    Love the colors!
Orange, yellow, black (and red) always work great together.

The Peregrine gave me a ankle tendon issue which lasted about 4 months, the Trabuco 9 I thought had bad heel slippage, but I think the Trabuco 10 is close to perfect for me, it’s very like the old Fuji Trabuco 6 which was a brilliant shoe 👍🏻

I have that shoe in the same color way but I am saving it for winter. I always buy non-Goretex trail shoes for running in snow in city. You don't need GTX when snow is white, clean and dry. Those conditions keep trail shoes basically new. There is almost no change in cushioning and no wear in upper or outsole and best off, shoes don't get dirty at all!

How waterproof is them when used in the forest on a rainy day or in the winter when it’s + degrees?

I’d do my long and recovery runs in them! Having very very narrow feet asics are always to look at! A good shoe, ASICS grip is grippy unlike most the Nikes people wear. I see a lot of them worn by people who have had and accident or a fright in canicross and have a shoe like this to build up that confidence in foot placement and the power. Have been looking for a good daily this weekend and only just started and this is number one !

Really interesting, are you gonna try the trabuco 13? Looks quite different

Much better than the first. The upper was a disaster on the first one. Not sure why you missed that comparison.

Try Saucony Peregrine 12 if you can! It is a very good shoe. I significant improvement over Peregrine 11. It is pretty light and uses the same PWRRUN foam that you liked at Guide 15. Peregrine 12 also has a flexible rock plate which is awesome. I have tested it on trails with sharp rocks and felt no discomfort at all.

I was considering this one but once I heard you say not a "fast" shoe I will just keep looking 😂

      @@FordyRuns Even the wide version?
I find the standard Speedgoat 5 to be wider than the Asics running shoes in the forefoot.

They are not very breathable to me and don't dry out very quickly. But other than that I love them.

How do these compare to the Xodus ultra by Saucony?

Buy Exodus Ultra…More cushioned and soft light than Trubaco 10

    Try the Solomon ultra glide
    That’s the best trail shoe

Are you running up the tourist path on Nevis?
Over the last 2 years I've been up 55 Munros (hills that are 915m+ in Scotland) and I use Adidas Terrex Skychaser boots, the Continental outsole is amazing for the terrain on our hills and is super grippy in inclement weather.
What about looking at some of the Terrex running shoes with the same Continental rubber? Loads of discount codes as you know.
You can get up the tourist path in flip flops or a pair of Air Max 95's in all honesty, obviously not advised but it is a well maintained route that doesn't need a specific technical trail shoe. There are other Munros out there that are far more technical underfoot.
Fingers crossed you get good weather 🤞

@@FordyRuns no problem, the John Muir Trust do a great job looking after it.
The 5 mile descent from the summit might give the knees a bashing so something to be wary of. A lot of people use poles to help take the strain.
