I am from England over the pond and this is so wonderful, the Suffork Punch bread is very rare. In years gone by these horses fed the nation until the tractor came along. So grateful to you Jim. The gentle giants working on the land once again. The breeding society here are making efforts to save the breed here in England.
I've replied to a few of their videos and similar Suffolk Punch vids on TH-cam telling them about Jim and Baron. Particularly that he has frozen semen available, should they need some genetic diversity.
I read somewhere, I don't know if it is true, that "only fillies from these crosses (Suffolk/Belgian) were eligible for registration with the North American Suffolk Horse Association." Can someone confirm?!🤔
It's a massive dream of mine to start a Suffolk Punch sanctuary here in the States and help bring the breed back. I'm so grateful to Jim and Brenda for all the work they do. Such a massive inspiration!
My lineage is from England 🇬🇧. My Father born England, moved to Canada 🇨🇦 then onto United States 🇺🇸. Had three citizenship. My mother's siblings born England as were their parents. My Mother born in Canada 🇨🇦 as I.
earls left front leg looks like he's hitting a lot and he feels it.might be sore tomorrow.. they sure have come a long way, it's amazing to us of their accomplishments..super horse training.anyone agree?
Wonderful day! The three brothers working together. They look handsome side-by-side. When they have matching harnesses it will be even more impressive. Thank you, Jim. I'm sure we all eagerly anticipated this day.
What a wonderful sight,at last the day lve been waiting for,boy they do look good.l only new about this video from the comment's from the Eclipse video...don't know why.So happy l got to share the Eclips experience with you both dear friends ❤
He’s a high energy, playful, happy puppy. His job is to play and entertain his family. 😀🐶❤️ Lucky dog to have all this room to run and nice humans to be with him during his fun!
.@@pamelawoodall5891if he's rained in, he'll get wet. If he's reigned in, he'll be taken over. If he's reined in, he'll be controlled. "Reined" in is the correct term. Everyone is welcome...😅
A lot of work has gone into these 3 young horses, magnificent to see the outcome, great job Jim! I still remember when you brought them home and questioned their future, I am sure they have convinced you of their worth to you. 😊
Like the previous poster, I am also from UK.coming from rural Sussex. This takes me back to my childhood in the 50s. Fond memories and good times. Thank you
The horses are doing so well thanks to Jim’s training method. Brenda is doing great as the camera lady & Skip is having a field day (literally & metaphorically)! Great to see ❤
Those boys are definitely impressive looking, Jim!! Beautiful horses. I wondered if this is the first time you've had a trio of brothers to hitch? I'll always remember the day you, Brenda, and Abby went to pick up the young colts Duke and Earl! They were something else catching them and then trying to load in the trailer! They didn't want to leave their mama!!!❤
Wow !!!! that was just lovely seeing the three brothers together, what beautiful well behaved horses ,love seeing Skippy also 😊 Thanks for sharing great video like always
They look really nice together. Good boys! Skippy always amazes me. He runs and runs. He never stops running!! I would love to know how many miles he covers in a day. You should put some kind of tracker on him and then tell us. it’s a good thing that he is on a farm. I can’t even imagine what an active dog like him would be like if he didn’t get to run like he does. He’s become as much of a part of your channel for me as the horses are.
Always glad to see the horses at work, but I understand the need for the mixed power. Just keep doing what y'all need to do for the farm. Thanks for letting us tag along
This is so cool, finally getting all the Suffolk punch colts together working. Something many of us have been waiting to see. They look so great together.
Beautiful Suffolk team! Duke and Earl are doing serious work! I guess Bill lost his exemption from field work, LOL! Great video. Thanks for sharing your days with us.
The threesom looks great working together so well behaved and gentle. Resting the team teaches the young Colts how to stand which is so important. It's hard when you have a list of chores to do to just stop to rest the team but you have the experience to know when they need to stop. God bless and keep safe
I've loved the Suffolk Punch for a long time, and seeing three of them pulling together brings a tear to my eye. God bless you for the work you're doing with the breed!!
The three punchateers together at last. We finally see the suffolks together and they look mighty good together working smoothly to me. Jim maybe sees some faults but thinking that it's minor fault. Thanks Jim and Brenda what a picture that makes!
That is the most novel blade I have ever seen! The Suffolks travel much faster than the older 3! They look fantastic, power pack in the making. I love the new clip-clop percussion theme tune.
Hi, Jim and Brenda. The brothers are very handsome working together! I don’t usually respond to your videos, but I always smile when Skippy is out with you… I think that he is living his best life with you two😊
The Suffolk has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl in the midwest. I was tickled to spend a long time with a team at Kentucky Horse Park and then again at draft horse exhibitions once I moved to the pacific northwest. There is something about a three horse hitch that I love. Thank for putting us right behind them to feel as if we have the reins. These young boys are doing great. ✨
4/8- Eclipse day....suppose to come right over north NY today..Man I wish you guys could get that on film. Those 3 are gorgeous...Baron leading the brothers.lov from south Alabama.
The day has come to see all 3 Suffolk Punch horse's working together and it was wonderful. 🐎🐎🐎. Seems like Skippy was in the mood to play with Duke but he wouldn't as to say to Skippy I have a job to do. God bless you both 🙏 ❤️ ❤
So cool to see all 3 boys together , I knew it was gonna happen soon . I have watched your channel since it started , and remember just the 2 pairs , Bill , Lady , Buck , and Ken . One day , it will be the 3 boys and Brea working together . Keep up the great work !
I watch the horses ear’s. Baron’s are most always pointed back. Listening to you. The two younger colts. Are all around. But most back. Now Skippy. At the beginning. You see him darting about in the field. At the beginning. He’s a streak of lighting. But, the slow’s down as he tuckers out. It’s nice to see how he interacts with the horse. ❤❤❤
Duke and Earl make a pretty team. And seem to be learning fast. But Baron has such a saucy swager. And seems to be telling the younsters this is how it's done. They look great together. Good job training Jim. I can hear all those precious newengland rocks you are blessed with in your fields. Thanks for filming and sharing.
Awesome team video of the the 3 suffix punch brothers🙌🏼 They look great! They don’t look that much smaller when it is just the 3 of them and are not standing beside their bigger coworkers. Good video🙌🏼👏👍🏼👌🏼🤠🇨🇦
I enjoy your sunrise. Thank you. Who is cool and see the three suffix work together. I’m sure they will do mini mini mini things together in the future. Never quit putting out your videos. I enjoy them immensely.
your mic/wind buffer setup is top notch. didn't even notice it. I have been waiting ever since you bought the colts to see them working and hitched. then you bought baron and now hot dog you got all 3 together. Great job, Jim. thank you for sharing this with us.
Bonjour madame Brenda et monsieur Jim et monsieur William! So, it’s the perfect team! You can be proud of the training that you give to your horses. They are calm and they work altogether.
In my area, NE Indiana, William was pulling a disc, and earlier Jim was pulling a spring-tooth harrow. The spikes at the back would be the actual harrow. I guess different areas call things different names. Either way, it was getting the job done.
Jim and Brenda, Duke, Baron and Earl look terrific hitched together on the harrows. I really like the hitch with the center horse in the shaves steering the two outside horses with Duke and Earl's inside bit ring strapped to the ring of the hames .The Suffolk Punch Brothers look fantastic.
You have to be very happy Jim with the training results with the three Suffex colts. All your patience and work has really paid off. It seems like yesterday that you brought them home.
Saudações daqui do sul do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷💜🪻🌻🌿🌾🍀❣️❣️
I watched Skippy in a previous video with the cows. He seems to have a herding instinct. He also shadows the horses, keeping a presence to keep them together. He is active, I think because in that setting he is working. His instinct to keep the herd together.
Ja, Skippy hat von klein auf Hüteeigenschaften. Aber heute war er sehr frech. Er hätte dem Pferd fast ins Maul gebissen. Er kommt wahrscheinlich bald in die Pubertät.
I was amazed to see the horses kicking up some dust. Here in Western France the soil (what Brenda calls 'dirt') is somewhat clay. We had a few dry days a week ago when I was able to put the cultivator on the field, but then more rain. The Meteo is good for the week end and for next week. I may be able to catch up with you then. When I lived in England, in Suffolk, there was a prison nearby that used Suffolk Punches to cultivate the prison fields where they grew crops to feed the prisoners. The horses and the outdoor work was very therapeutic for the prisoners. Unfortunately a new prison regime sold the horses and bough in food from outside.
Hollesley near Woodbridge, home of the Suffolk Punch Trust. The Prison Service decided to sell the farm and horses in 2002 and the Trust was established and by 2006 it had purchased the farm, 120 acres, stallions, mares and geldings plus the young stock. They are currently open from 10.00 until 16.00 between 4 and 6 days of the week depending on holidays etc. Currently four stallions at stud.
Well done Jim, such a nice matching hitch. And Brenda got to drive them the first day as well! I noticed Barron has now left the halter behind when he is out. A sign of his status as a good broke horse.
I agree, Brenda. Those three do look beautiful together! I appreciate the driver's view and the dialog during that sequence, the explanation of the straps to the bits and so forth. Having that great shot where Brenda took a moment to show all of it also helped. It's good to hear it and see it again.
Brenda you are still the best camera person ever. You are smooth and you really know how keep ahead of it. Don’t know your secret, but i am impressed! 3:35

Great to finally see the trio working together with big brother in the middle.
Thank you. The field is being groomed nicely for cultivation & ready for planting.

Amazing to see those three horses working together. A combination of good breeding and good training is giving you a great team
Love your videos and enjoy watching. May the lord bless and protect you and Jim working the horses in the fields
Was remarkable how much time the brothers kept their ears on Jim. The other horses don’t seem to listen quite so intently to Jim.

With all of Skippy's energy, there should be some kind of implement to hook up to him. Maybe a one-rock sled to help clear rocks out of the fields.
