What brand of just brakes did you have for your 8.8 rear end that's what I've been looking for for mine I believe it's a 97 Ford explorer if you can help me out on that I'd preciate it love your truck❤
The 8.8 I have is disc brakes. 1995 to 2003 explorer has rear disc. Look at the tag attached to differential cover for gearing. The Letter L in the id tag indicates limited slip so a 373 limited slip will read 3L73 a 410 will read 4L10. Good luck and thanks for watching.
How did that 8.8 ford rear end work out for you width wise, I also, s/10 under '52 1/2 ton and the E-Z kit to lower cab& box 2", good luck with your project👍🇺🇸🏴☠️
Did you use an extra cab s 10 frame.? Your audio low I'm deaf. I don't know which. I've got s 10 frame x tra cab and 8.8 Ford rear Laing around. Got find old body. Cool.
S10 long bed is 118 inches fits 53 Chevy short bed 117 inches ,the wheel base on a stock 53 Chevy always looks too short from the factory so the extra length in the long bed s10 helps fit the 53 body better than it was stock.
Looks good just curious as to why you didn't just use a 700r4,,, the over drive looks like the drive shaft is sitting on angle and should have separate mount for overdrive
I know it looks long but you do not mount the over drive to a cross member. The answer to why not use a 700r4, it is not a strong transmission it takes a lot more money to beef up than my th350. The over drive is rated to 2000 hp . Take a look at the gear vendor page for the info you seek.
@@jans53chevrolettruckbuild29 makes sense, l use 700r4s but I'm not running over 400 hp either, my 84 vette has a 4 speed manual transmission with a 2 speed overdrive automatic behind it , first time I ever heard of them is when I bought it,, my Chevelle has 400 turbo and all my fords have c6s.. they are bulletproof
I bought the GM surpentine front runner kit but you can find all the front bracket at the junk yard. The 82-94 s10 4.3s use the same brackets or the 350 capriice will both convert you to a surpentine one belt set up, but when using this set up you HAVE TO CHANGE TO A REVERSE RUNNING WATER PUMP.

Sorry reread your comment. I went to oreillys and bought the replacement brakes. Nothing special.
i see you used the s10 mounts did u leave then in the original s10 location and height or modify the mounts
I modified the mounts then used a hole saw to drill the 1 1/2 hole for the original S10 body mounts.

Inside of rear tires where extremely close to the bedsides. I’m running 3 inch wheel tubs. See my other video for info on the tubs. Thanks
My inner tire barley touched the bed sides. I tubbed mine but you could either run 1 inch spacers or buy wheels with a offset to fit.
Awesome job! 👌
Thank you Travis

Hey Brian,if you're looking for a cool body I've got a '51 Ford F1 I think is for sale!

Good morning can you tell me the part number to the smog pump elimination and what belt did you use. That would be very helpful to me. Thank you!

Thank you, your build looks nice. I hope we see more of it. Happy New Year.
The headers I had to modify. The are from a 88-98 Chevrolet truck I believe.
Can you share the dimensions for the bed lift?
Can you be specific ? The hinges or the dimensions of the frame that lifts up?
What is part number for the headers

Would be a bit cooler if it grew a third pedal!
