    So far our HOA and special assessments ($13K to date).
    The insurance cost are out of control and my golden years are turning dreary..

      I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re facing with HOA fees and special assessments. Rising costs, especially for insurance, can be incredibly challenging, particularly during what should be your golden years.Thank you for sharing your experience, others need to hear this as well.

    Thanks for the video. Good information. These HOA most of the times are run by busy bodies who like control and try to give you tickets for everything and are in cliques. Many have made useless financial decisions like a new kitchen in the clubhouse to update the aesthetics. Just dumb stuff now comes time to pay the piper.

      Thank you for watching and for your comment! It's definitely frustrating when HOA boards make decisions that don't seem to prioritize the best interests of the community. Balancing necessary improvements with fiscal responsibility can be challenging. It's crucial for residents to stay informed and involved to ensure their voices are heard. Attending meetings and voting on important matters can make a big difference. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

      Thank you Al! Yes, we are good here; we will have a little increase, but nothing too bad. Just seen on this morning's news Surfside South in Ormond has a $100K assessment!

    Personally I do not feel any sympathy on the condo owners who allowed their stupid board to only put $70 per unit in the reserves. Now its biting them in the butt.

      It's definitely tough when reserve funds fall short. It's a good lesson in the importance of robust financial planning for condo associations.

    Good information I predict there’s gonna be a mass exodus selling condos and wealthy investors will come in and scoop up prime real estate bulldoze, and build up high and expensive condos.

    • @VeronicaEdwards50
      @VeronicaEdwards50  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your comment! The trend you're predicting is something we're definitely seeing signs of in the market. Many owners are struggling with the financial burden of these special assessments, which can lead to a wave of sales. Wealthy investors do have the opportunity to acquire these properties and redevelop them, which could significantly change the landscape of these areas. It's a situation with both challenges and opportunities, and it's important for current and prospective condo owners to stay informed and prepared. Let's see how this unfolds over the next few months.

      I appreciate you sharing your perspective. HOAs can indeed be a source of frustration for many, but they also provide benefits such as maintenance, community amenities, and property value protection. However, I understand that they aren’t the right fit for everyone.
      For those considering a move, it's important to weigh the pros and cons of living in an HOA community and to choose what best suits their lifestyle and preferences. Your feedback highlights the importance of doing thorough research before making such decisions.
      Thank you for watching and for your comment!

      @@VeronicaEdwards50 Absolutely Not. That is the laziness in humans that we tell ourselves to justify living in a HOA.

      Getting old is not something the Republicans can stop, nor the Democrats, but if you believe in God then maybe he can!. The buildings are getting old and falling apart .... and since built by man ..... are destined to crumble and perish like anything of man. You cannot expect to buy a 30 year old car and expect it to be as reliable as a new car-and get mad at the world, or in your case mad at Republicans, when the car breaks down and it is going to cost you way more to fix than it is worth. Expect the need to junk it or do a one off custom rebuild,with rebuild costs typically higher than a new factory made car. Most of those old condos would be cheaper to tear down and rebuild new. The problem is all the New York Liberals who moved and retired in Florida who are in denial with real life and real costs and expecting someone else to pay for their poor decisions in over paying for these ancient and decrepit condos that are well past their design life and expiration dates. Unless you God you cannot stop the destruction of time and age. Nothing lasts forever and after you are gone you will not care anymore!
