More than satisfied, had great 11 years with her 4 more to go.
Still reaches 118 km/hr.
Ridden 1,32,000 kms.
Third pair of tyres.
4 times clutch work done.
5 times chain set done.
Mileage in Delhi 45-50 km/ltr.
Piston block and engine block untouched.

My daily run is of 60-70 kms a day, Gulabi Bagh in North Delhi to Gurgaon in Haryana. Hardly ever goes hard on throttle, accelerate linearly. Cruise on 40-60 with optimal gears change.
Try to ride in this way, you too might get great mileage.

Got it serviced 10 days ago. Always used full synthetic engine oil. Got new chain set, front forks alignment, two new seals, oil for shockers top - up. Got new LED BULB, this is first non stock article used.
Really love my bike. Lots of memories with it.

Are u serious that Fzs seat is stiff I personally feels that gixxer has worst comfort in seating and a step forward is the Apache 160 but Fzs is good in Rider and pillion comfort..

Bro, our assessment is based on back to back riding of all three bikes. FZ is a good bike, however hard seat cushioning could be an issue for some on long hauls. 🙏
I own a fzs v3, yes the seat is more comfortable than gixxer and I don't know about Apache.

If the handle bar is positioned properly as per rider's arm stretch then yes Gixxer is a comfortable bike. I am saying this after riding 11000km+. The bike is smooth and zippy across tight lanes of Kolkata averaging at 42 kmpl+. There is a problem though, some substantial number of gixxers have engine oil leak issue from the magneto coil wire, mine did just after 6.6k and changed but ok thereafter. They won't even argue , rather simply prefer to change it if you call the customer care already. Service centres are still to be increased but response time is good. Headlamp could be brighter. Horn could be louder rather mewing like cat. While taking sharp turns u would feel the power and it would seem that the bike wants to help u if your technique is correct. Since it Meters by carburettor , so even if you live in city outskirts but want a descent looking bike then go for it as it could easily be checked by your local mechanic at urgent times, fuel injected bikes have a problem it rodent snaps even one wire then ur bike becomes as useless as cart without bulls. Top speed is 121kmph, actually I had to slow down as I approached the toll Naka. Rear brake is no so punchy but the front one is damn good and life saving, if used properly. And boy my mother find it impossible to sit how mother's want to sit on bike, u know I guess, But u can ofcourse adjust the seat level by 7 steps. Since it is not liquid cool so no radiator so no extra maintainence needed. The lock and key quality could be better. I believe u don't want and won't get a jet turbine for a lac of rupees and gixxer is a good and healthy liability at that cost, while buying just take that extended warranty and road side assistance and enjoy.
Can we adjust suspension on fz v3 cuz its bit on stiffer side.
Gixxer is a combo of power n comfort of both d rival bikes

I got the metric black n it's been two weeks now. My finding
1 - Macho looks, nothing can beat the looks in the segment, not even the 250 cc bikes mostly
2 - 50 + mileage per litre or even more, running as per manual instructions as of now
3 - Broad pillion seat, finally friends n family can be seated with comfort.
4 - Smooth n refined engine
5 - Very good suspension with awesome road grip.
And many more.

@@DilipKumar-gp8nx hornet 160 is good for milage, not ment for good top speed but have a good pickup. There is no Killswitch in hornet. It is carburetor bike.

I feel gixer is moderate in power, flexible,good road grip , better milage....
Very nice & brief comparison review. Looks of 160 4v is outdated now because 200 4v has already been in market for a long period. And , gixxer is even older than that.
My choice is clearly the new FZS V3 with macho looks and grand road presence. Getting it soon in matt Black.

Gixxer any day. Suzuki Engine has same performance even after 20 years
Gixxer have clutch plate problem for years... Mechanics where i live consider gixxer to be a failure bike... Not by performance but by maintenance, parts availability and build quality...
@@deeppatel4737 s there is a problem in older version in 2018 edition it was cleared bro all parts are available in chennai i serviced my bike before 5 month.4 years old still awesome 35000 km completed, still i clocking 120 in bypass bro.
@@deeppatel4737 Riding gixxer for past 4 years ..no clutch plate problem nd giving the same performance like day 1 ..build quality of spare parts is not good..engine side its excellent
@@deeppatel4737 it's been 3.5 years since I owned Gixxer, I don't have any issue with it so far. I look after my bike very well. Maintenance is quite tricky. After I started using synthetic oil it's performance got even better. Smoothness has increased over time, throttle sound got better and top end is slightly better as well now with negligible vibration. Yamaha or Apache aren't so efficient after a while.

Gixxer is best in performance but only negative is pillion seat and stock headlight.... No vibration in 80-90 kmph and little vibrate in between 100 - 115 kmph

2. Good anchor with good command over the knowledge about the bikes.

5. Final touch to ask the viewers to wear helmets. Reminiscent of CNB.

1. Invest in a slightly better camera with more fps. It's very visible in toned down shots

Imo apache 160 4v is the best 160 cc bike available right now,,and if you want to buy a bike,,make sure that your rear tire is equipped with drum brakes because if rear tire disk brakes doesn't have abs,,then they are worse because they will lock more easily

After many research finally I bought YAMAHA FZS V3.0. and believe me it's not just good it's best. Milage is about 51 kmpl plus and comfortable too.

Have been drilling into reviews after reviews..and still can't decide between fzs and gixxer. Power isn't the needed criteria for me. What is essential for me is comfort and mileage ( and low maintenance if it can be helped).

U said if u apply hard rear brake the tyre can skid, but I hv a scooty and I had applied my front disc hard I felt that the rear tyre having drum brake was still in motion and it skidd off I fell down, can u please explain the braking in detail

Suzuki gixxer (DD) is 2 lakh 20 thousand.
Yamaha fzs v2 (DD) is 2 lakh 59 thousand.
Yamaha fzs v3 (ABS) is 2 lakh 80 thousand.

Bro, Gixxer is good value for money. Its a good package of style, comfort and decent linear performance including good fuel efficiency.
