#diesineveryfilm #axe #experiment - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
This was pretty effective but who wants to see more axes like this?
I wanna! 👊
I'd be game for seeing more. Plus would like to see you fill it with lead or tungsten shot.
You know you wanna make another knife 😂
I damn sure do! This one seemed to EASILY split wood!
Double bearded Newton’s cradle battle axe. You don’t have to, but you’ve made me think
You really wrote "axe experiment" rather than "axperiment"?!
🗿
Based. Your pulitzer will be mailed.
Pun on the money.
@@chrisfrancis2220 relaxe, you dont have to split ur noggin for this loggin video bro.
You sound like quite an axpert on the matter. You must be speaking from axperience.
Pretty amazing how someone suffering from tourettes could still make such nice work!
😂😂😂
Is that the explanation. I told my wife it was just his shtick.
@@synicyst9925 no it’s not, it’s a joke. I think?
Tell you what, if I didn't act like a nutter in my day to day, I'd probably lose my mind. Well.. too late, but I'd lose more of my mind. So there I go, acting like a nutter.
I wouldn’t say suffering I would say coping
The leg kick/swing was awesome!! 🤣🤣🤣
I got lucky on that wasn’t even expecting it to hit
this is Axe-ually a very good build.
🤣
Nice
Jesus the good sovereign God loves you my friends : ) have an amazing day
This guy has such an interesting style of presentation. I like it.
It's videos like these that remind me of my father and one of the things he said so often to me "Son, you ain't right in the head, and I'm not sure who I'm worried more for, you, or the world!" did your dad say the same to you? And yes, oh yes please yes to more axes! I find them most impactful and never dull.
That is quite possibly one of the best timed ticks I've ever seen, it enhances almost every sentence
So, a dead-blow axe. Dead-blow hammers have long been a thing, but this looks like a first. Clever.
Deadblow hammers are designed to not damage the things that they are striking, are made of rubber or plastic, and are filled with shot. This is pretty much the opposite of that.
@@fomomofo6917 Yeahhh... I've been using dead-blow hammers for 30 years almost daily, I Currently have three Lixies. In a hammer, the principle is to amplify the 《blow》 as the shot or sand delivers an inertial hit, and also to 《deaden》 any dangerous rebound.
This axe operates on the same first principle of amplifying the strike with the inertial load. So yeah, it works basically the same way.
I work with blocks of steel weighing thousands of kgs, and I can move them on my machine table with my 2" or 3" Lixie. The non-marring property of the urethane tips is a non-issue to me. But do go on. 🙄
I don't have much need for an Ax (most of the birch trees in my yard have turned to pulp before falling) but this is still kinda neat, would be interesting to try out
Add a spring in the tube to spring load them while you swing the axe...just an idea 💡
How would he push the balls back against the spring? It doesnt work with momentum if the balls arent free floating
@clydecraft5642 when you swing the axe it would push the ball aginst the spring. The power of G force...
Faster swinging.
@@clydecraft5642 when you add the spring it would become more a of a kinetic blow, if the tube was clear and you slammed it ball side down you would see it bounce back against the spring then the spring would force them down creating a secondary blow.
I collect (and use) axes. I've seen a lot of creative designs over the years but this is a unique one. I know there have been plenty of hatchets designed with a "full tang" handle but this has to be the first full sized axe I've seen with one. (I'm not counting Estwings 3/4 axe) I know that if you're swinging it all day It's more comfortable to have a handle that has some flex and shock absorption, but for sheer durability that looks like a winner. I love that your took the time and care to get the handle aligned straight and not lose the blade temper. I see axes on the peg at the store where the manufacturer couldn't be bothered to line up the handle with the bit. I know it probably won't matter with this handle design with the steel taking all the stress but the grain orientation for the slabs will irk an axe purist. Beautiful piece, clever design. I wish I could try it out chopping as well as splitting, see how deep it bites into the side of a log. I've got a Flotaxe in my collection, a hollow bush plane emergency harchet that's designed to be filled with sand/ dirt/ water to provide weight (kind of a deadblow axe) and it does chop, just not quite as well as a traditional hatchet.
A dead-blow axe for Deadpool! LOVE IT!
Brilliant build! After 16 plus years of putting together this axe, it was well worth the time. Not only was it beautiful, but it was effective. Really like this dead blow. Cheers mate 🍻, you deserve a pint or two after 16 years. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for all your hard work on this video. ✌🏼☮️
Dude the funnels on the goggles at 1:53 SENT me 🤣😂😭 I’m subscribing for that alone 🤣🤣😂😭
Safety first
I just subscribed, it only took two videos. I’m in! You are the man, i’m in the US and I’m disabled, but I used to work with Metal like you are and I can live vicariously through you! there’s nothing I can’t do with Metal and I know there’s nothing you can’t do with Metal! hundred percent respect from the United States Sir!! I love your personality! I too am considered a bit silly, crazy, in a good way!
Another great project. I get this stupid grin on my face every time i see a new video.
Awesome
Final product looks great! This was a really nifty idea. Reminds me of some weird stuff I read in a D&D book when I was in high school (third edition or 3.5, which was current at the time): Swords that featured a reservoir of mercury in the pommel that would get drawn into a tube as the weapon was swung, adding impact to the hit. Can't remember what precisely that did in game terms, but I thought the concept was pretty cool... apart from the dangerous monkeying about with mercury, anyhoo.
It added 1d4 extra damage or increased the dice size one level for the weapon. I can't remember which. I was gonna mention this same idea....jed.
I feel that kind of design is better than this axe.
If the weight moves across the haft (or the blade of the sword), it moves the center of mass as you swing, making your weapon easy to accelerate but hard to stop.
With what this guy made, it seems pointless. It would have the same effect if he just welded the balls in place. Perhaps that would be even better, since they would deliver their momentum with the rest of the head, rather than a split second later.
@@frantisekvrana3902 any heavy weapon is like that which is why true battle axes are very thin and warhammers have small heads and a thin spike. Any deflection with a heavy weapon is very hard on the wrists and overall maneuverability.
Great idea. Thank you for making this for us, Onur. Stay safe and stay warm
Read a SY-FY story years ago. The sword in the story was hollow with a mercury silver core. Some referred to it as a living weapon cause it moved when lifted. It was a formidable weapon in the hands of an expert.
Great build! I dig it. 🤘🏻
An absurd idea with a beautiful result. I’m left in awe
Awesome build and effective too! Looks good too! 👍🏼🔧⚙️
I enjoy your gentle transition into using commentary in your videos :D really nice to have insight in your process
I admire you!
I wish we were brothers
First vid of yours I’ve seen, already subscribed. It’s refreshing to have a bit of fun in the mix, so many serious simons out there. The axe is wicked by the way!! Cheers mate!
Thank you i really appreciate it, lots more fun videos to come
I've wanted to make an axe like this for as long as i can remember, but never finalized a design to try. This was a very simple way to do it and gave me a lot to think about for the future. Great work.
Axe builds are great, even better with your spin put on them!
Heck yes dude. 🙌🏻😎 amazing as always
Thanks mate, im sure we can come up with some other stuff as well.
Thanks again for the intro
@@DiesInEveryFilmyou two should do a collaboration/build-off.
Another brilliant build. That's an extremely shafty shaft.
Another excellent piece
I love this so much.
insanely cool!
Loving the explanations Onur 😊
Glad you like them! It’s something i do in all videos now
That's awesome talent you have.
That was fun 🤩
Absolutely😂
What a build. You have way to many tools. Great vid, thanks for sharing.
Really like how the handle turned out
I liked this video "obviously" ❤
Strategic thinking
Good job mister beautifully done
Another great build!
That was very interesting, nice axe by the way thanks for sharing 👍
Nice work as always 💖💖
Crazy creation!! I love it!
Thank you
Unusual thought but excellent execution, as always odd ideas made into amazing functional tools.❤
Thank you very much!
Beautiful axe
Read something online about using this idea for a sword. I imagine forging it around the tube would be an ordeal but it's still a neat idea. Its cool seeing it brought to life in an axe! Thanks for another great video :3
Edit: I just realized you could put the sword edge and point around the tube. Like a sword with the middle of the blade missing. Kind of like a macahuitl but with a continuous steel edge and a point.
That would be so massively thick and heavy it would would be horrible to use as a sword.
@@DH-xw6jp you should look up the historical examples, they aren't as bulky as you're imagining.
Googling "Indian ball bearing sword" gets you one of them. If you go to Google images it's the one with a Chevron striped pattern on the blade.
That is a very fine looking axe, and it appears to be very effective.
Yes definitely
Always enjoy you're content. You're hilarious. I made a mace in a similar fashion using a hollow handle running up between the bladea with sand inside. Lighter to weild because the weight is in the hand, but heavier on the blow as the sand moves to the head. Wish I had your workshop. Your bench is master level😎👍🏻
You have a great presentation and character. Pretty cool idea, I imagine the ball bearings get torn up.
ive never seen a full tang axe before. Pretty cool.
Very cool such wicked axe great work 👍👍
Thank you for watching mate
Yes please mad skills with the kind of mad mind I can relate to yeah anything you come up with I'll watch 👍
Thank you i have a lot of fun ideas coming soon
Onur,
That turned out nice, I bet after some time using it the clanking balls would get annoying! Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video.
Sounds like a spring toy.
Perfect weapon for a horror movie.
Fun to watch. Couldnt tell at first if those were ticks, or your persona or both - either way fun to watch
That thing is wicked effective and looks good 2
Damn. That came out lookin real nice
You honestly made the "boring" parts entertaining, being funny. LOL
Im glad to hear that, thank you very much for watching
@@DiesInEveryFilm you’re welcome
I really enjoyed this video and I learned a lot as well 😅
Perfection
Thanks for the video.
That's a cool idea. I'd love to see a test of whether that really splits wood more effectively. I can see where it should split wood more effectively. In a really fancy version, the balls would be held in place until the end of the swing and then fall forward to drive the ax head further into the wood.
I think putting a couple light weight springs in the tubes to keep the balls rearward at rest would do the job
dope!!!!
You just keep amazing me everytime you make new weapon and i always think how you are gonna invent cooler things
Brilliant finish mate very pretty
It took 16 years to write: this guy is hilarious and that's a beautiful axe. IDK if it works worth a damn but I want one! Full tang quad ball engineering at its finest.
Came for the axe. Subbed for the silliness 😊
Perfect thank you, new video up today
seems pretty effective.
i didnt think it was possible for me to be uncomfortable while i watch a bladed implement being made, but you managed it.
Another beautiful build. I think I have questions about the kinetic abilities, but I'm not sure yet, I just enjoyed watching the process and the testing this time.... LOL
interesting take on that.
though I do think integrating the sliding weight into the handle itself would be more effective.
think of a slide hammer with an axe head.
longer path of travel for weight.
I have lots of different ideas im working on in this line of axes, i liked how this one worked and the weight wasn’t more than usual
bro ur a damn genius fucking pro mastodon artist never tired of your stuff :)
super video.echt lustig und mal wieder toll gemacht.
You my friend are a bit out there, but now days that’s a good thing. If a zombie apocalypse ever happens, want you around making the weapons. Keep it up, love the axes.
You are an absolute nut case your videos are crazy and I loved absolutely every minute of it 😂👍
Glad you enjoyed, new video up Saturday
Great project and very fun to watch 😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice looking job.
Love your work man, really interesting and great quality stuff you're making.have you ever thought about doing anything with stone?
Thanks dude and yes i am planning something
"Newton's axe" is a badass name for a weapon!
I really wanna make one now lol
that one irish guy who does the awesome woodworking is tearing up at that metal core, lol. Awesome build!
@voicesofjake has been doing deadblow axes for months now. Thanks for playing along
This is the first video f yours that I have seen. Very interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully you stick around for more
You've combined the features of an axe, a deadblow hammer and a messer. I dub this the Deadblow Messaxe. It looks cool enough to be a signature movie hero or villain weapon.
It's because it fits.
Having smaller pellets behave closer to a fluid whereas this only allows motion along a 1 dimensional line according to the axe head. It's like using those machines at the gym vs using actual weights vs using those wacky weights with springs. You end up using energy to stabilize it without realizing it.
I wonder what else can be done to make it more interesting.
Wonderful video a Twist you could do to this style of experiment is make an ax using the Hammerhead darts as a example for the ax head. It just have to be shaped in a way to follow through on the hit.
Subscribed for the facial expressions 🤣
Oh there’s more of those to come
I would like to see you test it with it as designed and with a piece of wood in each pipe taking up the free room. To see if the moving balls are actually doing anything beyond making noise.
U are flipping ate up 😂 love it 😂
Fxcking love this guy
A most impressive tool of destruction!
Solid effort, have a thumb 👍
This is great!😂😂😂
Thank you very much
Years ago I asked a boilermaker mate to make me a steel handle axe, he told me it was stupid because the wood handle would flex and not impart so much shock load into my arms and hands, well I had him make it anyway!
I will say it did impart more shock load but was great still because I had him make it around 6-8” longer than a standard handle and make chopping easier for me and my mate who are both 6ft
You remind me of Bob Mortimer, if he didnt get into comedy and just decided to make random shit. Thank you for scratching an itch I never knew I had
😂😂😂 thats a new one
Highly entertaining
Thank you, plenty more to come
Lovely work! I am curious, how is the vibration? I know from hatchets that fiberglass/polymer handles transfer more vibration than wooden handles, and I would guess that the steel haft/tang would do the same. Again, beautiful work and well done!
Fight ya for a caravan 🤛😆 awesome axe man! Quality work.
Nice Work 👍👍👍
Interesting result.
Try making a tomahawk type axe next but instead of tubes on the head use a tube handle. Then add the bearing balls to the tube. That would give somewhat similar effect I think but probably easier to make and also a more slick build with a less springy handle.
This is the first video of you I have watched. You, are an odd duck sir.
Well there’s more to come
now imagine if it also had one of those bendy handles like those hammers used for railway construction
