting in a fire. We have a local guy, Joe, that does some custom bale wrapping. It’s not often we do this, so when we do it’s pretty fun to watch! Sarah and the kids have never seen a bale wrapper work before. It was a fun afternoon! He wrapped 32 bales in about an hour. It’s pretty efficient.

Those dry bales on the ends will let air right through and spoil atleast the next baleage bale. They make caps to put over the end bales and the wrap seals to them. Much better seal.
