How have I missed these stamping tutorial tidbits! Getting inspired by watching these today! I bought a few of the Van Gogh foam stamps, but I still want to buy your seed pod, citrus wheel and rocks rubber stamps. Going to take advantage of the Joggles sale!
Always an inspiration to watch I have learned so much from your videos. I always recommend you on my gelli plate group I belong to when someone is new to gelli printing or frustrated. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Stunning prints! The last one with the teal spirals was especially fabulous! I realized when I tried the very wet Golden paint on the reverse of the rice paper & foam stamping on the front last week that I needed more foam stamps! I ordered one with the 20% off sale and hopefully I can stock up with a few more with this sale!
Yes! It’s all about layering and understanding paint coverage and patterns that work well together! Glad you got to take advantage of the sale! Thanks for the support. So much.
love how these turned out. I need to take a wk, and just play with my gelli plates and foam stamps. Got your chicken stamps this week and love them. tfs
As always, I am inspired by your color choices. I'd like to learn more about the uses of rubber and foam stamps. Why use one instead of another? What are their relative strengths, etc..?
Foam is more economical and easier to store because they are light weight. Rubber can have more fine line detail than foam but are more expensive to produce and are heavy. Mounted to wood they are even more heavy. Both have plus and minus!
You always manage to come up with new and beautiful ways to use what we think we know all about (and no excuse now not to get the stamps from my wishlist :)
Fabulous1!!! Love using the foam stamps for the third layer. WOW! I just ordered ROC as Ive been eying it for a time. I sure hope I get to come to one of your workshops one day.
Hi Elizabeth! I've been struggling with knowing what drawer to put some prints in. The last print- yellow, orange, turquoise- what drawer would you put that in? I ❤️ using the foam stamps. They add that special 'something' to my prints and backgrounds.
For a couple of days, I’ve been wondering what change I could make to freshen my POV. Nothing major, just something. Watching you, I thought: Aha, landscape orientation. Why don’t I try that since I always print with my plate in portrait mode? Originally, I did that to maximize my minimal work space. Do you remember why you started printing in landscape? Just wondering. Thanks for the other new ideas, too, since working with even the best stamps can feel uninspired if you don’t find new ways to use them.
Watercolor works great on the foam stamps in many different ways. The woman who produces them used watercolor. Yes! You can sponge watercolor through the stencils to form beautiful patterns. Check out David Lobenberg’s work !
Hi Linda, all links are always below the video in the description box, ALL my links and good information is down there! but here's the link for the stamps for you: bit.ly/3vvJDzZ
Why do my prints come out looking speckled from the plate. To me they look rough. Yours don’t seem to come out like that. Is it the camera that doesn’t show the speckling on your pieces (if they even have them) maybe?
So excited to play with brand new foam stamps. Marvelous designs!
Thank you so much! I really enjoy creating them and stamping with them very much. I also appreciate the support
Oooh I like this a lot. The gold is beautiful.

Yah a sale I have been eyeing some of your foam stamps and Stencils. I’m a try this on a card I been wanting to do using large and small designs
I would say to grab some of the stamps with thin line designs for a final layer, for sure. It’s a great sale

Divided into four pieces, and put it into four different drawers by color. :-) I split all my 9 x 12 sheets into four pieces
I appreciate this question and answer so much!

I always print landscape because it fits on the video camera best! But I have always worked that way right from the beginning. Happy to inspire!
Is there a finish or varnish I should use on my gel plate art to protect from sun?
Never put it in the sun!
So this might sound stupid but I work mostly with water color, would water color work on the stamps and klimt stencils?

Btw, one of these days Joggles will have a sale when I have some $$$ ;o)
LOL! Right?
Why do my prints come out looking speckled from the plate. To me they look rough. Yours don’t seem to come out like that. Is it the camera that doesn’t show the speckling on your pieces (if they even have them) maybe?
The plate releases some oil, especially when it’s new.
