Alex Pereira is a scary mofo 🗿 🇧🇷
Indeed
Sean was rolling for a leg! Early stop! Alex got lucky! 😂 Herzog sold out to call it on the first knockdown. There was no unconsciousness ye, call it a Dana White Privilege stoppage ye.
so does jiri. but jiri is careless with his striking i think he might get KO.
Good breakdown DJ! I noticed that your instagram link is old in the description of your channel
💯
Alex clocking Sean twice on his way down after knocking him out is crazy precision
Dude had 66% in the 1st…70% in the 2nd…and 83% accuracy in the 3rd round against Jan…which makes it 81% overall…that stat is fucking nuts considering the kind of power he operates with…dude is a sniper
@@donchi1234glory double champ for a reason… poatan is real and I’m glad we are finally here to discuss it because the man isn’t human
Straight up dude, that was the moment I realised just how vicious this man's striking was... A pleasure to watch fight
@@donchi1234 That's a 73% accuracy if you're using the mean
@@fyelow9123it has to be a weighted mean and you dont know what youre saying
Sean lost to Alex because he knew how funny beating Izzy would be after.
@@bugo1107 😆 That's for sure the equivalent to when us Brits use "🔔🔚"
@@bugo1107quiet dork
True fanboy logic
Alex lost to izzy because he knew how funny sean beating izzy would be after
Don't forget training with Alex after he knocked him out lol
I remember when Alex came to the ufc and everyone tried telling me that he was just a power striker. Glad people woke up. Dudes one of the best strikers in combat sports.
Nah ong my dad was hyping him up when he was in LFA then he made it to ufc so proud
@@yurimedeiros5317lfa?
“Just a power striker” does not win you Glory gold. You have to be able to connect to knock people out, and the best of the best in the kickboxing world has fallen to Poatan. Deceptively methodical and sneaky striker, his only problem is because he keeps his hands low to conceal his strikes, he does get hit a lot. He just happens to be gifted with insane durability as well, if you watch him in Glory you will see, the guy is inhumanly durable.
That’s weird cos even someone as mainstream as Joe Rogan was talking about how technical Alex is
Its not like everyone didn't know he beat izzy twice and was undefeated in the UFC but yeah way to make yourself sound like you aren't a casual. UFC fans are the most fickle creatures always wanted to comment about how they predicted things and was rooting for the underdog before he became mainstream. Its not like he wasn't a world class GLORY kick boxer before his first UFC fight LOL
This win has aged so well for Alex
Can we give Sean credit for being the only person in the UFC to willingly take on the challenge of Pereira
Sean sure needs to be applauded for that.
Still got beat comfortably.
izzy did too he could've let him fight more beforz getting a shot
Izzy fought Alex twice after being beaten by him, lost at the end of a close 5 round fight. Then takes on the challenge AGAIN and knocks him out in the pocket.
But we need to give Sean credit for getting ktfo in the first round...
Sean beat izzy with a brilliant performance over 5 rounds. Give him credit for that, no need to suck him off for losing in the first round.

hahah thats why you come to the mighty breakdown content 😊
Relax bro ur overthinking the fight too much sometimes. I don’t even think some of the fighters know what they’re doing in their but u just break it down anyway

I could cry man, Mighty Mouse you’ll always be the peoples champ. Everything you share is a joy and pushes the sport forward, really appreciate your humbled dominance in and out of rings/cages/etc. forever blessing the fight game

Great work DJ. I love your breakdowns. The honor of having your knowledge out here for us to learn from is a big deal. We appreciate it Brother. 🐐❤️🇺🇲
Videos like these make me appreciate fights so much more
I don’t think people talk to much how he hit Sean 2 times on his way down super impressive fan of both Sean and Alex but damn no way in hell can we not put Alex in top 5 best boxer/kickboxers to exist in ufc history
He is one of the top 3 greatest kickboxers of all time.. Badr Hari, Artem Levin, Alex
@@cricketcavalry1824 100% agree
@@cricketcavalry1824 How about chingiz?? There's lots of lower weigth asian kickboxers that definitly are contender.
Alex really fights like a hunter
I really love the breakdown of technique and strategy.

I have SO been waiting for DJ’s breakdown.
Got more coming playboi
@@Mighty15x Can’t wait for Adesanya v Strickland. That was a defensive masterclass. Thanks again!
Those 2 right hands he landed as Sean was falling is nuts. All within 2 secs

Great video. Are we getting a Jiri analisis too?
Great video!
DJ it would be interesting to know what has worked best for you as the smaller fighter throughout your career, what movements, tactics etc you employ during fights?
Good shit dude
Your one of my favourite fighters keep up the good work
Will do me and the team got alot more coming 😊
Nice bro
If DJ becomes a coach after retiring he will be an amazing coach
Your wide skillset surely makes you one of the best fight analyzers
really good analysis, I didn't notice alex wasn't against the cage at all in this fight
The power of Periera will make fighters back up look at his fights with Strickland and Izzy
two future champs and training partners duking it out
I send these to my casual friends so they can understand mma better but for a long time fan like me, it feels like chattin abt fights with the champ😮💨🤝
beautiful breakdown from best mma champion of all time, i love these insights. This is what real fight analysis looks like.
Good breakdown
Whoever's learned to guard their face the best wins, both guys need their hands up for this one.
A tip might be to show some of the prefight footage while you do the intro to the video so we have something to watch. Dunno how that would work with copyright tho.
Can you do a Muay Thai clinch technical break down
He setup him up the whole time with that constant jab to the chest. Throws the left hook from the same line
Again mighty mouse is blessing us with a top notch fight breakdown. I am here for it. I am really enjoying these breakdowns. And i hope you get to 1M subs fast.
It's all thanks to you guys!
Great vid DJ
Pereira's set up for that hook was all the rear right leg kicks he had been throwing while circling. Strickland saw Pereira load for a strike while circling and he guarded for the kick he had been conditioned for. Pereira instead threw that wide left hook, and connected on the button. Great execution, but the set up deserves to be noted too.
He actually himself said that it was the jab to the chest that made this left hook possible, you can clearly see sean trying to parry a jab to the chest when he gets knocked down
Could you break down the Yan vs. O’malley fight? I know it’s not relevant right now but I would like to see the breakdown and your opinion.
How do you see the Alex vs jiri fight going sir
I feel like trying to predict your opponents next move is inferior to READING your opponents next move. Similar to baseball, the batter that reads the pitchers hand release and sees the spin of the ball, the angle of the elbow, etc has a better change of success than the batter who tries to guess what the next pitch is. I loved pitching against people like that. They would PREDICT the curveball was coming, and I would throw a slow fastball head high. The batters who trained their eyes and reflexes were the real challenges.
We need longer breakdownsssss😅
Hello mighty mouse
Love from India 😃❤️
Can we get Jiri vs Alex last minute breakdown.
Great content bruh
Great breakdown champ! I have been talking about Alex's footwork for a long time. Also he has really underrated striking defense that is very unorthodox even tho he fights with his hand low. He has incredible accuracy and a very sneaky switch kick. I am calling it.... Alex pereira by headkick ko/tko. I thik he will set up his finish the same way he did in his fight in glory against Jason Wilnes
im putting 5 dollars on that u sound experienced
After their. .1st fight... then Crazy sean. Acceps Alex to Practice with.... and Bam!! Sean Grew from Learning with. Alex P. And Francis. Crazy Sean!!
bro got me waiting for 12 hours to listen to this breakdown 😭
😂😂😂
You should release an MMA clinch instructional
hey mighty, got a question: why is alex circling into seans power side and not away from it?
DDP needs to watch this breakdown!
You and Henry should do a video a piece on each-others channel doing a breakdown
So you're saying I can watch the entire fight for free if Mighty Mouse is commenting? Best deal ever.
One of his best strengths is range management. Nobody talks about it. Takes small steps to always be ready for a counter. Too many guys waste movement & move back too far & have no chance for a counter
Mighty Mouse does some good breakdowns
Alex beat Sean but he did not beat Desean Strickland.
@8:42 Mighty Mouse at the announcer booth lol
People criticize Sean for having his hands low but he was checking kicks with his arm so it’s not like they were there for no reason
Also landed a 1-2 that caught Sean’s attention. He thought he was only a left hook power guy
I want to get into MMA, but don't know what martial art to start with. I have done different martial arts as a lil kid, Muay Thai, and BJJ but never comitted to them, and am stuck between picking something like boxing, or BJJ. Any tips?
if you want to do mma do both, if you want to box then box.
Do strickland izzy fight breakdown next
Pereira is insanely big for middleweight, he basically looks like a super lean heavyweight which id imagine he's at least a light heavy weight that keeps himself lean enough to make middle weight. Izzy is a pretty big guy himself and he even looks small next to Alex.
The size made all the difference in this one literally the first punch that landed clean put sean on the matt. Alex looks fkn massive here
Great video. Second time in the channel.
Sean S has got better at checking low kicks but if you're honest, you know he's still really vulnerable against a good low kicker.
i love you dj.
Now we want to see Sean vs Izzy
It's kinda interesting to see Sean and Alex body posture at the very end with the ref holding their wrists waiting for the announcement. Sean looks like a school boy who just got told off haha and Alex looks like a fox in a chicken coop
Jiri has a 95% finish rate right? Who do you think is going to win MM? Jiri vs Poatan.
Casual
your breakdowns are the most on point of any of the fighter breakdowns out there. thank you for sharing these nuggets of knowledge with us mortals 😗🤌
Ur welcome appreciate you coming by and showing support to the channel 😊🙏🏾
Still think Alex leaves his left hand low too much, he seems to eat a lot of right hands.
Sean backed up after he felt the power
Mighty goat 🐭
This is why you have more Subscribers than Henry😅
Please break down Jiri vs Glover 🙏
Wow, this dude is very knowledgable on MMA. He should be an MMA fighter or something.
The McGregor accent at 1:47 😂
This should be a very good fight. I think Alex is going to get it done but you never know
We understand what you mean by void, SheeZ.
Who would you say is the best striker in mma champ?
I feel like Sean leveled up after training with Alex before the Izzy fight
Izzy should’ve watched this video
Took me three minutes into the video to figure out who "Uridi" is.
Sean's chin was also up because I think he realized the shot was coming too late. If his chin was tucked he might have weathered it better.
Yo mighty you should react to a Kieth Lee fight, hes pretty relevant right now
How the heck this vud only has 72 likes
"Yurdi"😂
2:33 What's an inside 9 and a 10?
rotating works well against D'Sean, who just throws basic stuff down the pipe. Jiri loves those angles, and is good at setting thing up in the moment based on movement. he doesn't follow predictable patterns and throws long combos with heat on everything, this is an absolute nightmare or Alex
He still got caught
DJ, how do you think Jonathan Haggerty could do in MMA? Reckon he has a chance of beating Andrade?
It’s definitely gonna be difficult for haggerty just cos mma striking is different to Thai/k1 but definitely a interesting fight
@@christophermorrison2626 for sure. I think he'd need to learn one hell of a sprawl! We've seen fighters with no ground game do well - win championships even - if they can avoid the take down. Imagine winning titles in 3 sports though...
@@fcboomstick yeah definitely the grappling side but I’d also argue the striking side of mma he might struggle in aswell purely based on the fact andrades been doing and training mma longer than haggerty and also the differences in mma striking such as the distance , stance , footwork , head movement , and in mma striking teeps knees and roundhouse kicks are used a lot less in mma striking and is generally more boxing focused, however haggerty is great at stance switching and he is used to the 4oz gloves which are a must for mma. So interms of mma striking Andrade has the upper hand but if haggerty could outstrike Andrade in mma it will showcase just how good of a martial artist haggerty is.
@@christophermorrison2626 in my head I'm thinking of how seemlessly Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya switched over to MMA from kickboxing. But I wonder if Haggerty might even have a slight advantage over them or a points karateka (like MVP or Wonderboy) in that he's got that clinch work with 8 limbs, trips and a even a few throws in the bank! For sure Andrade would rightly start as heavy favourite though, for all the reasons you stated. Cue cutscene of DJ's destruction of Rodtang 😂
@@christophermorrison2626 also, Haggerty vs O'Malley - I'd definitely watch that. And they're both bantamweights. Just sayin' 👀
