Any modern PC with a discrete graphics card would be great for these games. Are you buying a mini PC, building one or a combinationof both? Also what budget are you working with? Are you open to a gaming laptop? Lots of questions and a few good directions you can go in
The previous Kinhank 12TB drive had Hyperspin with 100,000+ games. The Hyperspin in this device only has about 55,000 but most of the other games have been moved over to the other front ends on the drive like Retrobat. Overall this is the better option, my only concern is in the instructions when you set up the device, it tells you to disable your antivirus so that you can install certain required files. That seems risky to me, can you confirm if there's no malware on the device that will negatively affect your computer?
Some of the emulators and exe files on the drive will be flagged as potential threats by Windows Defender or your anti-virus program. You also might get Windows Defender pop-ups when the higher-end emulators try to ping their update servers. All of that being said, I haven't encountered any issues with viruses or weird behavior on my computer after using either of the Kinhank 12tb HDDS, but YMMV.
@@retrohandhelds That's great to know.✌ You also mentioned that you had to update certain emulators to get them to run games smooth like PS3. How exactly did you do that? Don't see why not
Can you install emudeck on it and enable cloud saving to link saves with a steam deck?
Trying to drop MS Windows! Can this run in something like "Bazzite" or a Linux distro? or Maybe has its own OS so it load as "C"/main drive like the "Kinhank 2TB" drive runs as Main drive after bios drive select? NO windows that would be awesome!
If others don’t watch that TH-cam videos , they won’t know about the false / positives !!!!
Could someone Tell me do Nintendo switch and wii games worki only with orginal controller? I have Xbox controller.
Could this be played on a TV screen?
It needs to be hooked up through a PC, but you could easily consolize it using a miniPC wired up into the back of a TV.
Hotline Miami is badass!
I have a question what 12 TB.HD drive plug and play what you recommend that has no PC.Games
This one... have seen some people saying they deleted the PC game folder, and literally that's all they had to do
Where do you go to manually update the ps3 emulator?
Just curious - has anyone bought these, just to grab some ROMs?
(Yes I know you can find them yourself, but just to save time)
If yes, how did it go? Any issues with the ROMs? I have ton of handhelds, I might just grab the ROMs from this.
I also want to know this. I can have a full collection of 10-20 systems or so. PS2, GC, Wii U and everything before that and some PC games that don't require expensive PC to run and I will be all set.
Hi Sir, please help sharing how many PS3 games on the HDD? Thanks
EDIT: I just checked and see 170 PS3 games from Game list.
Please help with one question: Can I backup/copy those PS3 games to different HDD for my CFW PS3 console? THx
You can copy anything from the HDD. Some of the file structures are a little esoteric, but the files are there.
Do i need to have my anti virus turned off?
What controller are you using?
Can this device be attached to the steam deck via dock?
I bought one of these recently. Does anyone know how to resolve the following error: None of the Nintendo 3DS games work. The side bezels for the game appear but then the games crash and an error message appears. This happens using Retrobat. Is there a way to update the emulator?
Did you find a solution ?
@@leonardo.ditrapio No
@@leonardo.ditrapio For anyone that is wondering, I did finally fix this error. I swapped out my AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT video card with a GeForce 4070 Ti Super. Somehow, this solved the problem.

And here we just talked about these companies selling roms for profit.. lol.
Warez! Those were the days! Limewire, Edonkey2000, Winmx which was my fav, Kazzaa of course... I miss those days.
I dunno, Zu... this rubs me the wrong way, now. I find these products even worse than hosting rom files that we get for FREE of games we cannot get anymore. They're actually PROFITTING off of this, ya know?
I guess the upside is that you have tons of roms to add to your handhelds..
Does it have a good amount of ps2 roms?
just download them on vimm or romspure
I was getting script errors every time I tried booting a Future Pinball rom. Is anyone else running into this?
Does it have medal of honor or dune 2000
What do you mean by pc? Can I use this hard drive connected to my Nvidia Shield TV to play these retro games on my big living room TV?
This needs to be plugged into an x86 device.
Will it run on Linux? Steamdeck?
Can u use the roms on the drive with different emulators??
PS6 reveals with no games.
Meanwhile, 12TB of retro games with no hardware.
Someone really effed up.
Is there any space to add extra games?
Yeah, around 300 GB.
@@retrohandhelds thank you man, keep up the good work!
How many ps ps2 and ps3 games? I'm searching for one ps1 game specifically called diablo.
The full game list is in the description
Is there any chance THIS has Mutant Beach or Swamp Gas from the old Macintish computer??
Unfortunately no. FYI: the game list is in the description if you're curious about other stuff.
I couldn't get Tecnoparrot to work on the old drive. I t wouldn't play the games. and many other arcade stuff didn't work.
Is there a reason why they removed all the ps4/ xbox one games? vs from the attraction
They were bootleg Chinese PC versions 😂
@retrohandhelds makes sense I just realized they moved the ps4 category to the playnite area
who sells good external HDD that have newer games only not so many retro and arcade ?
@@FatmanGloves you can try hyperarcade systems….. also arcade punks if you have the download capacity
Hi, can someone send me the link to buy this version. I contacted Kinhank but they sent me the list for the previous model. I'm after the 200+ Switch games model
The link is in the description along with a game list. rh-go.link/12HDD-Refresh
Do you have an Amazon referral link?
Are there 2 player games?
Yes
Will this work on the rog ally handheld
Yes, but you'll need to be docked. The HDD needs to be plugged into the wall for power, so it's not exactly portable. Specs wise though, you should be able to play most everything on the HDD.
