Man, this trailer, for the first time, really made me want to see some Fallen Empire to kick some actual ass. While I can't pint point an exact reason when/how it happened, but somehow overtime they lost all the menace they used to have
You just learn to deal with them, and treat them kind of like a normal warmongering empire. But I do think they could use a rework, and be expanded upon. I'm also not the first one to think so. Meanwhile, there are mods that make them harder. My favorite one is Ancient Cache of Technologies, because it adds post-FE and post-Crisis challenges.

Not gonna lie, I would love Stellaris 2. I'm kinda choked it's still probably years away. Love Stellaris, love that they keep working on it, but I think that now that the first iteration was a huge success, they can build on that.

I wouldn't mind it, but they added too much content with DLC and I doubt they would give all the DLC content for free.
