    Finally, a Master that is worthy of recognition. I am glad to see that at least one of Master's locks with high security pins.

      +Drew Estes Master lock does have a couple of decent products that compare well with other lock brands. Those products, however, don't seem to get much recognition.

      High security? He opened the padlock in 22 seconds.........The best thing to do is when the padlock is closed, you fill it with epoxy glue...

      @@kubotamaniac He's one of the best lock pickers in the world. Don't scoff at those 22 seconds. It's usually much faster.

      @@kubotamaniac Compared to the rest of the master locks and many other locks on this channel, it is something truthfully. While it isnt exactly great, it still is better than some. And as Nicholas Olsan says, he is one of the best pickers, what takes him 22 seconds to do would take other people 45 seconds to a minute or more depending on skill level.

      @@kubotamaniac It's definitely a really good high security lock considering the price, especially since you can change the core.

    I was expecting Master Lock to be infamously humiliated again by the Lock Picking Lawyer. You skills picking locks are always amazing to me. The thing I like most about your videos is how concise and detailed the information you relay always is. I feel there are no questions unanswered unless I personally miss something you said. Even if you an pick a lock in under a minute, it could literally be one of the best locks out on the market. LOL.
    I have a growing collection of quality locks that I've been rekeying--I hand file my own Shchlage SC1 and SC4 keys now and use my inventory of Schlage key pins, springs and security driver pins. I use my Dremel and Dewalt corded hand drill as makeshift lathes, along with a vast array of chainsaw sharpening files, jewelry files, hacksaw blades and 3/32" brass rod to make my own pins for the Master Locks with removable cores.
    Anyhow, I always appreciate your uploads. It cheers me up and I needed a mental break today after receiving some terrible news.

    Hi There !
    I've just brought one today 🔒 ! Same exterior look, on the package, the number is "6327D", brought in france. BUT....! Some Differences :
    The screw to get the core out is a Phillips screw, and the lock core looks the same but they're really 6 pins in it.
    All the Key Pins are standart, Then all spools on 1 to 6 except a serrated pin on n°5. No special "anti-bumping" elements at all.
    Cordially,
    MM

    Received the pro 6327 as a gift and started using it to chain my bicycle when having the kryptonite on the other bike.
    Just felt pretty secure with the bulky and heavy body and shackle guard.
    Have been dropping it and bouncing around and the body, core and mechanism still working spotlessly.
    ... that with a good chain makes the backpack harder to cycling around, but takes the worries away when parking.

    Nice picking as always!😊 It is damn hard to find the right tension at these pro series...Sometimes you have to tension so little that you do not notice when it is already open because the core has such a strong spring tension!

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Lockpicking Nord Hmm... I never had much trouble tensioning the ProSeries locks. I just used heavy tension until I went into a false set, and then lightened up to set the spools.

    LPL would you recommend this or something different as a lock to put on a metal shipping container to protect 2 motorcycles? I have someone who has been scoping the shipping container that I keep my motorcycles in and I just have some regular locks on it and I don't trust them so currently I back my truck all the way up to the doors but that only works while I'm home. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thank you

    I have never picked a lock in my life, and I picked my masterlock with a small flat head and Bobby pin within 3 minutes! Tried my brinks discus next and picked it within 5 seconds! So with a real pick, imagine how fast a criminal can pick a lock! Takes little skill to be successful! I prefer abus locks with the abus plus core! Not pick proof but definitely takes a skilled professional to pick!

    I have always stocked all 3 body sizes of these lock 6321 6325 and 6327. Here, they leave the shop pinned to all 6 chambers, with American serrated bottom pins. There is also the Model 6627, a version of the 6327 that accepts a key in knob type cylinder, allowing it to be tied into a building's key system, or for cylinders like ASSA MAX, Medeco as well as more common commercial keys. www.masterlock.com/business-use/product/6727

    could the 5th pin thats slightly serrated be an unfinished spool pin that snuck through? the cuts look to be in the right position. thanks for dvd.

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, that's a standard ML pin. You can't have all spools, or it would hamper key insertion and removal.

    • @andrewclough660
      @andrewclough660 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      it hampers key insertion etc in that lock only? I have just received a Lockwood Assa Abloy 356S63 6 pin padlock that contains 6 spools and the key works beautifully. If it didn't cost so much and the postage was reasonable I would send it to you to pick, it's a gorgeous lock, way beyond my capabilities so far. i have removed one set of pins to give me a chance. The head of Australia Post is Paid approx 6.5 million dollars a year and i refuse to donate more to him. heh heh

    I'm happy to see Master Lock is actually taking itself more seriously.
    Master Lock's catalog has a Medeco core driver for this and other pro series locks. Replacing the core with with any Medeco should make it quite formidable. Or just buy one of the Medeco 54 series padlocks. It looks like exactly the same body, except the casting line on the shroud has been ground off.

      The pro series locks are comparable with locks from other companies with better reputations. It's some of the low end garbage that gives Master a bad name.

      @@lockpickinglawyer That assessment is accurate. We live in a marketplace where one should NEVER purchase by BRAND NAME... Products have to stand on their own shackle legs. This carries over the the AVE tools channel, where power tools disappoint regularly...... with some remarkable exceptions.

      Yes there is, I bought one in a blister pack advertised as 6 pin,obviously it only had 5 so I complained to masterlock.
      I was surprised to hear back from them,even more surprised when they sent me a 6 pin version and a load of bungee cords free of charge.
      I pinned the 6th chamber off the tip of the 5 pin key,now I have two six pin locks for £20.

    What the logic in only pinning 5 out of the 6 possible pins? Is it really worth it to Master Lock to save the extra 10 or 20 cents? Can someone explain this to me?

    • @fionathegayesttiefling9867
      @fionathegayesttiefling9867 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you're producing things in bulk 10 to 20 cents adds up. Master sells to people who don't know locks, people who could care less about the number of pins. Even if they looked around, 5 pin is pretty normal so you wouldn't think it strange
