Due to shape the moon could be made mostly of lava bubbles like an Aero bar chocolate. Formed like dropping a molton metal in space.

There was a report last year that they found the remains of a planet underneath the Earth's crust.So there's no way the moon is a dual planet or a catched planet or anything else, it's collision.

There's an asteroid belt out past Mars it in orbit around our sun Earth and the moon where it's moon before the destruction of that planet Earth moved into the space around the Sun that is in now the perfect habitable zone for the life. Short story here we are now.
