Good stuff. I'm young and dont have tonnes of money but have an LCI E60 530D MSport. saved me a lot on trips to the dealer allowing me to diagnose and fault find on my vehicle
Dean, I get no chimes, phone or audio sound. I unplug the MOST cable to the amplifier and give the amplifier a firm fist bump and everything works again, until the heat is too unbearable. Does my amplifier fan need to be repaired? I experience ambient heat exceeding 112F in summer. During winter, none of this occurs.

What order from beginning to end does a e92 335i most bus system travel. Like which order and which modules do you test first to last
im getting no sound from ccc, checked the fibre optic cables, all i can see is something under the passenger side glovebox that flashes red when unplugged, then all i have in the boot is a cd changer, no amp or anything else, light on cd changer also flashes red when unplugged, can you tell me what else i could check that i might of missed. everything works on the display, can mute it and unmute, search for different radio channels, just no sound from speakers, its a 2007 e91, thanks

Hello there can u help me to fix my audio is an bmw m3 e93 2010 American with top hi fi system cic I hit the SOS button and I think activated SOS on the dashboard but at days later we changed the battery and car was parked for weeks and I realized no more audio no beeping sound for open doors etc went out the only thing I did is check the fiber optic underneath the steering wheel there is not light can u help me?
Are E39’s burning oil common? Saw it had the whole pcv and oil seperator system replaced last year, new valve covers and I don’t see any leaks. Not much but like a quart every 2 thousand

Thanks for clearing that up. I have the SOS call failure symbol on mine, and didn't want to put a bypass loop in. Odd thing is... Everything still works, Bluetooth, sound, aux ect... I don't have the logic 7 or TV. Looks like the laptop Nd ista will have to get pulled out and I'll have to go through all the telematics and uncheck all the necessary boxes.

Hey all my optics are lighting red, NO sos symbol but no sound other then unlock chime. So radio not working. CCC fuse is ok what could it be?? A break in the wire. I replaced all modules besides CCC and Muf2, CCC working great, Muf2 lighting red, please help doctor

My 2008 328i has fibre optic to the amp as well as 12 volts but nothing seem to be coming thru the amp.

i have an e60 from 2005 that i just bought without a working ccc now there is a working second hand ccc in there that was put in by a garage i had sound for about 5 minutes when i wanted to turn the music up my music just stopped working and wont turn on anymore everything else still works just fine just no sound i have a base model so no bluetooth and logic 7 how do i fix this issue
I have a 2007 X5...Well well well...I was ready to loop the satellite radio out in order to get rid of the SOS code...Trying to avoid taking it to the dealership....that is expensive! The screen works sometimes with audio etc. Any other options? Tkx Doc!
How do I turn off the E61 hatch light the two light on the pillars? I would like to be able to leave hatch/glass open and not drain my battery.

BMW Doctor: My problem is. when thesound functions normaly i just turn off my car and turn it on again and the sound is gone i have no SOS light everything works normaly only radio is reseting him selfnow and then but still no sound sometimes it helps if i press mute buton some times the sound comes back but not always be proper sometimes only rear is playing or such weird thing and it crackles in the sound when i press mute unmute sometimes i get sound back likethese but most of the time not. then if the car stands for a day then maybe the sound works again until i turn off the car again and turn on the sound is gone again. and in my carly app it says registry does not match or something or cant wake up tryied 3 times and such and i dont know how to repair these or who can repair these i love sthe sound in my car but its annoying if it works then goes dead... please help
I have the CCC. No sos fault I have sound but it sounds fiat , bass is turned to max but still sounds flat . Is it the mulf issue or head unit
My bmw does NOT have the telecom (SDARS or TCU)
it has logic 7/hi-fi. It is still showing a malfunction code for SOS and display is stuck on "Telefon Aktiv" there is no sound.

So im having a weird issue on my 2011 320d e92. Bluetooth cant find my phone, my phone cant find the cars bluetooth, the aux dont work, and the USB dont work either. my radio works fine, and music that is already stored on the car from the previous owner. Just bluetooth, usb and aux dont work. I have a combox in the boot under the floor panel, no evidence of water ingress, their is a red light on the fibre optic cable going to the combox too. Any ideas?
What do I do if I have a light on the wire that inputs into the cic when I reconnect the battery, but it goes out about 20 seconds afterwards. When I plug it into the cic I have either static and visible satellite radio stations, or no satellite radio stations, no sound through aux, but the radio tuner and internal cd changer works with clear sound. I have no idea how to repair the fault in the optic cable plugging into the cic.

Hi Dean, I have just picked up a 2008 e91, with BMW Professional Radio (Alpine cd73), which does not work (PDC, gong sound not working too). I gave the Alpine CD73 to some guy, and he fixed the radio module (something with memory) and now the unit starts up on the table, but the radio is still not working on the car. So, we checked - and there is no power on the connector as well as no power on the respective fuse in the fuse box (behind the glovebox). The bimmer link software did not see the audio module. there is no amplifier in the trunk. Can you help me please with at least some info?

I have a question. I did a full non idrive to idrive retrofit on my 2011 lci e90 and i used all parts from a 2011 e92 needles to say everything works but the navigation. I have the navigation wire but do i have to run it from the blue center connector from the back of the cic to the antenna up top by the tear windshield under the headliner? And then code it?

Need help with 2009 BMW 338i. Radio is looping every 2 minutes. While it's on fm radio has sound, settings work, music on hdd don't work, map don't work. Final red fiber optic light under steering wheel shows flashing. My final tought is ccc bad. Any idea? (I am going by all I have read all over internet. I got an (SOS call system failure) alert on the dashboard after repairing the cables from the trunk lid.
The sound system and BT phone calls are still working great, and when I press the SOS button, it gives me the count down on the screen to call the emergency.
My car is: E61 LCI 2008 525d
any solution to get rid of that annoying alert?

need help. i replaced burned ccc head unit on my bmw e60 530i, 2007 with a used ccc unit. i installed it and screen turns on on idrive, however idrive screen is very, very slow and there is no sound audio on replacement used ccc head unit. need help. what do i need to do????

Doc I have a problem with my e90 plz help. As I was driving my 328i dash screen went blank, speedometer wasn’t working, ac was going off, showed battery light on dash. I left it at my friends house but it would still turn on till I came back a couple days later there was no power at all. I replaced alternator and charged the battery at autozone. Still nothing?? I’m considering replacing IBS?

I'm about to explode!!! I can not find 1 thing on my 2011 328i e90 most system that fits the way mine is set up.theres always something diff then mine.please help me before I explode.i have been trying to fig out the problem for days and days.
Here's what my issues is .I have a sos symbol showing on my dash cluster over a telephone symbol.im not worried about that and don't care about the phone so however my bluetooth is not working.they stopped at the same time.quick note...awhile back prob 2yrs ago the subs underneath my front 2seats stopped at the same time.cant fig it out and not sure if it connects to this prob so I wanted to mention it.ok so all my other speakers work and my radio plays fine.i don't have satellite radio .I bought the car used and just went what it had.so radio and speakers except the underwear subs all work.i have the radio and above it a cd insertion area and below the radio ofcoarse the air condition controls.in the trunk I have a little square amp that's on the left side of the trunk near the backend of the car sorta under and over from the tail light so the lower left corner so to speak.it doesn't have anywhere on the amp where a red fiber optic light would shine not does the cluster wiring harness that goes in it.then where the spare tire would be but it didn't have one when I bought it under the would be spare tire I have 1 just 1 long silver box.the box on the closest to the back seat is a fiber square plug with 2wires one being green the other in a black sheath. Next to that is a connector with a cluster of wires running that's it for that end of the box. On the other end facing the rear of the car has five places with something hooked into it the far left one being a tan-colored round knob with a pink thing on the top of it the one next to it is a black round plug in the one next to it is a blue round plug-in that has nothing in it then there's a little square area that empty then there's a pink round plug that's plugged in and then there is a pink and black square plug that's plugged in if I unplug the square pink and black when there are no lights that show on it I believe I saw a video where they're supposed to be a light that lights up in it and there is not. Going back to the other end next to the backseat the fiber-optic green wire black wire or she sat plugin has a pulsating red light. Every time that light pulsates it makes a heartbeat noise sounds exactly like a heartbeat you can hear even in the engine bay of the car and it doesn't throughout all my speakers that work. I'm pretty much lost from that point trying to figure out where it runs to after that or where the next connector would be to check besides the one connector underneath the steering wheel above the pedals to the left I know is a some kind of fiber optic connection I unplugged it there is no lights on it. From here that's all the info I know I have no idea where the next connector is to check I have no idea if I'm supposed to pull the head unit out and see a green light blinking or red light I have no idea any other information than what I just told you. I bought a fiber-optic Luke that is the two-pronged not in the square casing just the two prongs that I plugged into the blinking light that was read on the square box in the trunk of the car but it fixed nothing it won't plug-in to the pink and black one they don't match up I have no idea where to check next and I don't want to tear the car apart trying to find fiber optic checkpoints. I don't know what kind of system I have what it's called I think I saw something said it was a total professional I don't know anyting all I know is every video I've watched as everything on every cotton-picking fiber-optic then you can think of but the layout that I have
I have a 2010 E60 535i that has an SOS failure, no BT and no AUX… but I have sound (radio… FM/AM/WB) if I code out my SOS unit ( if I can find it) will my BT and AUX come back? CCC system
I had retrofitted with avin before. Then it cut out and the screen stopped working. I purchased a replacement smaller screen as I was over it. But now I have audio. I can only do volume and change stations through the steering wheel but the screen will not power up and the I drive dial is kaput. I can’t check any status on the engine and the date etc w/o the screen. Please any idea what I need to do??

If my i drive went black and i am only getting a k can no communication fault code. I checked the fiber opticts and changed the ccc my screen came back and went black again. What do i do brother please any advice...

I have problem with my e 60... be4 4 months i had a trip and there were like many curved streets so i had water in my back room of the car and the car so i found like 1l of water under my spare tire near the mpm so the car started to act weird and the screen is not starting like its off the whole time and there is no radio and nothing
