Nestle thst bowl in a larger bowl with dry rice warmed in the microwave in the bottom to warm the acetone which will speed up the process of removal quite a bit. The warmed acetone works better.

E-file = electric file aka what you’re referring to as a drill. The manual nail file is simply a nail file. Cutting down the false mail and filing down and buffing off any gloss or topcoat helps the acetone work faster by removing the barrier so it can soak in to breakdown the product.

I tried following the steps recommended and failed. They seem to be harder to scrape off after the chemical reaction with the acetone. Right about forcing it. Pinky finger is super painful after trying too aggressively. Back to 😢day 2 of soaking and scraping. Will keep you updated. 😢
Wow. These seem just as difficult to remove as the gel polish. Is it the nail glue that makes it hard? I was thinking of trying these but might stick to semi cure nail strips.

gel x should not make your nails weak, what people find makes their nails weak is incorrect removal. sometimes people who do their own nails find it easier to just pull or push off whats left of the fake nail, if you have to force it you should not be doing it. otherwise, gel x will not damage your nails!

I plan to start locs but have been hesitant bc I also love protective styles. Can u plz do a video on how long u keep your protective styles in, if they mess up the integrity of your locs, and at what month did u 1st try protective styling and how that went?
I did it in the very beginning as it was like doing the style any other time. Month 5-9 I let my
Locs do their thing to not mess the process up. I never keep them in longer than Two weeks. I don’t wrap

Great question: airtight bag that’s sealable like a ziplock then taken to a hazardous waste facility
If it’s only an amount to remove polish you can still put in a ziplock and dispose in the trash.
But it’s all based on how much.

As long as it is real 100% acetone, it should work! I get mine from Walgreens for cheap and it works after 10 mins of soaking.

I’ll figure a more holistic way but tbh fake nails aren’t the healthiest as it’s chemicals as well. U can drill them down to as low as u can tolerate and then soak so it’ll be less time. But I’ll still look into it

I soaked for 10 minutes so why is it still hard and not peeling off? I used my drill as well. I think I used gel glue with gel x tips.
