You’re welcome! My field of study is software engineering as for the test, I don’t remember cause it was two years ago (can’t believe how time is flying) but it was mostly 8/9 for each category.

Did you have a cxc cape diploma or associate degree? If so did you validate them so you could choose the 2 or more certificate option and get more points?
It doesn’t count as a diploma. Tried to but it’s not recognized.

Hey can you give some insight on how the check your credentials ? Do u need to show them all your previous academic awards such as high school diploma etc or just your last degree ?

Google a "CRS Tool"... Canada.ca has a great one to help you break it down.

I always online doing research and I was home Saturday searching for overseas jobs and saw Canada 🇨🇦 express just pop up in my eyes and I sign up immediately.. and I got a call from Canada express this morning at 9:33am . I was like 😳.. just keeping my fingers crossed 🤞..

Did they specify what is required for the medical and can you do your medical at any medical institution? do you have to be in Jamaica to get your passport stamp ?
Thanks for watching. There is a list of doctors that they will share with you. It’s on the government website. The medical consists of a consultation, x-ray and blood test. And no, you don’t have to be in Jamaica, you can send it via courier or you can ask them if you could send it to the closest Visa Application Centre (VAC)

I have heard that it takes a while before you get a date for the IELTS exam in Jamaica. Can you say how long it took from the time you registered to the time that you actually got a date to do the exam?
I booked my date in August and the date for the exam was December. Because of Covid I believe they limit the number of persons

@@IamFunsize they have a list of approved doctors in each country that they accept reports from. So depending on your parish check their website.

As a fellow Jamaican living Canada. My suggestion save your money, come to Canada as student and just do a 8 months course and get a foot in the door……

They say do not do less than 2 years because once you do a short time it's tricky to get the work permit cause however long you study that's how long you will get on the work permit

I signed up for express entry and got a call. Was told I needed around $500 CAD to start the process and it would cost about $7000 in total. No sure how legitimate that is
Definitely a scam.
@@Shelone I thought so. I was sent a link via email to put my banking information while in the phone(I entered the wrong number in purpose) and They said they would contact me again tomorrow.
Also did you guys use a lawyer or you just did it on your own

Why would they want IELTS? You are a native English speaker and your degree was taught in English😳.
It's a requirement to prove that your proficient in either English or French since those are the official languages of Canada.
