*I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare **MyBest.Kitchen** a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. This is not my first air fryer and all the ones tested basically perform under the same rules th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB you will have to go through trial and error many times until you get the settings that work for you. For example, it has a setting for fries (25 minutes) but it is apparently designed for a basket full of fries. For a personal portion I use the label that looks like a carrot and done! They are exactly as I want them. For nuggets? I use the fish preset. And those are two of the examples... the feature I like the most is that it displays both the temperature and the time and yes you can manually add time or change the temperature as needed but it will default to the preset once it has finished.I hope this helps.
Hello from Nova Scotia. I’ve just gotten an air fryer, and your recipes the best I’ve seen! Simple, straightforward, healthy and delicious - thank you very much.
In the U.S., we call "loaded potatoes" just baked potatoes with a crap ton of stuff on top, lol! (butter, cheese, sour cream, chives, bacon, whatever!) What you've done (baking them and then doing it again after you've scooped them out and filled them up again) is called "twice baked potatoes" here! Btw, we got an air fryer for Christmas and I'm only NOW getting around to using it, but I want you to know that I'm genuinely enjoying your videos (well, I'm enjoying ALL your videos as you can tell from all the comments I've left, haha) and that I truly appreciate your content! Thank you so much!! ♥
Aahh thank you :) so glad you are enjoying my content :) oh yes we also call our loaded potatoes twice baked potatoes.. they are one of our favourites :) I miss the US and hope we can come back to visit one day soon xxx
I've had a fryer now for a couple of months and, like Kerry, I've hardly touched my oven. Best things I've done so far; haloumi (cubed), polenta chips, whole chicken, it's great for making crispy tofu (why I got it), lamb, veggies, dried cinnamon apples and such - certainly a different experience, but well worth it, efficient too.
Thank you Kerry I love your recipes. You make them so easy and simple looking. Also the volume on your videos is so good I can actually hear you. you don't waste time I love how you just go straight into cooking. Thank you so much I cannot wait to try most of your recipes.
I bought my airfryer last month after watching your last airfryer recipes. I have not stopped using mine its brilliant. Thank you for the new recipes today x
This video made me so hungry and inspired. I cook for one and hearing up an oven makes me cook too much. One person servings in an air fryer this past few weeks led me to your video for recipes. Thank you
Hi Kerry, I just found your channel and I must say that the recipes in this video are the best ones I’ve seen so far for the EVERYDAY cook. I’ve been trying to show a friend of mine how it can really make life easier and I have finally found the video to send her to show her how versatile the air fryer is. Well Done! You just gained a new subscriber! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃
Oh i am so so pleased to read this comment :) thank you :) I have some more videos just like this and more will be coming out soon too :) so glad you enjoyed this video and thank you for sharing too :) xxx
Thanks Kerry I love my air fryer too I’m on my second one. I’ve never cooked a full chicken though as I was afraid it wouldn’t be cooked properly but I’m going to follow your advice and try a small chicken for 40 minutes and also try the lamb burgers and steak and the prawns and mushrooms and jacket potatoes. 👌👌
The chicken came out amazingly :) check it after the 40 mins to make sure it’s cooked through.. if you think it needs a little longer just add 3-5mins on :) it was the juiciest chicken I’ve cooked in ages :) xxx
blending/whizzing/chopping bread up for bread crumbs...love it!! It's been quite a while since I've heard whizzing as the term for that, & it brought quite the smile to my face! Out of curiosity: when you use wooden skewers (for your shrimp/prawns), do you soak them first? If not, have you had any problems w/them charring/burning? I've not tried it before in mine, though I've seen other air fryer users who've said that they've had difficulties & strongly advise soaking the wood first.
Oh I didn’t soak mine but I do when cooking in the bbq so maybe I should start soaking them for the air fryer too! I havnt had any problems so far with them though! I love whizzing things up in my blender!! Hehe! Xxx
These all look great, this is only the second video I've watched on your channel since getting an air fryer, but you've got another subscriber! I chose a 4.2 litre fryer that was on special offer before I knew any better, so I don't think I can do a whole chicken, but there's plenty of other good stuff to try. 😋
Great ideas! Thank you so much for sharing the degrees because my air fryer is very bog standard and now i know exactly how many degrees i have to cook the meat/poultry to get that particular setting. Thank you, more of these please! 🤩
Hello i came from Emma’s channel. I noticed you have your air fryer on your counter top. I have seen photos of worktops cracking due to the high heat. You can place a heavy chopping board or something alike to protect your countertop. Also pull out the AF forwards whilst it’s on to allow air circulation around it. Hope this is helpful to you and anyone else. x
Aahh ok I havnt heard that about the counter too before.. I need to feel mine when I use it :) thanks for the tip.. I’ll definitely check this out :) xxx
Silicone mat works great! However, I had been using my air fryer for 5 months before reading this issue, and my counter was perfect without anything underneath. That said, I have several silicone mats, and decided to start using it.
I can no longer have Sazon, due to having to use natural seasonings, no garlic salt, but garlic olive or rapeseed garlic, but when i could ear Sazon...Wow. That is proper seasoning.
Have been undecided regarding buying an air fryer for a while, but after watching your vlogs on the weekend we bought one. has. We have a prozenic also and looking forward to using your recipes xx
hi love your easy recipes... do you toss/shake or flip chips half way through the cooking process to help with even cook. - only owned my 5.2ltr Ninja for a week
I've always seen sweet potato fries at restaurants, but I've never thought of trying it with butternut squash. Definately going to recomend this to my Family! ☺👍
Bought an airfryer today, staying with my daughter in law in the city, can't wait to get home and start trying it out. Your recipes look delicious. Ty👍
I bought a air fryer based off of your last video not had chance to try it yet but very much looking forward too. Keep coming with any ideas. These are amazing
Think I need to write a letter to Santa for one of these. Do you put the baskets in the dishwasher Kerry? Also, off topic. How have you found your Bosch Oven in your new house?Thinking of making a purchase, but have read mixed reviews.

Loving Kerry's many ideas for the air fryer! For a whole chicken in my 'Gourmia' a/f, I set 30 mins, 180°C (350° F) breast down (and bare leg-end joints removed), then flip to breast-side-up, season, and do 30 mins more, ensuring a cooking thermometer shows 82°C (180° F) minimum within the breast meat by then. Tasty with white, aka _béchamel,_ sauce... or bread sauce.
Hi I just bought one of these fryers today. You have given me some great ideas as I didn't realise you could roast chicken etc. I bought mine to replace a deep fat fryer.. Have a like ;-) x
I too have just bought a Proscenic T21. - so glad I found your tips. One question, how do I use the preheat button? I’m afraid I need every step explaining and the accompanying booklet doesn’t quite cover it for me. Thanks
We are loving your videos & have done quite a few thinks you’ve recommended already.. What the quantities to make the garlic butter marinade for the prawns & mushrooms (we are doing these tonight!) thanks
Really considering buying an air fryer but can you do a whole meal in there? Am thinking if I cook meat then have to seperatly cook chips then the meat will be cold by the time we are eating it? X
With a family of four you can’t fit everything in the air fryer unless you do a tray bake.. so what I usually do is cook the item which takes the longest in the air fryer and the rest on the hob etc.. but if your family is smaller then you could definitely fit it all in here :) xxx
So helpful! Do you ever turn anything over? Going to try and use my airfryer more wouldn't have even thought of doing jacket potatoes thank you so much x Janet
How did your jacket potatoes take 25mins?! I have just got the same air fryer, my potatoes look the same size as your ones and I am currently on 50mins and they still aren't done 😫
Thank you so much for making another air fryer video, mine came last week, so far I’ve only overcooked a chicken breast, made horrible cheese on toast (it didn’t come out like yours) and a successful ham & cheese toasty, having my kitchen decorated so can’t access it at the moment but will definitely be trying some of these, looking forward to the next one already, have a lovely weekend Kerry x
Oh no.. overcooked food is never nice!! Try the chicken the way I did it.. I checked it after the first 20 mins and then again after the next 20 mins and it was perfect.. but if it needs a bit longer then just keep checking it every 2-3 mins or so :) good luck with the redecoration :) xxx
You were right last time.. I absolutely LOVE my air fryer.. Sweet potatos are very good in there too.. Going to try out the prawns and mushrooms.. I use mine on average once per day.. Salmon is delicious in there.. In fact, it’s really good for fish of all types.. It comes out so well and you can throw your veggies in right next to the fish.. I’ve not done a whole chicken yet, but I only have a 3.5 litre.. So it would have to be a little chicken!! Lx
@@KerryWhelpdale Thanks for the swift response. When younger and a lot lighter, I enjoyed deep fried courgettes - battered I think affectionately called "green chips" I guess battered isn't feasible in an air fryer. Finely sliced, compresed into patties, having pressed out excess water, adding flour, egg and breadcumbs is an alternative - but nice as it is, the samll chip sized courgette was always (for me) best. How would you prepare? Could you do a video focussing on air fryer Pros and cons you and your family found - cons smell? steam emission, noise, counter space. Pros guess Time - reduced power consumption/lower energy use per dish/serving - general cost cost saving, reduced portion sizes? less calories per serving, better flavour? The last is personal to you and yout family. You have so much information and presented by a very elegant lady with a great voice and understandable diction, it is a real pleasure to watch. Again my sincere thanks.
