Great video! I just installed my FITCAMX on my 2020 Sierra 2500HD Denali. I couldn't believe how simple it was and the video quality is really good. Literally took about 10 minutes. Thanks for the review.
I just installed my camera in a chevy 2024 3500hd and yes the hardest part is putting the new one on. I ordered it on February 1st and received it February 9th. The customer help to get the right one was great through emails. The only thing I wish it did was to be able to zoom in and out on the picture.
I live in Germany and ordered my FITCAMX for my 2023 Hyundai Tucson NLine from Amazon. Delivery took only 7 days. I installed it today within 10 minutes without any problems. I also ordered the matching polarising lens, which is simply stuck over the camera lens using the 3M adhesive tape already attached to the lens. This prevents the dashboard from reflecting and is also very good when driving against the sun to avoid glare. I love the OEM look.
I don’t see anything for the ‘23+ SuperDuty yet. I like how this mounts much better than the suction cup options out there that get knocked around when installing and removing a front window cover.
Looks like a nice a nice product, clean looking blends right in like factory. Would you happen to know can you turn the audio or video on via the app when the vehicle is off like when the vehicle goes in for service or if you are away can check live video? I like your videos just subscribed..
Thank you, yes you can toggle audio on/off via app settings, which connects via WiFi. So as long as your phone is in WiFi range...maybe 50-100ft? ...then you can adjust settings and see live video.
The camera is great the rest of the system could use some work. Connecting to the camera requires turning off your cellular service. Then the WiFi transfer speed to the phone is really slow, you may need to change recording intervals to 1 minute to speed up transfer. The timestamp format cannot be changed on the recording from 24 hour to 12 hour format. Exposure compensation only works on the front camera, not the rear camera. Hopefully the timestamp can be changed in the near future. I understand the camera was originally not intended for North America, but since they are selling the product here should be an option to change this.
Great point. I find just pulling the memory card is faster given size of files. I have actually used some of the dash cam footage in this video here: th-cam.com/video/qVVJkoaVkK0/w-d-xo.html
Basically it's recording anytime truck is running by default. Depending on the memory card size used, it'll keep recording me footage till it runs out of space and then it'll overwrite the oldest footage first. So if there's a car crash it'll automatically have been recording everything prior, just like normal. You can then remove the memory card and transfer to a computer or phone just like a digital camera...store/save the file for safe keeping. So as long as you keep a memory card in the camera it'll always be recording automatically when truck is on.
Great video. Do you know if the provided harness works with a rear view camera/ mirror? The one where the mirror becomes a display? 2025 Sierra 3500. Thanks!

Great question, I just checked on mine...it came with a standard 64GB microSD card. Of course you can upgrade the microSD card if you wish, but the videos record in MP4 compressed format and so far after about 3 weeks of use I think I'll fit about 8-9 hours of non-stop 2560x1440 video before it starts writing over the oldest files on the 64GB card. It seems like mine uses about 110MB per minute of video recorded (since it is compressed the video files can vary in size).
And I'll check on the availability...I see what you mean about just the Yukon. It could be that it is so new they are still working on adding to their website and cataloging which vehicles are compatible.

Do you know if it will fit a 2020 gmc sle hd? These trucks are all basically the same starting in 2020, but your link only indicates fitment for 22-×=.
Can you record with vehicle off during a traffic stop
Great question. I'm pretty sure you need to leave in accessory position so it gets power.
Will it fit on a 2019 sierra 1500
Unfortunately I don't think so, but double check me if your current mirror looks anything like the three variants at link below:

So, does this cam work without a smart phone?
Yes, it runs by itself. The smartphone connectivity is just for setting up our changing settings on camera. I haven't connected my phone since recording this video 6 months ago. And the camera just automatically records to the memory card each time truck is on.
@@AdventureRocks Very good! Thanks so much for the reply!
Does this impede the rain sensor at all?
@@1halfempty I don't have rain sensitive wipers on mine, but it sits under the sensors so I wouldn't think so.
