I'll be honest, I thought that hollow axe head might possibly crumple. But you pulled it off. Great idea and liked how light it was; whole axe was less than a standard axe head. Welds and cleaning made it look brilliant. Congratulations and Cheers Mate 🍻 for a successful build. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

its incredible that that worked
your probably right that it wont be cutting down trees but as a wood splitter that was incredible
that being said i doubt it would work like your dead blow axes the pressure from the shot/sand or whatever you would put in the head of this one would likely work counterintuitivly resulting in the hollow head either denting along the edge or even just causing it to burst from the force
as goofy as you act through these projects at the end of the day your an amazing craftsman. even if your designs wouldn't win a beauty contest, that's not always what someone is looking for in a tool. beauty is secondary to getting a job done.
Massive potential for a dead-blow axe here.
