The people of Rochester are a people of great morals, a big salute to this community that made me love Rochester, despite its cold weather in winter, but their feelings, morals and smile make us warm.
Been living in Rochester since 2006. I've seen exponential growth of the city. I love how it's becoming a little bit more trendy, and we definitely have a lot of Niche communities here along with city quirks and charms. But we could still use a Sonic, Red Robin, White Castle, Raising Cane's, Boston Market, and other better restaurants than eight McDonald's and like 5 subways... And perhaps the music scene can be a little bit bigger.
Hi Lucas, thanks for your comment and perspective. I agree with you on improving the music theme and adding a couple more different options for restaurants.
I agree Mayo is our highlight. We lack entertainment and better food options though we have some gems. Mayo controls a lot of the city. When I came here fresh out of college from the metro I found this city very boring for a young single. Good place to raise a family though because of how boring it is. But come here for Mayo or why would you, no other reason.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching. I am planning on doing neighborhood tours so people can see what Rochester looks like :) Is there a particular area of Rochester you are interested in?
@@actualpluto9569 Don't do it. THat place sucks. No good food or restaurants unless you love Subway.... THe weather stinks, and it's just a downright unattractive place with shitty architecture and nothing to do.
@@missouribushwhacker3366 is right. Living in Mayochester with it's insane sky-high taxes, and a downtown that is nothing but Mayo buildings and overpriced assinine "trendy" restaurants, with nowhere to park, or live becuz of the Maypo created housing shortages (Hiking the property taxes), the best thing is to run like hell away from here. I wasted 32 years at Mayo so I could retrire and not afford to live here, or want o anymore. Only ones you see saying it's great are realtors posting vids to make a buck. I'm outta here! Can't wait!
Remote start is a game changer (and heated seats). I won’t have a car without them while living here. And buy a snowblower! Having one is just as important as a lawn mower. Defiantly a mid-winter beach vacation is a blessing. The restaurant scene is getting better, and there are several I’d like to visit when restrictions are lifted. Overall, it’s not a bad place.
We are only “safer” because the mafia mayo clinic covers everything up, and one thing that Rochester is missing is night life activities. There are a lot of young people here because of Mayo Clinic that are nurses and what not and after multiple bars closing because of Covid permanently downtown is just awful and the nightlife is just a fail
Basements really? Nice and cool in the summer and you are going to appreciate having one when the tornado warning goes off. We have had multiple tornadoes here. Your Mayo comment is something specific to Rochester. The rest of your comments are general midwest stuff.
Thanks for commenting! You are right, basements are a great, safe place if there is a tornado. They are also cool in the summer and can be a great place to hang out.
It's less traffic because there's no damn lights nothing but dark ass roads for real Rochester is not a bad City it's pretty cool if you like to drink and party however they need more lights on these dark ass roads especially leaving Wisconsin through the bluffs coming into Rochester I'm just saying
Hi Tony, thanks for taking the time to write a comment. While Rochester does have Mayo, which is a world renowned medical center, it also has a lot of other great things to offer. :)
It's more humid than Florida in the sunshine in the middle of summer except for that the mosquitoes are twice as big and he got great big fat guys telling you that it's a good place to be
That's false unless you're living on a hill or plan to drive through deep snow. Snow tires are where it's at, and in many cases front wheel drive is your safer option anyway.
What's your *FAVORITE* thing about living in Rochester, MN?
Are you in Minnesota it's illegal to push your snow across the road
That clothes/shoes are tax free
Any homeless people in Rochester? We have a tons of Homeless all over Arizona and it becomes a real problem

Mayo Clinic is in Scottsdale, AZ, as well. It is huge. Some of the best cancer doctors specialize here.
I’m from Rochester, New York State and I’m here to see about this Rochester 😜
This Rochester is pretty cool too! :)
nice, where our AAA was at. Since I was born at this Rochester :)

Thanks for the video. Maybe if you do something like this again, you could show a slide show of different places around Rochester? Thanks again.

Great video, that is cool you are so close to the Mayo Clinic.
Thanks! It’s a great perk for sure.
I lived there for 5 years. Best part of Rochester is feeding the geese corn in the winter.
Best part of Rochester is leaving...
@@missouribushwhacker3366 Is it really that bad? Thinking about moving there soon.

Less traffic??? You must not live in Rochester. You ever try to get anywhere taking Broadway bout 3 to 6 pm? Holy smokes.
@Kate Ellison thank you 😉
Don’t take Broadway at that time. There are other N-S streets available.
The best thing about living in Minnesota is Winter. It is awesome place to live. Please stop complaining about winter. Just go for ice fishing 🎣😂😂😂😂
You are right! Winter can be fun in Minnesota too. Thanks for watching :)
The first thing I would like to change here is the public transportation ... least efficient.
I agree that there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to public transportation.
I went thru a muffler per year. The car never warmed up. You need to plug your car in at night so it will be warm.
If you live in Rochester, take advantage of the bus system. If else, an electric car is the best way to get around the city. 🔌🚗
Great advice!
Not in the coldest parts of the winter

Hi Steven happy to answer questions about Rochester.
Minnesotan it's not too bad it's not too cold yeah sure you betcha
I agree that Rochester is a not a bad place to live in! :)
I love basements. I was upset considering Florida that they don't have basements lol
Basements do have benefits and yes Florida doesn’t have basements but usually homes there have pools :)

No traffic? Dude have you even been downtown? Not a second goes by without a car in sight
I should have explained it better. There is definitely traffic but no traffic jams like you would see in big metro areas like LA, Chicago, NYC etc.
Thanks for complimenting my city m8
Thanks for your comment! Rochester is a great place to live in :)
This is the crappiest city I've ever seen.

Rochester is very boring there’s nothing exciting to do here. There definitely needs to be better restaurants to choose from.
