Thank you for these videos. Didn't even know that was a pre-installed screen protector 😅. Now i feel better that I can do what you did instead of waiting without a phone. Also, the additional comments from people who did go through samsung makes me feel like that would be a waste of time anyway so. Bye bye protector! Thank you good sir
Glad that the video was helpful. Mine is definitely still going strong with no issues at all. The only thing I would say is that if you do decide to remove it just take as much time as possible and remove it very slowly.
great video! my original screen protector peeled off too already. I have it replaced by Samsung but the new protector began to have bubble just 2days after the replacement! it's crazy!! i think for the replacements Samsung will not be using the original adhesive protector in the box anymore, which is sad, means that replacements wont be as durable as the protector out of the box. I bought a White Stone film, i'll try that one after the bubble from this Samsung film replacement bubbles began worst and unbearable. If everything didnt work, I think I'll start using it without the screen protector too.
Much appreciated. I've seen the Whitestone protector and wondered if they were any good. Samsung does need to get this sorted out or just remove the protector all together and focus on improving the glass.
Exqctly the same issue im getting here. I had it peel on the hinge and had it replaced. Days later it did the same thing. And now Asurion says they do not have the parts available anywhere so they can't do anything. Samsung says send it in for 7 days plus shipping. I said f*ck no. Now im stuck here with a phone that's slowly peeling itself away.
I'm just just worried that if I take it off, a spec of dust or something will sneak in there when I'm not looking, then I go to wipe my screen, & it just gets scratched to to heck & back... 😂 With this being the most expensive thing I've ever bought (with the exception of my vehicle, obviously...), it makes me nervous to even think about taking off the screen protector, but, it's just going to have have to happen soon, as it seems to be spreading more each day...😅 I thought about getting the Fold 5, or getting the Pixel Fold, but decided against them when a few things happened that I won't go into, not to mention that neither of them is far enough above the Fold 4 for me to spend that money, so, removing the screen protector seems like the more logical option...🤔 (Although, unlike a few other people, I'll likely try to find out where I could just buy another one to put on, for no other reason than that false sense of security it'll give me...)😂
I definitely don't blame you for being careful in this way. This was the same exact approach I took to it it's just that Samsung hasn't done enough to flush out their support model for the fold series especially in this regard. It was honestly a huge risk for me to do it but luckily it worked out. I made a recent update about having to use this 74 days later and my phone is still perfectly fine it all comes down to how you remove it not if per se.
Just Removed My Fold 4's inners screen protector, now lets see how much time i will survive. Am a big fan of foldables , but innercscreen protector peeling off and hinge problem really dissapointed me. My Fold 4 not opening flat anymore 😢
Hey bro. Did it ever occur to you maybe the phone peels itself because it was too hot? I know the fold 4 has a very bad issue abiut its body being too hot. That's what happened to me. My fold 4 gets too hot while using it folded and thats when i noticed that it was actually peeling itself due to the hinge being closed and heat would get trapped there. Now im afraid to even use my phone closed lol
I thought about this, but I had been experiencing the same issue with my Fold 3 in the winter. With the Fold 4 it started when my phone wouldn't close all the way so im not entirely sure what makes it happen but I do know that Samsung really needs to fix it
@WIH_R_C yeah indeed it is pretty common. But for me I noticed it more when the phone gets too hot. I have a car mount that goes into the AC grills. And I put my GFold there opened and the cold air blows directly on it. And it's pretty hot in CA too and the phone gets hot. I suspected it might have been that since hot and cold definitely creates condensation. But yeah. If shit doesn't work out I'm taking the protector on and try my luck and not break it or just trade it with an s23
Good vid bro ....Mine cracked up as well and I've been a couple of months with mine off and the only problem I have is the norm which is just a lil dust and wiping it off a lil more often but overall it's holding up and actually does better than the screen protector on 👍🏾
I don't but I frequently use the inner display and even up until now I have no scratches on it. I know this is something that a lot of people have stated can happen when you do move the screen protector but for whatever reason it hasn't happened to me.

Thanks buddy you cleared my biggest doubt. I am tired of my fold 4's inner guard screen protector
No problem at all. Will you be removing yours?
How is it now? I have same problem@WIH_R_C

Can we install a new normal plastic screen protector from local shop after removing the original one.. will it damage the phone ?
You can, but you have to be very precise or out could create the same issue.
How is it with fingerprints? Is it less on original screen compared to this plastic film on top of it
I'd say they're less noticeable compared to the film. They're also a little easier to clean, in my opinion.

I hear you. Samsung needs to do way better. Hopefully, there isn't a major issue with your hinge, and it resolves itself.

Much appreciated. I agree. I enjoy using it without the screen protector more.
HOw long you had it off?
Still going strong??
Yup, no issues here.
do you play games (inner screen obviously 😅)
I'm affraid of scratching it like I already did with the protector
I don't but I frequently use the inner display and even up until now I have no scratches on it. I know this is something that a lot of people have stated can happen when you do move the screen protector but for whatever reason it hasn't happened to me.
Is it still good?? Did you get any damages on the screen or nothing happened
I don't have my Fold 4 anymore before before I traded it in, there was no damage to the display at all.
still good?
Yup. No problems here. Literally just completed filming a video about this that I'll have up either tonight or tomorrow.
@@WIHRC awesome!
