    Oh this made me smile my mum and I have done this when she was showing me the farm she grew up on she knocked on the door and we went through the house, down to the milking shed. I remember feeling the same feelings seeing the land my grandfather worked.

    I had tears rolling down my face. My mother never had a good relationship with her mom, she was emotionally abused by her mother. She always tells me that she would’ve loved to be close to her mother. My mother and I are very close and your family is an example of how i want my future family to be. Thank you for showing the importance of family. Absolutely love your family.

    Oh I LOVED this video, it’s always so much fun to reminisce and I think it’s even better that you got to relive those steps. I always feel like a kid again when I revisit the holiday spots I used to go as a child and there is nothing better than being able to share it with my own kids.
    Big hugs from my family to yours from Melbourne, Australia

    I loved this video and I will continue to love every video that either includes a story from your past or actual footage. There really is such a strong spirit within your family. You guys don't even have to talk, we can just feel it. The red bathroom totally made me think of Ruby. I guess thats where she gets her love for colour. You are so incredibly lucky to be able to go back to these places and kind of re live the moment. So special. Thanks for sharing Bonnie.

It brought back a lot of memories of being at my grandmother’s house and memories in the neighborhood where I grew up. I could feel the magic of your childhood as I watched. I adore your mom and I love that she’s a fellow Jennifer! This was just so fun to watch!!❤️

    I love you Bonnie. That was so fun to see all Grandma's old places. Not too long ago mom and I did that trip and even into Rupert. It's so fun to see the old stomping grounds and share the old memories. I wish I had all those stories recorded. I bet you drove by our old farm too! The "sailing" adventure was pretty funny. You just can't demand wind from Mother Nature! Come back soon and as often as you can! 😘

    This was flipping AH-MAZING😁 I love love love real family stories. I wish more people took the time to remember where they came from & appreciate the hard work of their moms, dads, grandparents, etc.
    Actually, this is the reason I 💘 cemeteries & old, abandoned buildings. Others have walked those paths before me with thier own thoughts, feelings, & experiences.
    Appreciate & remember the old things people!! They matter!

  • @deidrekoehler2882
    @deidrekoehler2882 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I cannot believe the owner of the home you visited kept the house the exact way your grandmother did! Your mother must have had such an emotional experience. I am having one for her, what a unbelievable blessing. I have goosebumps. When I even drive by my old childhood home there are so many memories I cry and want to buy my old house! Which is impossible because I live 800 miles from my old home. There is something sacred about homes and memories of lost ones and childhood, things we can’t rewind and do again, we appreciate what childhood memories and fun and family we had. We want our children to have those same blessings and experiences that we did. I wish I could go back for just a month to be a child again but with my adult mind and soak up every second of gratitude and love and love those who have gone before me so much more.

    I loooove this vlog. 💘 So fun to hear about your childhood experiences swimming in the river. 💘 It's a treat to see the homes 💘 your Mum grew up in and hear her tell stories 💘 about the rooms and the furnishings. 💘 The joy that you, Ellie and Jennifer share is so contagious. 💘 Do you ever wonder what your Grandparents would say if they could see how you are living your lives in 2018? I'm sure they would be very proud of each of you 💘 and of your Mum for raising you so well. 💘

    Loved seeing where your mother grew up and all the things you kids did at grandma's house. Your mom's eyes lit up when she saw her old home and how much was the same. I guess I enjoyed it, because I remember so much from my home, growing up, but we swam in the sulfa creek behind out house. We lived pretty much the same way with very few conveniences though. Thanks Bonnie.

Everything was so beautiful, sure outdated you would think....but beautiful to still be in that condition so many years later! I would love to go back to the home I grew up in and still have everything look that nice now. Those things are all coming back into style now. The gold and marble, totally.....the gold chandeliers...we had the exact same ones!! That green and red bathroom, LOVED....lol! We also had a lavender bedroom, our bathrooms were a little different we had yellow tile in one, and blue tile in the other....floors , walls, everything! This video will be awesome for the rest of the family to see I think...and I know it was special for grandma Griff to see! Love you all!

    I LOOOVED this vlog!! It’s so sweet when you’re able to take your children to a place that you spent so many wonderful summer days. What I found the most touching as seeing your mom’s eyes as she took you all back to her first home. How neat would it have been had she pulled that bottom drawer out in her old room & found those notes !! That kid for sharing your memories with us !! PS: so sorry the kids were stung by those dang bees !
