In my opinion it is a car that still makes sense, you have to look for it well to find one in good condition. For the rest, simple maintenance. Obviously aware of the maintenance cost. Ideal for those who travel many kilometers on the motorway and want to travel comfortably and quickly, perhaps as a second car, until diesel engines are banned.

Even better if you have parking sensors but even without parking sensors practice will make you perfect and then every time you get in a smaller car you will think its a go cart. I daily drive an opel astra G and every time i drive my sisters fiat 500 i park with one move 😂 So if you daily drive an A8 every time you get in a car like a 3 series or a 5 series you will laugh at how easy it is to park. Im not perfect at parking but having my drivers license for only 3 months i can say im a lot better than people who drive cars like a smart or a vw up. They get in a car like an astra g (not a big car but also not a small car) and they think they are in a truck 😂😂😂😂
I feel like I’m the only one who utilized my shifter on this car. Everyone always keeps it in sport mode 🙄 you get so much more pull using your shifter

i am literally watching this video as i am thinking of using this V8 engine to swap the original 999cc engine in my 1988 Fiat Panda 4x4. yes you read that right. originally going to use a BMW N57 inline 6 cylinder engine but they are very hard to find in the UK. the Audi V8 4.0L engine is easy to find though. to be fair i am technically engine swapping a Suzuki SJ.. as i will just sit the panda shell on top of the SJ chassis ;) still going to be interesting with that engine though.
No it’s not they are actually quite easy. I own one and do all repairs and the engine is pretty straight forward and very easy to access. There’s not a million coolant hoses and cables overlapping the engine bay like bmws (cough cough)

@@TheRazvy1990 you are right about the turbos and timing chain. Another thing about these cars is the fuel injection ports. They collect a lot of carbon due to it being direct fuel injection. Usually after 60,000 miles you will see misfires and if your coils are good it indicates the issue. You have to remove the whole intake and walnut blast every port. Other than that it is very reliable and it will last well over 200,000 miles if you do detailed preventive maintenance.
Most beautiful is still old school first one s8 manual ❤… what I don’t like is that they have never change automatic gear knob and was looking so outdated while bmw had that nice short little gear knob. Even in the 5 series. So interior was next 10+ years almost the same.

Here in greece i found 2 D3 Audi A8s for under 6K euros meanwhile clean golf 5s cost 5-7k. People sell these cars for dirt cheap cause they cant afford to spend 2-3-4k a year on maintaning the car. They buy them thinking its a 6k car so it should have cheap bills but actually originaly it was a 100k car and the maintenance costs are for a 100k car.
Interior from 2002 but still looks relatively modern. One of the best A8 designs, its timeless.
