How to fix your bmw sound system (335i) e90 e92

- I ordered an optical loop bypass and i checked my bmw amplifier, tcu unit and satellite radio module and it was my satellite radio now im not going to have a satellite radio but i have sound on my system but i still can buy a satellite radio module.
How am just finding this video.. No audio for 1yr 4months and I refuse to pay those folks at the stealership.. U are the real MVP bro..
Really? I have a 2007 328i and the sub doesnt even knock or the back speakers dont even work
GREAT VIDEO... showed exactly what I needed to know and it worked the first try. I will also mention that the vendor making these Optical Loops on Amazon has changed their design and it now comes READY to work on our cars (2006-2009 BMW 335i) without modification.
LOL, I laughed at the nail clippers at first but it worked better than everything else.... LOL I just want to thank you for this video. My mulf 2 module was the culprit. I bypassed with this method and everything is back up and running. No more sos malfunction and warning chimes back on, I still have satellite radio Bluetooth and everything, not even sure what the mulf2 was even doing... Dealer wanted $2800 for a new CIC, crazyyyyyyyyy..... Thanks again Gabriel!!!

My SOS, TPM and Sat Radio stopped working too. The audio came and went for a while, but works constantly now. I sure was hoping it was a simple fix and not a new unit!

Hey I have a 335i and my alarms sound good like seatbelt and even the treble on my speakers but absolutely no bass !! My subs aren't blown out since I got them checked last week when I had my car at the dealer for a new water pump and thermostat (😰 mad expensive) I was wondering if this loop could maybe fix my problem also thanks.

Ok so I have a 06 bmw 330i I have sound from seat belt opening closing doors noise from the cluster... but no sound from my CCC navigation unit radio ? I bought a new display and hooked it up but it plays the music from my phone but no sound. Will the female Optical loop work?

Can anyone help I just bought a 335i I opened trunk and located the area for where the audio and bluetooth module boxes sit and the satellite radio is missing I get no sound or chime from the car. My question is, is the satellite radio box the problem or the amplifier?

Hello everyone, I appear to have a similar issue. I own a 2009 335i e93. Few months ago my audio, sound, everything just vanished. Would this bypass procedure help in my case? I appreciate any feedback
It only helps to troubleshoot which piece is the culprit so you don't go and order everything. So when you plug it into one of the units (amp, TCU or MULF in trunk) and the SOS error goes away/sound works...THAT is the unit that needs replacing.
apart from this fault the other fault is volume fluctuates up n down etc , iv found that on my 08 325 coupe that i was using i phone through aux lead , for some reason u can't stream music through the cars bluetooth system apart from voice calls , went to settings , fucked about wd all settings but no joy , loaded cds and the volume in car was fine and load , but wen i switched over to aux it was low volume bearing in mind i had good lead , done some investigating , found out that using aux lead through headphone jack lowers the quality of sound , but if use another lead which u attach to your phones charging port and insert into cars aux port that suppose to be the proper way of streaming the music , i went one better , i bought a ugreen wireless bluetooth 4.1 reciever with mic of amazon , plugged it in my aux port , connected my phone via bluetooth and job done , all my tunes are being licked out at full volume , no up n down nonsense and very very loud ! got to say though these speakers they put in 3 series are piss poor , they are very limited in mid and bass range !
I have sound in my car with SOS error but no Bluetooth function so I’m going to still try this.

Jorge Medina yo pienso que si por que son los mismo sintomas que yo tenia en mi caso lo puse en el satellite pero si es en tu amplificador por ejemplo pues lo connectas ahi

What if I tried the two modules and neither fixed my problem ?? The SOS light stopped popping up but still no sound ??

How does the satellite unit affect the sound??
all the modules are in series so if one thing goes out they all do.
Do you have to recode the computer when you put this on to clear the SOS error code? The dealer is looking to charge me 1 hour to install and 1 hour to code the computer. It doesn't look like any re coding was needed and it also doesn't look like an hours worth of labor to install.

When looking inside my trunk, I seem to only have the TCU and not the satellite. I bought the piece and it arrived this morning, trying to figure out what to do now. Looking at all the connections, it doesn’t seem like it was there and removed because there’s no loose wires or kissing plugs.
Hey did you ever find the satellite ? My satellite system isn’t in the back of my trunk either.
@@daanielcarrillo not all bmws came with satellite. If you don’t have audio try to bypass the tcu, if that doesn’t work try the mulf behind rear driver seat

My car doesn’t have the satellite unit only the TC unit but I have the SOS error. How do I fix this
I am in the same boat. I tried doing the bypass on both male connectors (Neon green wires) on the TCU but nothing worked. I even tried it before I used the nail clippers to be sure --- Nothing.
Luke Brignola did you check if your Amp is flooded? The left tail light is defective from factory and will flood your amp at some point with heavy rain.

Todo regreso exactamente igual como antes en mi caso. Talves si la falla uviera estado en el amplificador entoses si creo que uviera avido cambios en el sonido

+Deybis Martinez el sonido del bmw esta comformado por el ecu la unidad del satellite y el amplificador los tres esta conectados en circulo y si uno falla todo falla

mine was the tc unit! after unpluging the black cable now i have sound but my cd charger at the back doesnt work so now im stuck with only one cd at the front! anyone any ideas please??

IF YOU DONT HAVE SOUND: CHECK YOUR AMP IN THE TRUNK UNDERNEATH THE GREY COVER (CHECK THE FUSE AS WELL).IF THAT DOESNT WORK THEN YOU CAN TRY TO BYPASS IT WITH THIS METHOD.50/50 CHANCE IT WILL WORK.CHECK YOUR AMP IF THE RED AND YELLOW LIGHT ARE ON ITS IN SECURITY MODE SO IT MEANS THAT ITS FRIED.THE AMP COST $100-$350 ON EBAY DEPENDS ON YOUR VEHICLE.
Alma Diaz Where would the red and yellow lights be located on the amp? I'm seeing a red light inside the wiring harness plug when I detach it from the amp...is that what you're referring to?
