Laguna Seca: * The pitlane exit at Laguna Seca has been updated to match its authentic location in the real world. * Fixed corrupt ambient occlusion zones that were occurring on some parts of the track. Nordschleife: * The curbing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife has been adjusted for 2024 accuracy. * Speaker poles have been added throughout the track. * Removal of some feather flags across the track. Same weather conditions on both tracks (9.00 AM, mostly clear). As I'm in the middle of doing TDU2 vs TDUSC Sound Comparison, I used Forza Bob to drive.
@@playerone2629 hey, there is a point after a long straight like an "s" where the kurbs was too low. I'm not on my computer now to check, if I was I would research for the curve name 😅 I'm really enjoying Nordschleife after the update
I'm pretty sure if I go over Mishas real life every day videos at the Nurburgring...again, because I analyzed his track footage to FM and I took screenshots and made a collage of my own a couple months ago, that the majority of these curbs will still be really wide when they're not, or really flat when they're taller. Motorgames showed me 2 corners that had a very minor curb change. When I feel so to doing all that again, because that track has a LOT of curbs, then maybe I'll do it again. What I've played today and see in this video is extremely minimal if even noticed, to say it is quite the change "people wanted." I say it still needs more fixing on that track...even others
No curbs changed. It's still very wrong at Brünnchen. They did throw a bunch of dust on the track though, so that's something I guess. Looks better without the flags everywhere, but they didn't really bother me. Wish they could afford to put in a more detailed environment around the track. ACC takes your breath away the first couple of times you drive it.
Is there some sort of grey overlay used on the update 8 footage? Cause the update 9 footage looks more vibrant and has better contrast and color. Also update 9 has better clouds. The updated curb geometry at tge Nordschleife makes me more cautious when racing it. Its like the track got narrower.
many tracks have had that film/filter look since launch. Brand Hatch was the first track that actually looked vibrant on release, and now the rest seem to be catching up. Lighting looks better for sure.
Maybe they're really changing the lighting? On Laguna Seca, it's actually noticeable tho, not on Nurburgring Also the Porsche and bump start added is a nice update
Is the game Dark Night back? I haven't watched the video yet, but I hope so, I hate seeing the night track full of lights that don't exist in real life, just because the ultra-casual players said it was so dark in FM6/7 I hope the rain improves in the next update, the rain in FM8 seems much lower than what we saw in FM6 and FM7, also lower than what we see in FH5 The reflections in this update seem to have improved a little, before there were almost no reflections on the cars
What curbs were exatly fixed? I just ran it, and it looks the same. Still has some ultra wide, and some ultra flat curbs. I went and compared the curbs a couple months ago to Mishas real life track videos and noticed all those wide curbs, and even those flatter curbs on FM, where his videos showed those curbs not as wide, and also taller on some.
Yeah like the outside curb on the exit of the first corner was already inaccurate and it didn't change? Edit: Rewatched the video and couldn't make out a single curb that was different
@@MotoGamesTV Thanks for pointing those out. Interesting how the AI gets thrown off, was pretty much identical before 3:31 but behind afterwards. The patch notes are still a huge stretch though
Couple of curb fixes, more dirt on road (much more), bit more colour to the trees and sky, lighting tweaked a touch. It's minor, and could use further enhancement, but it's better than it was for sure. When it launched, it was horribly washed out.
@cenktheangel textures and vegetation, how so? And all I see is a slight brightness change. You know there is a difference in saying "lightning" and "brightness?"
Nah, they just changed the coloring a little, if that were the case, I think the skybox would be much better, this skybox from Forza motorsport currently looks like it's from the PS2
Lighting improved dramatically over the last two updates, car models and environments looking much better as a result. Game feels like it still in active development
Update 9 looks better - it's brighter and more colorful, with sharper, clearer details. The volumetric clouds look way less flat now, they have proper self-shadowing and depth. Before they just looked like shapeless white patches in the sky.
L...M...M...F...A...O........🤦♂️ It's EXACTLY the same as it was before. T10 would definitely jump on that in the update notes. They love to brag about graphics. Whatever grey saturation filter they had really gave the game an uncanny uncomfortable to look at appearance.
