What kind of oil did you use?
I don't eat soup with chili oil, I eat chili oil with soup
🤣🤣🤣. Thank you for that.
I hear you.... The classic table-top container at any shop is down by half, easily... It's such a great condiment. 👍 ❤️
I don't eat chili oil, I eat oil chili
Some friends frequented a Thai restaurant that had giant jar of chili mix up on counter. They would ask how many spoons customers wanted. These guys would leave with sweat stripes down their back.
What aromatics do you use?
Green onion
Star anise
Bay Leaves
Ginger
Cinnamon
Cilantro?
It looks like cilantro. Not celery sticks. And yes, a cinnamon stick.
@@xxsam0917xx Thanks, I'll edit my comment
Couldn't agree more, Mandy. An essential kitchen staple. Noodles, soups, dumplings, scrambled eggs, and so many other uses.
I love this channel. Ive seen so many recipes for this condiment. Keep it simple guys.
I can't wait to try this one! 😛🔥🔥🔥
love you and your videos, made the chilli oil today and it's bomb!
I just finished my last batch using the Strictly Dumpling recipe. I'll try your recipe for my next batch.
Hmm... I can take about a quarter spoonful! 😄 I'm just sensitive!
The chili oil is the best part of any Asian dish!!
Such interesting stuff about Chinese cooking i never knew. Thanks for sharing 👍
Yum!!! Been needing a recipe to try because I go through jars of this stuff. I know it's cheaper to make and I just need to do it!! Thanks for your recipe#
Have you ever fried eggs in chili oil? It's a game changer! ❤️
This sounds amazing...
Woah 🤯
thanks
My favorite, you just made my mouth water lol
Thank you! I just used the last of mine, and I forgot that I needed to make more!
Thanks for the recipe.
Wow very nice and yummy. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day
I love soup recipes I love it so much
Yes I can’t live without it too these days, I use it with everything, but I buy mine, I haven’t made my own yet. But I can only handle 1 teaspoon 😅😅😂😂
To answer the question at the end: all of it. I want all of it.
Actually this soup is delicious
Will there be a full episode on this? :D
She did a video a few years ago for beef slices in chili oil that has full instructions and recipe. I’ve made it and it is wonderful. Enjoy!
@@LewisNClarkAdventures thanks clueless. I'll probably look for her old video.
Thanks. I love chilli oil and make it if I can not find it
@Souped Up Recipes Check your video title. With/Without
How long does it last?
What items of bounch of aromatic ? Is it ginger, green onion, and... Could u write it down.
hi ☺ what were the aromatics?
We use a LOT
Yes. The answer to your question is yes.
What kind of dried chili powder do I use? Anything for a low or medium tolerance?
By using this exact recipe I could probably do 2 spoonfuls possibly 3 🔥
When the oil hits the pepper does it make you choke or sneeze?
what oil should i use to make this Mandy?
Aku suka sambal 😋🤤
Cobalah sambal Indonesia 😋🇮🇩👍
What kind of chili do you use?
Mindy, can we get the Iist of Your Aromatics???
Need to do this with the ghost peppers and cayennes that I grew this year once they're finished drying :D
I spoonful for each bite. 🎉
Yesss. We always have atleast one jar of these in our house. Mix it in soups, mix in with rice, use as dip for dumplings.
How much does it last? And how do I know when it goes bad? I have made some and Love it so much, but I would like to make a bigger quantity to last longer
What aromatics did you use?
Wondering if 5 Spice would be a great additional touch to a batch?
Do you then store the chili oil in the fridge?
Can we use olive oil or mustard oil too ?
Idk why, i can't handle spicy food that well but sometimes when i'm eating it, i like to add more pepper. Does that mean my spice tolerance have increase? 🙁
You are so adorable BUT, what are the aromatics? The picture is a nano second flash and it’s gone. I am sure I am not the only one WONDERING what you used❤️
looks like green onions, parsley/cilantro?, bay leaves, cinnamon, ginger and star anise
I had tried some oils with peanuts, is common or no ???
Do you pre-roast the sichuan peper corns before grinding them down?
What is a substitute for Chinese Black Vinegar?
What aromatic did you use?
Made this last night and I may need to work on my heat tolerance more than I realised 😂
What would you use it with/for, other than soup?
Any guess what the temperature of the oil is when you add it to the chili? I tried such a recipe once and burned the chili flakes I think.
Chili oil is awesome in soups. I use two tablespoons
Love her channel, except that not once have i been able to find the recipe that goes with the video. Provide a good damned link!
Is it possible to add the spices into the hot oil?
You meant "without" in the title
LOL!
Is that lemon grass?
what are the proportions?
im from denmark
"aromatics" ingredient list ?
I understand the logic of using a neutral oil, but since keto and all (😅) I was wondering what if I use tallow for making this? could you try and show us or tell us if you have tried?
I think tallow would greatly change the flavor profile, but not necessarily in a bad way. It would depend what you are using the tallow on as the flavor will be more robust and beefy. And, when I render my own beef tallow it cools to a creamy solid so you won't end up with an oil until heated. Sounds like it would be good when added to a bowl of noodles.
@@misskriss848 and a lot of other nice things, I basically add it(chili oil) to almost everything. but a lot of savory vegetarian dishes will taste awesome with tallow based one. just put it near the stove while cooking or give it a few secs in microwave.
What kind of oil did you use ?
What is the name of that counter top stove?

Even if i could tolerate the spice i wouldn't be able to eat more than 1 or 1½ spoon of oil at once.
I can handle only one spoon 😉
This is true. I make a much more primitive version compared to this recipe and add it to everything Asian and then some
0 😫 I Have stomach issues and can’t have spicy.
I don't find it spicy and would just give up
W about she never tells what to put in it. Just add "aromatics" like what the fuck.
Omgggg
Because this soup I dint like it spicy for me
🐉🐺🐉🇺🇸🌟🌟🌟🇺🇸
It looks really good, sadly I have no tolerance for even the tiniest amount of hot/spicy food. Just looking at this gave me a mild case of hiccups. I did try a spicy sauce at a Korean place recently, it numbed my tongue with a small dab and I was sweating but I've had worse reactions.
Wait…. Why sesame seeds?
