"A Momentary Lapse of Reason" is such an underappreciated album. Many dismiss it because Waters was gone but it stands on its own with other PF albums. On the Turning Away and Learning to Fly are great songs.

Bobby Dodd stadium Atlanta, GA on the second night for me. The first night sold out immediately then they announced a surprise second performance for the next night. A classmate had just introduced me to Pink Floyd earlier that year and they have been my favorite band ever since. When the second night was announced she asked if I wanted to go with her and her friends to try to get tickets. I found myself sitting at what would have been front row seats at the 50 yard line had it been a football game watching the performance of a lifetime. It was an experience I will never forget.

Jamal, your description of the show with people sitting quietly, mouths open just trying to take it all in was exactly how it was. I was there the night after this recording and I remember looking around and seeing people just like that, and I know that I was. When those brown and green lasers were firing above our heads it was just incredible. I just love the solo in this song and especially the lyrics which are so deep, I mean how real is the line "There's a silence that speaks so much louder than words, of promises broken", genius.

I was born and raised in Fort Apache, The South Bronx. My mother was a bartender. When the man came around to change the records on the jukebox, he would put the old ones in a box, and hand them to my mother, they were considered disposable. I had every kind of music imaginable on 45s. This allowed me to hear and appreciate every kind of music that was being produced at the time(late 50s-early 60s). Everything from Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley , to Motown and the Chipmunks. It's so important to listen to different kinds of music! I so enjoy seeing you react to all the various Great Music available. Everything is on the Internet, now. Keep up the good work. Show the young Brothers and Sisters that music is not limited by race, age, or situation. You are doing a great public good! KEEP IT ALIVE!!!

I agree with you though. I have two lists: My Playlist and My Top List.

The last song "Louder than Words" is good, but they put a xylophone in there, and I rarely think that fits in any rock or blues music. I sometimes wince when I here the xylophone thinking "WHY?"

I was so lucky to see pulse concert 3 times. I went to so many concerts but I never saw something like that. Pulse concert was the best life experience I had. Watching or listening to the video is amazing but being their was something I cannot describe. We were surrounded by music coming from every where, vibrating inside us with every note, drowning into lights and lasers like a sea covering the whole stadium. We were not watching a concert, we were inside some unique experience.
