YES! Thank you for being true to the products and application (i.e., no fancy makeup brushes - finger application used instead). A lot of folks claim "authentic" 1920's makeup - and wind up using modern cosmetics, brushes that didn't exist for the "everyday" woman back then, and only seeking to mimic the b&w photos of movie stars - a far cry from "authentic."
oh finally a real video on acurracy with out using MAC brushes blushes eyshadows lipsticks lip brushes. how can they say historically accurate when it isnt. thank you!!!!
Many thanks, I have been researching "flapper fringe dress sale" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Panadarson Flapper Falbala - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my m8 got great success with it.
This is glorious, I have been researching "1920 flapper hairstyles" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Panadarson Flapper Falbala - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.
Very helpful!!!! Thank you!!!!! Going to a Valentine's Day 1920's -themed ball tonight for my grad school, and I wanted to know how to do my make-up accurately! This was perfect!
THANK YOU! The authenticity is refreshing. I shoot in retro (and always get the hair wrong). Seeing this tutorial is wonderful. And yes, I have subscribed. Keep up the good work!
I can't believe I didn't see this 5years ago when it was posted but I'm so glad I've found it now!! ❤ THANK YOU. I'm making a historically acurate film and I need the accurate make up for an actress but I also need the everyday. This was wonderfully educational. Thank you so much! ❤
Yes it agree check out photos of important women not connected with fashion. Yes make up used lipstick mainly. Most I found tended to do a slight cupid lip just not as apparent as a Hollywood actress
beside the nice makeup you show us, I'm pretty sure, that these footages has been colored afterwards. The question is, if they have colored them in the 20s or in another decade. nice video anyway. :)
I love this and do my makeup similar to this all the time, it's nice to see someone doing it more casual

What did they use in the 1920s to apply make up?
Agree Lorrain,, As a former makeup artist I have done extensive research of the 20's.
