Who will not fall in love with Agnetha after the first 30 seconds? Both girls are amazing here. One of their best live performances. And Kisses of fire does belong to my own ABBA GOLD.

As Good As New, also from the Voulez Vous album is a real treat. I think you’ll enjoy that one!

Voulez Vous is my favorite Abba album. Kisses of Fire & King has lost His Crown are my favorite tracks.

Great album tracks from "Voulez-Vous." Two more to go from that album: "As Good as New" (another funky jam) and "The King Has Lost His Crown." (Not sure how to describe that one! LOL)
The Voulez-Vous album is pure diamond to me. I love each and every song on it`s own and the album as a whole. Please react to The king has lost his crown. I just love Frida`s warm sound singing the solo.
Agreed on!!! I love love love these two songs!! I have always been a fan thou - my first ABBA album I got when I was 7 years old, back in 1977, and I've loved them ever since :D

OK, first you fell in love with Karen Carpenter and now, my girls in ABBA!! Great taste in music to review!! I knew our 70's music was awesome but reactors like you truly affirm that I grew up in the best years of music - the 60's, 70's and 80's!! Keep it up...ABBA has a huge catalog of excellent songs. I love their outfits, always memorable
Even though this clearly is not live, and their live performances are usually very good, I still love watching ABBA , well mostly Agnetha and Frida, perform their songs. Try "I Am the City" if you wanna hear something totally different from ABBA.
Ya Agnatha and Frida are the best but the guys are the behind the scenes people that ya really need.

I haven't seen that performace since back in the days! My dad recorded it on the VCR and I watched it over and over. In the show there was also one skier who did "ballet", olympic sport back then, and a figure skater, who was faboulus at pirouettes, like all Swiss figure skaters are. Well, these two songs are good and I can"t decide which album is the best!
Hi Jay Im a huge fan of ABBA and I thank you for your reviews of them (and all the reviews you do) I really like the way you break them down I really appreciate you putting the words to the songs up also. I was actually suprised that being such a fan I did not know some of the words in "Lovers" " She said that every result she had backed her" in the first verse and "(Ahh, please don't wait)" in the second verse .I really love that part of the song, I love the way Agnetha seem so warm up before she does "Aah please don't wait" I couldn't wait to see how you reacted to her at that point. When I see you hear these songs and your reaction to them , I actually feel like I'm hearing them for the first time again through you . I get the same feeling that I did when I turned on my friends to them . Thanks for being so cool and making me relive my excitment for these songs. I have an ABBA song that maybe someday you could review "You Owe Me One" (I bet nobody ever suggested that song) One of the very last song they did , maybe not the best But I used to love it ,very poppy , happy, bouncy (Maybe a bit repetitive) ,Anyway Have a great holiday and stay safe Bill

The cameraman seems to concentrate on Agnetha a lot in the first song.
Lovers has a great contrast (like The Name of the Game) between their two voices. Frida with the smooth vocal (like on Supertrooper) and Agnetha bringing more dramatic emotion. I like seeing that interplay of voices and I wish ABBA had done that more.
A problem with music can be losing that excitement after you've heard a song many times, and with popular music of course listeners normally only know one recording of a song. At least with classical music you can often listen to a different interpretation. Though, at least for a while, there can be some excitement in knowing something is coming in the music as well.

The performances is from a special ABBA in Switzerland. It took place in Leysin and featured other artists as well as ABBA. Kate Bush and Roxy Music. The special highlighted material off the Voulez Vous album. The performances were not live, but lip synced. But Does Your Mother KNow might have a live, different instrumental than what was released on the album. Not sure if it's live or just different tapes used that got changed last minute before the release of the album.

congratulations for choosing the video of the presentation in Switzerland with the two songs
So you can see the body attitude that girls put to what you already heard in the study
And in this case it is very important, since both are sexy and seductive,
more in the second song with the explosive interventions of Agnetha
(I would risk saying she looks almost wild, less than two months after her separation from Björn)
If they weren't hits, it's because the album "Voulez Vous" came out four singles in the U.K.
all Top 5 but none #1:

I've always felt Kisses of Fire needs more space to develop. The jump from the intro straight into the chorus is just too much of a shock. Space considerations on the LP may have been part of the decision
There crutch shows even threw tight I wonder why is tht
