I'm a manga reader and I absolutely love this series. The best part is that there really is so much content (50+ manga chapters) to indulge in and all the shenanigans they get into are soooo entertaining. I'm glad you enjoyed the first ep.

When i read the manga months ago, my thought is that ANYA IS THE CUTEST EVER. And now she has a voice! 😂 It makes her even cuter, i seriously can't. Her VA is doing a great job Loid is such a badass. And without spoiling, i also really love the woman who's gonna be the mother. You'll gonna see badass "couple" 😎

It’s impressive that a spy show that starts episode 1 with an assassination via car crash in the first ten seconds is universally accepted as one of the cutest and wholesome series out right now. That is impressive
You have to love that Anya's trying her hardest at four or five to be like a six-year-old. And even with her ESP, she just wants Papa to love her. Which has Twilight on the hot seat as he can't do much to blow the mission, and can't have much leeway either.
Knew these Anya and Loid scenes are gonna pull those heartstrings. Couldn't have imagined Anya's voice acting better than these. The last 3 scenes are all 🥺🥺🥺

The Titel is "Spy Family" - you read it with out the x. It's actually in the japanese Titel. Just below the big latin letters you an see small Katakana (スパイファミリー) which read "Spy Family". I love the manga! I read it on the jump plus app and my the volumes when I are published in germany. Speaking of germany. As many people noticed the story is sat in a fantasy version of germany since the city is called Berlint. But I also noticed the use the old german money! The one we had befor the Euro. You can see it in the scene when Anya holds the Coin. The coin has the oak leaf together with wheat and some linies on it.

It's not just wit studio but also clover work studio (who did my dress up darling, and many other popular series)this anime is collaboration between two studios they both are great studio
Forgot to mention but the flashback scene of Loid as a child, you see the background in tatters, suggesting when he was a child, he probably lost his family and there was a war going on and the whole town got bombed or shelled. That's just my guess going by the insane amount of building damage around him in the very short flashback.
Fun Fact: Anya Forger is voiced by the lovely Tanezaki Atsumi who also voiced Inui Sajuna (JuJu) from My Dress-Up Darling and Vivy from Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song.

We definitely needed to balance the cosmic scales after that AoT season where we got full Eren "F them kids" Jaeger. I hope you enjoy this anime, the manga is one of my favorite reads.
Loid thinks and tries to tell himself even after this that it is just a fake family. just for the mission and so on. And sure we knew that he really would go save her because we know he is a good guy but notice that he didn't ultimately decide to save Anya because he could still use her. He chose to risk his cover and life just to get her outside and 'set her free' sending her to the police station. There was no upside to the mission or himself. It was an act of pure love for a child. A completely selfless act. Even if he doesn't realize it, he already loves her and has truly become her father. Loid might be a genius super spy but he is the slowest of the bunch at recognizing his own feelings.

Also also, the scene of her alone in the house "wanting to get the bomb back" was translated as "I just wanted to disarm bombs". Kinda weird, I always figured our subbers just translated from english

My country had a bloody history in the 60's, I suspect his work had something to do with that.
