That shop is absolutely spotless. You can tell Kenny likes to stay organized. He had a clean funnel. Can you imagine having a clean funnel you can just grab? haha
God bless you Kenny. I understand why you race dirt tracks. This is how you have fun. Keep it up, you my friend are an inspiration to us "retired guys".
Kenny, You are a blessing. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I worked as an auto repair technician for 45 years and have transitioned to teaching high school auto tech. I’m 64 and it’s way too early to think about retirement. 😊 You inspire me and I thank you again for sharing your life with us on your channel. I’m always a fan!
You amaze me, you're doing exactly what I do every pre-race and after race. I'm 63 years old and I've been building and rebuilding my sons race cars since he was in karting at age 5. He is 26 today and running his 2nd year in Modifieds here in Phoenix, AZ. We have a small 3-car garage and a 20 ft trailer, but we manage to do everything we need to get in all the racing we can afford. (20-30/year). I love the tips you showed in this video, love the way you are just as organized and methodical. I found some new things in this video that will help us, like the extra nose piece you have pre-assembled in the front of your trailer, the plastic pieces you put under the front tires to adjust toe. (We shut off the compressor whenever we shut down the garage, like turning off the lights.) Thank you for sharing, keep being you, brother.
It's awesome when he's walking with his back to the camera if you didn't know any better you can't tell the difference between him and Rusty from behind. Definitely can tell they're brothers. Love the Wallace family
It's like working on BIG trucks. All the prep at home keeps you safe and profitable on the road. If you have a truck, or race car, and you're not working on it, you'll regret it. Love the video Kenny. Thanks for sharing.
Really great to see what goes on behind the dirt track scene. We are up in Northern Illinois, and get out to Sycamore Speed way a few times per year. Always a highlight in summer. Thank you and all the race teams/ drivers for your passion….you feed ours as well. Stay safe Kenny!
Kenny, I am just a 60 year old long time racing fan, however I thoroughly enjoyed this load up video. Your shop appears very organized and you know where everything is, which makes your job a lot easier I am sure. Thanks for sharing and hope to see more videos like this. 🏁
I'm two years older Kenny. You work like I do and your passion for you what you do is awesome. Found your channel a month ago. Keep doing what you love. BTW do you reflect back to Talladega pushing the ultimate racer's racer Mr Dale Earnhardt to a win? Great memory in Nascar. Big respect brother.
Love your channel Kenny Your the greatest man keep up the great stuff. I wished i lived closer to you to come and talk racing with ya. Our family loves your personalty on everything.
46:35 that quote right there is a prime example of what’s missing across most of America these days. You have a torn up right arm. You don’t let it stop you. You don’t whine.
This was fantastic. Can't explain how good. One of my all time favorite youtubes. Could watch this all day. I run a hillclimb, autocross and circuit car on my own just mainly at club level (fitting, turning, engine rebuilds/mods, wheel alignments, body work, respray, fab, tire change/balance...the works). Nothing like your set up Kenny (a fraction of the size ie a Mazda 4x4 ute and a car trailer as opposed to your smaller enclosed trailer). Problems solving, routines, patience, self-constructive-criticism, I love all that. You teach me heaps and I enjoy the stories. Thanks Kenny!
I LOVE this video! Takes me back to being in the shop with my Dad and Cousin in Witchita back in the day when they had their dirt modified. I live in Oregon now and have stage 4 colon cancer. We have a dirt track here called Willamette Speedway that I make it out to a couple times a year but damn, I sure do miss the summers I'd spend back east going to a different track every weekend if not multiple in the same weekend. I would kill to come back and go racing for a week with a team of good ol boys that live to race and that afterwards sit around, have a couple drinks and tell stories from the old days. I really love that you do all this on your own, it shows a lot about your character Herm. Hope to see some more videos of you working on the car or maybe even on the track. Brings back some great feelings for me
Tell em kenny! You mess with the bull, you"ll get the horn! There are very few who have the same passion you do and to learn the sport and be trustworthy, honest, and hard working. I'm happy your still able to race and do the work necessary to have a good finish. Thanks for a glimpse into what goes into packing up and goin racin! Most people have no idea. Thanks
love the content, I'm 59 years old and just started my own you tube channel , 757 customs, been working on cars since 1980, did some drag racing in the 80's -90' , keep doing what you are doing, love it.
Its great to see behind the scenes of what goes in to dirt track racing. We live in Northern Illinois and get out to Sycamore Speedway a few times a year. Thank you to you and all the drivers that have this passion. It feeds our passion as well! Awesome! You really are a one man show. Hard work but so fun. Love your videos. Love your attitude and positive vibes!
The younger generation could learn a lot from you. I'm in my 60's and they can't keep up with me either. Love all your videos. Came over here from stapelton42's channel. Great content with you over there. Are you planning on showing any content of your dirt days today? That would be fun to watch.
I just wanted to let you know that you brought back a part of my youth. We raced at Cherokee Speedway every weekend. You are so right about not being able to get anyone to work. Good luck 👍 ❤God bless you and keep you safe 🙏 ❤️
JEGS really is a decent company ive never had problems with customer service. No one has ever built me an engine like jegs 600hp LS for $13k warranty complete plug and play i beat on it no problems. if its got good oil pressure hammer! It! Thats what its built for.
I didn't get on a track until I was 52. I grew up near Hueytown and the joke was that I was the only one of my friends without a stock car :-) Red Farmer is my hero..;.. I saw him at the Ice Bowl this year at the Dega dirt track. Which means I have almost 40 more years to learn this game, right? :-) F97!!!! One thing I have in common with Kenny is that I am as happy with a wrench or jack handle in my hand as I am the steering wheel.
I know this comment is 9 days late, but Kenny this video is beautiful! I would watch videos of you getting your racecar ready and loaded up to race! Very entertaining, and I love how you are a 1 man team!
Man you inspire the crap out of me Kenny. I love racing so much so obviously i enjoy everything you talk about. But man you inspire me to bust my ass to get to where i want to be.
i started riding motorcycles on track last year - showed up to a lesson last month with only 4 hours of sleep. Rode like shit the whole day and this advice just really hit me - I remember thinking on the track that this wasn't fun and I'd rather be in bed. Never had that attitude before - you gotta want it bad enough to do good in the things you love.
What an inspiration to all those tired people! I get it ,I love the show ,I’m 58 years young, still playing with my cars from the 80s and loving every minute of it! 🛞💨
Hi Herman from Salt Lake City! Met you a few weeks ago a got your autograph when you were here. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, thank you for always practicing shop safety with regards to CO and ventilation and just being safe. I found this video very informative and extremely interesting and I wouldn't expect anything less from the Hermenantor! Anyway, stay safe and see you later! PEACE!
Funny story.....I found myself watching your video last night by accident kinda... The husband went to bed and left TH-cam playing on the tv after a bit your video popped up and as much as i wanted to turn off the NEXT VIDEO ABOUT RACING (((cause I had enough race stuff for the day))) you just caught my attention and I could not stop watching. I think it's great you get to do what you love and this viedo opened my eyes to a few things I might look at differently when my husband is working on his racecare. It felt like I was right there hanging in the garage with you. Thanks Kenny.🥰
That was awesome Mr Kenny Wallace!!! Number 36 reminds me of Joe Shear!!! Rockford speedway that will be closing after this season!! Have always enjoyed listening to you , you are the man!!! Good luck and keep enjoying yourself!!!
I love watching your show. On top of that you love living. I used to be until my wife passed on January 26th and now. Also I love racing even though I'm old a shit. 70yrs old but I'm still kicking.
Kenny great video. Yes nice garage but you work to keep it nice. When your finish using a tool you put it a way. Your a detail oriented person. Thats why your a winner. How about getting Rusty to run SRX with you next year.
love your channel ! past crew member here ,love the way you keep the shop and everything so clean I"m the same way ! I worked with Mark Miner and Stan Massey on dirt late models in the 90's and with MIckey Gibbs Before that .
Hi Kenny watching you load up shows that your very organized allowing you to do it yourself plus you get peace of mind knowing it's loaded right.your a good man great driver good luck at the race's and have to much fun !
Glad to see your still running it Kenny! I never got the opportunity to meet you but you knew my dad Destry Robertson all the stories he’d tell me about going and racing with you would get me absolutely rolling hopefully I’ll get to see you race before you hang it up
You’re funny as hell I love your dedication and your work ethic and you tell it just like it is and I love that you’re 60 years old and can still kick their ass By the way your car looks awesome❤
Great video Herm. Your organization is just exemplary. Clean ,neat and well organized. I'm obsessive compulsive, mono moniacle with organization but you may just top me there. 💯
Have to say i raced stock car class did every thing from built the car from the ground up and raced 136 races all by my self. so your rite if you want it bad enough you can do it. God bless you and yours David
The Smartass In you is very correct people never know what goes into it. But if you love it it’s never really work. Btw love your channel we’re the same age and man have we lived through the best times WOW 👍👍👍 3 FOREVER 🏁
This brought back so many memories. I recall sleeping in the truck in the parking line for the worlds 100 in the late 70’s. I also was there by myself. For most of my racing days it was just my 5’2” wife and myself there. The “humper” tires were almost bigger than her. As I recall there were almost 200 cars there. Good times You are correct that the help doesn’t have the passion or skills that makes it fun. Can they tighten the bolts for the aluminum quick change cover without stripping them? While this seems simple the results can be catastrophic. So even the most simple tasks can keep you from making the race even with all the work done getting ready for the track. Good luck and keep happy.
Hey Wallace! You don't have a 'normal' show! Ever. LOL Red Farmer... there's a name I haven't heard in YEARS! Love the bungie cords around the paper towels... its almost like you opened the trailer one day and found all your towels unraveled on the floor of the trailer!! 🤣😂 Thanks for the look at loading the car, and what you do to prepare! Great video! 😎
Great video. I like seeing how everyone does their job and this was awesome. You are very informative. I had several laughs because of what you said. My dad sometimes would say “it’s just easier to do it myself”. I know what he means now. Sometimes it takes longer to clean up others mess when a guy could have done it quicker and know how the job is done correctly. Lots of honesty with you.
Dam, Herm not only talks the talk but he walks the walk as well. Much respect for ya Kenny and don't ever stop racing and tinkering with that dirt car. Hope to see you at Eldora one of these days.
I feel like I was watching myself get cars to get ready to race every weekend by myself. Good help is hard to find. You have a lot of ways of making it easy on an old man. I like your style Kenny. We are men of action. Ima 66 year old dragster driver. I’ll see you in the lanes.

Kenny, Thank You for allowing us to hang out with you in this video.. I met you in Dover years ago, you haven't changed one bit.
Super nice guy.

Thank you Kenny. I raced myself dirt street stocks and asphalt modified by myself many times. You are my hero.

You’re a national treasure, my friend this was very very good. They need to get you back in the broadcasting booth and pay you millions.👊
Never be ashamed of your accomplishments. Some people will always be jealous of your accomplishments. Work hard you will eventually prosper.
You are a bad ass K.W. Keep on living that good life!
Great video HERM !
Brings back a lot of memories
Admiration and respect. Provides us all with enjoyment.
Hello Kenny.I like how you are so genuine. Thanks letting us inside your life and your racing shop Cheers Jboy
Hey Wallace! You don't have a 'normal' show! Ever. LOL
Red Farmer... there's a name I haven't heard in YEARS! Love the bungie cords around the paper towels... its almost like you opened the trailer one day and found all your towels unraveled on the floor of the trailer!! 🤣😂
Thanks for the look at loading the car, and what you do to prepare! Great video! 😎

This is much funner than any of the college football games on! (…New Years Day 2024! Happy New Years Herm & Family!!!…)
Would love to see how the rear end is set up . What allows the driver side wheel move forward? In the turn under power ?

Car looks good. Love the Red Dog vibes and these kind of videos.
Thanks Kenny enjoyed the work day final preparations. You're definitely a worker I see why you've been so great in your career

Thanks Kenny, enjoyed it!
Kenny, your garage is very clean and organized. Awesome. 😎
I love all the technical stuff Kenny shares. Good stuff!
I feel like I was watching myself get cars to get ready to race every weekend by myself. Good help is hard to find. You have a lot of ways of making it easy on an old man. I like your style Kenny. We are men of action. Ima 66 year old dragster driver. I’ll see you in the lanes.
That was AWESOME.....
Thank you 😊
