    +Ryan S. That's what I'm explaining in the video! It is highly recommended to use photoreal scenery, because the default scenery doesn't contain all recognizable landmarks like rivers and roads. Something like Ultimate Terrain Europe will also do though.

    How does VFR navigation work when you are connected to VATSIM?

    Which Cessna was that and where can i get it

    Would it be a good idea to fly a VFR flight as a first flight on VATSIM? I'm a bit new atc phraseology and so it will probably be on an non-towered runway.

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sparcer What's the point of starting flying on VATSIM on a non-towered runway? In that way you can never learn the phraseology as you are not talking to ATC. I would suggest to start with flying VFR circuits at a single airport with online ATC, then you can cet used to talking with ATC and to some basic VFR phraseology. After that, you can work your way up from there. :)

      AviationPro Sure, seems like a good idea. ill be sure to do that when i get VATSIM

    can i update the fsx stock gps (like garmin500)? If not, is there freeware out there which i can use? thx

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +unclealig I think you can, but you might want to take a look at VASFMC.

    • @unclealig
      @unclealig 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      VASFMC may be a good solution. But in a cessna you don't have a FMC at all...

    Hey AviationPro, so i tried to fly a VFR with the cessna 172 from EHAM to EHRD. Then before takeoff the ATC said to me : Victor ( V ) departure. What does that mean=

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's an exit point of the Schiphol CTR, that's why it is so important to read the procedures first and to have CHARTS! :)

      @yas123ismdutchflighsim 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do I need to have photo-real scenery for VFR flights on VATSIM?

    • @davidstrauss8746
      @davidstrauss8746 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      its easier then. the default scenery does not contain good landmarks

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ryan S. That's right, it makes it a lot easier. As an alternative you could use products like Ultimate Terrain to get some more landmarks on the default scenery

    So what would the equipment code be for a 737-800? :D
    Would it be a Q or a R?

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on the kind of 737 and on the airline. Best thing to do is look up an actual 737 airframe and see if you can get to know the real equipment code of that particular aircraft ;)

      I asked a buddy of mine who is a pilot and he said that it is a /L, lets just hope that's true lol. I also hope that the adition of winglets doesn't change the class.

    • @AviationPro
      @AviationPro  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I don't think it does, it is really about the radio and navigation equipment of the aircraft :)

    • @AviationPro

      You need to buy an addon aircraft, like the PMDG 737.

      +AviationPro That's just awesome! ☺ Nice little and comfy airport it is. Have you also been to Lelystad Airport, EHLE? Dutch government wants by 2019 commercial aviation also to take advantages there, however there are many protests. Lot's of tarmac and RWY 05/23 L/R in progress... Hope it doesn't kill GA and Teuge Airport. Route is directly over Teuge Airport and crosses dropzone of the para's.
