I've had other lawn care companies call me pretending to be potential customers just to see what they charge so they can out bid me for accounts. i was wise to them and told them (and this is true) i can't give an accurate quote without seeing the lawn first as everyone is different (size, complexity, height of grass, type of grass, etc).

I did low price for the first 6 months to get some customers and experience before I raised my pricing.

I raised it on some customers. On the ones that got it raised, I gave them a months heads-up. After a another 6 months. I only charged new customers a higher new price.
