Another hint for removing tape, which I teach my youngest students especially, is to heat the tape a little with a hairdryer beforehand. It helps soften the adhesive so that it doesn’t pull at the paper as much.
Great tip! Thank you Kellie 👌💕
Does a heat gun work to loosen tape and dry between layers?
@@andreamartin1957 hi! Yes it would definitely loosen tape. I can only assume it would dry between layers
@@kelliegrant18 and, I have a hint for you. If you dab the strip of tape on what you're wearing a few times, the tape picks up enough lint to keep it tacky enough to use but still comes off the paper without tearing it. Did that make sense?😋
@@andreamartin1957 Absolutely, thank you! I had heard this before but never tried it. I shall do 😊🙏
I find all your tips very helpful. But what is most helpful is your language and how you articulate the process. Your explanations are clear and concise. Thank you for all your hard work and your consideration of the art.
Very useful tips, thanks for sharing❤
LOL... if you think you have too many reds... you haven't seen my collection. I also find ways to support my art supply addiction, but my husband isn't buying it! Also, you are so right about using whatever white porcelain item you can find. I found some porcelain soap dishes that I love using.
😄 I too 💯 approve and support your growing collection, especially the reds 🩷
Your colours make my heart sing. They are always so light and transparent but still pack a big colour payout.
Your videos are entrancing. You have a very soothing voice on top of just amazing artwork. They are therapeutic. 😊
If I could like this multiple times, I would! ❤
Thank you so much Anna for sharing this useful information with us. I really appreciate watching your progress and the beautiful images you create.
Your artwork is amazing.
Having all your favorite accessories in one video was very helpful. Earlier this year I was looking to purchase an instrument to apply masking fluid. I forgot about the rubber tipped applicator you use and I purchased the two-pronged instrument that opens and closes using the twistable circular disc/knob (hope I’m making sense). Now I’ve watched your video you reminded me of the rubber tipped implement and how useful it is for small areas! Oh well never mind 😅. Thank you for sharing!
I've never thought about using pen/cable clips like that. Brilliant! My brushes are always rolling around everywhere.
😊💕💕💕
Wonderful ❤❤
This is such a great and useful video!!! Love watching your choice of colors. Absolutely stunning 😍 ✨️ 👌 💖
Thank you for share with us 😮😊
These are some great insights into the helpful accesories used by such a wonderful illustrative artist. I'm just a hobby watercolour painter of barely 4 years experience, but I always find your videos inspiring and helpful.
I have always admired and appreciated your beautiful work, also all the wonderful ideas I have seen you use. Thank you for this video giving us an insight into ALL Your favorite items, how to use them and why. As always, thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us!!. ❤
Awesome advice. You have a new subscriber.😊🤦🏻♀️
You are the best! I would love to paint like you do!
Those brush holders are absurdly expensive. Wow You always do such beautiful work.
I have a 10cm wide 5-brush-rest from Studio of M.M. that I very much like.. I use plastic palettes because they are easily cleaned with an eraser. I really like the finger glove you have - very useful! and I agree about the tape.
Oh!!!! I’ve never thought of cleaning them with an eraser - will definitely try it on my travel Daniel smith set with a lid palette 💕 Thank you so much for the tip!
Love your painting style and enjoy watching your videos. Love your instructional manner and calm, sweet voice.
Thank you, I'd also recommend reusable bamboo paper towels, they just have a lovely absorbent and soft texture and are great for blotting or drying your brushes. When mine get dirty, I put them in a little bin until I have enough for a quick wash (separate from other fabrics) with a little dish soap or castille soap on a cold wash cycle. Then I air-dry them and reuse them. They last for multiple washes if you don't use any bleach (whoops, did that once and they sort of disintegrated).
Oooohhh this is interesting! I’ve been frustrated with my paper towels and I think I really need this. Can I find them on Amazon? 😊💕
I have always cleaned my brushes with warm water and non toxic soap. Rinse and I keep a bar of glycerin soap and lavender essential oil. Which helps keep moths from eating your brushes. Of course you don't want moths in the house. I just have always cleaned my brushes this way. Thanks for all the useful information.❤
Thank you for the supply list: I use most of them. But I will check into a few of the others. I really enjoy your tutorials. Granted my skill level is in the "amateur range" - you are both talented and skilled. Your voice is also soothing when explaining the techniques. My artwork has improved because you have me trying new techniques, especially wet-on-wet applications. Again, Thank you.
I am a hobby water colourist but, i do use most of what you recommend. For the palette i use a ceramic egg tray, so inexpensive. And for the brush holder i fashioned one from sturdy carboard with v notches to hold them in place. In place of oxgall i use glycerine. However i do not use cheap paper ,arches blocks for me.
Thanks so much, Anna!
I am so appreciative of your products, wisdom and techniques! 🌹😢
Nice 👌
Love love love your work. Colors are always vibrant!❤
Thank you ever so much. This is all new to me and stuff that the general teachers don't talk about. Have a great day.
Glad it was helpful!😊💕💕💕
Thanks for this , Anna. That brush soap is new to me but looks wonderful.
Thank you 🙏 love your art and tutorials 💖
I appreciate your effort in explaining the accessories in detail. This video will be saved forever. Thanks a lot.
So glad you enjoyed it! 💕💕💕
Amazing!
Thanks!💕💕💕
Thank you for showing it's a big help for me even and although I like painting with acrylic....regards from South Africa
Thank you William! I work with acrylics a bit as well and yeah lots of these are applicable (including the soap which I use right after using acrylics) 😊💕
All of your best accessories are really good and useful ones.
Thanks for sharing them with us.
Anna, thank you for this wonderful video. You covered a lot, in a short span of time. It was great. Also, I need to say that I do not tire of watching your videos. You are truly Blessed by The Creator. What a gift to be able to watch you paint! My beginning in art was abstract drawings. I began with bright white paper and intensely black ink. As I began to heal, via art, I started to feel inspired to use color pencils, glitter gel pens, etc. Now I want to learn the art of water color, and you are truly an accomplished water color artist. One of the things, or qualities about you, that stands out for me, is how down-to-earth and modest you seem. I find that quality so beautiful in anyone, but most especially when an individual is so gifted, and yet there is no pretense to their demeanor. You are truly beautiful: within to without.
I live in the U.S., but would love to take a vacation and visit Canada. Do you teach at any school, local center, etc. It would be such a treat to be able to attend one of your classes in person.
I'm not going to be traveling any time soon (not unless of course, I win the lottery), but please let me know if you do hold classes in person, and if you have a schedule. Please let me know, at your leisure, of course. Thank you!
Thank you for reminding me tp clean my brushes! I have the soap, but forget to use it. I'll do that before my next portrait!
Beautiful awesome work❤💟❤💛❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💞❤💞❤💜❤💞❤💞❤💞❤💞❤
Thank you for these ideas.
Браво, Анна! Как все у вас гармонично получается в работах, столько идей. Построение композиции великолепно! Наслаждаюсь вашим творчеством!
Спасибо большое 😊💕
Thanks for the brush cleaning info.
Hi Anna. I paint with oil paint and I would like to try watercolour. Thank you for your help I will try these supplies out. I am going to subscribe to your channel.
Great supplies. I haven’t heard anyone else share these so super thank you!
Thank you for watching! 💕😊
Can you or do you have a video about brushes? I LOVE your art, fantastic.
Thank you! 💖🖌️✨
Masking fluid pens/markers are wonderful, you ought to try them.
Thanks
Wonderful information! Thank you!
Love the way you create the shadows. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much 😊💕
Thank you so much! I’ve watched many watercolor videos on TH-cam and never seen anyone suggest the rubber tipped applicator for masking fluid. Just placed my order 😊
Your art is my perfect type which I would have loved to have studied. I love it
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for sharing very useful tips !!!
Yo sólo entro para darte mi like 🥰

THANKYOU SO MUCH‼️
- These were some of the WC items I wanted, but did not know the brands to purchase.
Thank you, Anna! 🙏
🎨💕😊
Thank you 🙏
It's very importent.thank you
Thanks a lot for sharing all this with us. Do you plan to do a "top 10 brushes" that you would recommend? I see that you use a lot of Escoda brushes in different models and for a beginner it's a bit difficult to make the difference between all of them 🙏
I've learned so much from you, thanks Anna!
Thank you Sarah! 😊💕
Love your art work❤️
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for sharing. What is that grey, flat hedgehog thing you wiped the eraser crumbs with? All your videos are well done and keep the viewers interest. Is there anything you're not good at? 😊❤
Ahhh that’s an old dish cloth from a dollar store 🙂 I didn’t think it deserved its own spot on the list but I see now I should have mentioned it!!! Thank you 🥰 I feel like I am getting a hang of this editing thing but I suck at audio!!! Been trying so many mic’s and set ups over the past 3 years but I don’t quite understand how to process audio well yet, so watching TH-cam tutorials on different set ups etc I really want the watching experience to be as enjoyable as possible 💕💕💕💕💕 have an amazing week ahead! I am going to finish painting my chipmunk now 🐿️😊
You know more about audio than the rest of us 😊 (The autumn palette is such a nice change ! ) ❤
Do you have the rooster painting on video? I’d love a tutorial on it! Love your art!
Thank you! 💕 This is an old one - painted before I even owned a proper camera 😊
Thank you for all your suggestions. I do appreciate your help and enjoy your tutorials. However I think Brush holders are very expensive and cost less else where.
Brand new subie here, and I have to tell you how wonderful your work is! Gosh I could stare at you painting all day! Also what fabulous recommendations! Most are new to me, and I will be trying out. Thanks so much for a quality video💚
I'm definitely trying that Synthetic Ox Gall. Thank you so much! So many wonderful tips and ideas! 🙏☺️
Enjoy 💕💕💕
Thank you for sharing! I'm going to be ordering some new art supplies!

This info is fantastic! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! 💕😊
I loved this video. Many of these tips I already use, but didn't know about the soap for cleaning the brushes. Thank you so much for these tips.
Thank you 😊💕
Love this, however I kept jumping back and forward to look at the products. Thank you. Gorgeous painting as well
Thank you Carol 😊💕
Super usefull! Thanks for the advises, GREAT work!
Thank you 💕😊
Thank you for this information. Your work is striking.
Thank you Monica! 😊💕
Hi Anna, thank you so much for your detailed tutorials and videos. I can tell you put a lot of love and knowledge into them. Something that I am struggling with is how to “see” layers of color to build (ex: your layering video of the climbing rose). While you painted orange, blue, coral, red, and yellow, I only saw light and dark red areas. Do you think you could make a video on how to “see” the layers of color in botanicals to make them look more alive? Thank you so much and I am so happy to find your channel 💕❤️💕
Thank you Anna. Would you mind sharing information on the wooden stand holding your color samples upright? I’ve created color samples but struggle organizing them so I can find them when needed! Again, thank you❤
Ahhh yes! I should have included this one 👌 it’s a wooden card holder - like for bridge or poker ♣️ you can find lots of them on Amazon 😊
@@AnnaBucciarelli Thank you so very much! 🥰. Any chance you have a tutorial on a yellow rose flower? I started with a base of Hansa yellow light, leaving lots of white paper, and it looked lovely, but soon as I added Hansa med or deep in deeper layers of the rose, I knew right away It was wrong and it changed the lovely flower into an ugly duckling! 🤭
I followed the yellow tulip tutorial but It didn’t seem to carry over to the rose. can’t find the search option on patreon, so any help is appreciated. Thanks a bunch! ❤
Helpful and your artwork is beautiful!
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for your tips, much appreciated… it’s good to know there are many things to help me on my journey through watercolor! You are very talented. 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
Thank you Mia 💕

Thank you so much 😀
Very Beautiful paintings with beautiful explanation ❤
Thank you so much 😀
I have found a couple of things I'd like to buy. Thanks! 😊
Enjoy! 😊💕
Thank you Anna for sharing this information. Helene
Thank you Helene!
❤❤❤❣
As always, thanks ever so much for sharing your talents with us. I did have a question about the hardness of pencils that you preferred. It was my understanding that one should use a softer pencil for watercolor paper, as a harder lead can indent the paper, leaving a permanent mark. Do you draw with very light pressure? I realize a very soft lead can smear, so I use an HB.
Great question - I should have been more clear on this point 👌 I use 2 or 3 H but very very lightly. My goal is to just barely see the outline so that if it’s covered by darker hues I don’t even need to erase at all 😊 thank you!
Love the Device!💜👍
Advice
Thank you Andrea!
The thrift store is a good source for porcelain ware.
Very nice mam ❤
I heat the tape with a hairdryer to melt the glue and avoid damaging the paper
Interesting! I don’t know about this trick 😊 thank you!
You are very talented and really love your work. I am new to wanting to try watercolour painting for the 1st time. I have been watching your videos to learn before I start. You have given me the confidence to give it a go, as you explain everything so well. I have just finished drawing the Agapanthus flower on canvas, so I am now ready to start the painting.
I need to buy my bushes and paints and all the things you are using etc.. But as I am new to this, I have no idea what the best watercolour paint to buy and the best type of bushes etc.. do you have a list of accessories you recommend, please?
Some very useful accessories there Anna. I had never heard of brush soap!
On the question of rubbing out lines, do you rub them out after applying paint?
I love your beautiful style!! Anna, do you offer watercolor classes/retreats? I would love to learn from you in person. Thanks so much for you tutorials. Love your botanical paintings!
Thank you so much!!! No in person classes at the moment (kids are too young so my schedule is a bit unpredictable) but I know there is interest and I’ve been talking to Toronto Botanical Gardens team in particular about potential workshops 😊 maybe next summer - I will keep you and everyone posted!
Do you apply or spray anything on your watercolour artwork after its done to protect it or prevent future accidents maybe water splashes?
Nice ❤❤
