Yea that sounds farfetched. Miquella just does not understand the complexity of what he's trying to do. It's just a child's dream. He wants to bring a world of compassion, yet he discards his love compassionate side.
He chooses Radahn because of his kindness and compassion. Yet he has him killed and sends Malenia. Malenia fails and unleashes the scarlet rot to stop Radahn killing countless people and Radahn becomes a rot zombie. The tarnished completes the job.
Why does he want him killed? He wants to resurrect Radahn so he can control him. He uses Mohg so he can die and use his remains to resurrect a brainwashed Radahn.
Mohg is someone who never got compassion throughout his life. Shunned as child for being an Omen along with his brother because they served as a reminder of the people who genocided Marika's people, put them in jars. And Miquella puts him under his spell just for him to die.
Miquella is just a child with childish aspirations. He never gave compassion to himself and nor his brothers. The irony of it. He was forever doomed to fail. Maybe that was his curse. A child that does not understand the suffering of the world truly. Instead of actually creating an age of compassion, he would only create a prison for himself, since his Godhood would be achieved in false pretenses.
St. Trina knows this and killing him is the most logical course of action.

My theory is Melina isn't mentioned because there are 2 things that can happen: either she sacrifices herself or she doesn't. They both are EXTREMELY different and have different variables to them, and I imagine they just found it too difficult to work it into the story for both ends. Would have been nice of course

Don't remember which update introduced it 1.03 I think? Also quest like patches got it's conclusion in one update(if one did not kill him😅)
I think there was more subtle changes.
Nepheli's quest had no conclusion originally ethier until later updates.
Same with Diallios and Kenneth.
So player had patience for conclusions or did not expect them until patch said otherwise🤣 but as said all these was added in later updates. That is why I wonder if dlc will get same treatment?

Actually not a bad theory though I'm not sure how much evidence backs it up, but the minor erdtree spell she uses is there at the little tree.
There is a dialogue for Miquella which suggests secret ending, perhaps involving the Let Us Go Together gesture. I myself couldn't find anything that would unlock this ending, not even sure if it is activatable. However I think that there might be more to the Scadutree Chalice given that it's the only major part of the map that doesn't seem to have any content tied to it. Given that in trailers there is a cutscene of Miquella healing the Scadutree and it seems to be pretty close to it too, this must be the key area to unlock this ending. What parameters are needed for it tho is not something I could figure out.

I used the gesture there post final boss, nothing happened. I’ve heard that nothing happens during the final boss either. I’ve also heard that dataminers have found nothing on it.
If it’s in the game, it’ll take a while to be discovered, that’s for sure. Keep being creative I say. I doubt it’ll have anything to do with the base game tho
The dlc is as it is. This is not how formsoft dlcs work. The emote you are talking about is what happens when u get grabbed twice in the final boss fight and ur character gets his heart stolen. But it’s just different text and animation for a death. There is no other ending, if there was people would have found it out by now

I think it's clear why it was cut. It wouldn't make sense for st Trina to thank us for killing miquella since they are one and the same. So st trina must also simultaneously perish, just like Marika/Radagon.
I don't think so, Radaon and Marika seem to just switch when either wants to come out, like we see when Marika falls from her crucifixion only for Radagon to rise and take his hammer. I think the whole thing of Miquella removing all of his wordly self (including his "destiny" i.e. Trina), it's no longer a part of him. It's made all the more strange that Trina was almost intentionally abandoned at the lowest point in the Realm of Shadow where no living thing resides, and is protected by a Putrescent Knight. It's so no one could ever be close to learn of what he truly was or did. And if killing Miquella meant killing Trina, why wouldn't Trina just ask you to kill her right there since she's already saying you must kill Miquella?

@@anthonymcgill473 They are not the same anymore but they are obviously still linked togheter: the most immediate explaination is that Miquella is the "main/original" persona and thus killing him effectively kills both, but not the other way around

I wish that Trina was dying instead of fully dead if we go to see her right after Miquella, and that we'd be able to imbibe her nectar one last time to get this dialogue, with her being dead when we respawn. It'd give a lot more closure to the dlc.

They always do that. There’s so much from Dark Souls that was cut that was pretty cool.
Really game developers in general do it a lot. I can’t even begin to list the amount of games that have a lot of sick ideas that they cut entirely or replace with inferior versions on release.
03:00 what exactly are people confused about? Melina is specifically been mentioned as the "younger sister" of Messmer, which means she could have easily been born much later after Messmer. They are not twins.

She wasn't specifically mentioned. That was a rumour, they never changed it.
We learn that Melina is the younger sister and I’ll bet she was “born” just before the events of the main game. I wonder if Messmer even knows about her. He’s been in the land of shadow cut off from everything and everyone in the lands between since the hornsent genocide. Melina never appears in the DLC regardless of your progression in the base game. Probably because she herself doesn’t have access to the land of shadow. Miquella had to do quite a bit to gain access and I doubt Melina could even get there. We only gain access THROUGH Miquella.
I'm not trying to be a hater but I simply have to say that I am plumb sick of Fromsoftwares extremely annoying tendency to cut awesome content from their games with the greatest example coming to mind being the super dark storyline of Kale finding out his people were sealed underground due to the golden orders fear of the frenzied flame. I seriously can't believe they'd cut something out which served to flesh out their world and make a super forgettable character into a truly memorable one and worst of all the quest was already completely finished lol.
I feel like they will make one more dlc. Or i guess they can make elden ring 2…

They are inevitably going to make a sequel to this very successful game they have literally done it for every other game that had a Souls formula minus bloodborne which they only didn't do because Sony wouldn't let them

Yeah, St. Trina straight up sounds like she's dying (more so than the pain she's usually in because she got tossed off a cliff) in that cut audio file so it wouldn't make sense if it was left in the game. Still though, really good video! I'm really happy I found your content! :)
There’s melina’s dialogue at the bonfire in the dlc, she is telling you that you don’t have to kill mesmer to get kindling. It happens if you get the bonfire after killing saint of the bud if you don’t burn the erdtree before that

Man it feels like the 2nd and 3rd quote hint really feels like you *CAN* turn him into a God and there is a hidden ending. I really hope there is man, Cut content from Fromsoft rarely ever feels needed.
So yeah, the Gloam Eyed Queen is like Velka in the Dark Souls series: a fascinating and enigmatic character that will never be seen or be expanded more.

Miyazaki said there's no new ending to avoid confusion with continuity of the base game,which is bs since it's already confusing and the continuity should already be distorted considering how Major the events of the dlc are.

@@vegitoda4738 the DLC is difficult and scaled past base game for gameplay purposes but I think it’s pretty clear that visiting the realm of shadow is supposed to happen late game, probably around the time just before or after you burn the erdtree. The timeline isn’t explicitly laid out as that isn’t how fromsoft does things, but it’s not as convoluted as you’re suggesting. There’s no reason for the DLC to distort anything because Miquella is just another challenge / rival to conquer before you bring about a new order.

i wonder if theres any cut content related to glom-eyed queen that people can dig up. I love the gameplay of the DLC, combat, world, bosses, mechanics are cool. But story feel rushed and lore is just castrated.
Isn't DLC (in timeline) set after our character becomes Elden lord? I mean, If that's the case then it would make sense why there isn't melina-Or, Atleast, DLC is set in timeline after Melina has been burned, Meaning Tarnished was at endgame During DLC.

Probably that dialogue was for when you killed Miquella and returned to St. Trina, when she wasn't dead. But they thought that it would make more sense for her to die as he does, so she obviously could not keep these voice lines. My theory lol

Honestly, I think Melina IS the Gloam Eyed Queen, and is cursed just like all of Marikas kids. Messmer was born with the curse of the flaming abyssal serpent, whose flame could easily destroy Marikas erdtree. And with snakes representing taboo and betrayal, I wouldn't be surprised if Messmers curse was a parallel to Marikas original sin of betrayal. I think the Gloam Eyed Queen is an aspect of Melina that was sealed by Marika, much like Messmers abyssal serpent.
Messmer was cursed with a flame that represented the potential betrayal of burning her new Erdtree. Melina was cursed with a flame that had the potential to not only burn the Erdtree but kill a god like Marika herself.
And I think that the rune of death was sealed both to protect Marika herself and to dampen the power of that flame, especially should Melina break that seal like Messmer does.

I’ve watched plenty of lore videos by now about shadow of the Erdtree, and I still don’t understand who St. Trina is, and how she is significant to the story or how she died.
the cut stuff in the dlc makes me feel like it should have, unfortunately, been delayed another 2-ish months for the story aspects specifically, like radahn, mesmer, melina, st trina, and maybe the side rememberance bosses. A lot seemed tk vague or just put there for the sake of it.
So I was right, St. Trina IS the GEQ! All makes sense now.

@@ezkeIthe gloam eyed queen is a pivotal character in the base game. Considering that we are going to Marika’s origins and a boss was once called a knight for the gloam eyed queen, it leaves a lot of questions.
My theory is that St Trina is Miquellas regret, St Trina has the same ability of Miquella but the process takes the people inflicted to be put to sleep which in some cases can kill the person but not the Putrescent Knight because this knight is a product of amalgamation of Those Who Live in Death (because they cant die) and St Trina's nectar, you can tell because this boss can use Ghostflame spells, likewise this Knight wasn't solely as a purpose to defend St Trina but also a weapon to kill Miquella. That's why when you get to Cerulean Coast there's a whole bunch of crashed ships everywhere even until St Trina's chamber, I believe St Trina has the same allure that Miquella has and used the Grave Violets scattered in the lands between to lure them to set sail so St Trina can amass an army to fight against Miquella, regardless of how they get there dead or alive (mariners can turn them into undead), St Trina has the ability to turn them into his soldiers (just like how Miquella can make anyone do his bidding), likewise while also using the Tibia Mariner's to bring the dead to her place, this is why they hang out in the watery areas and graves, this was probably the fastest way they can transport as many dead bodies in graves. This is why her entire area is riddled with so much graves, when Miquella learned about this he probably sealed her in the deepest depths to not continue her work, furthermore Miquella probably started the creation of the Gravebirds to deter St Trina's works that is why you see them all around the map specifically on graves to prevent Those Who Live in Death to go to St Trina. The colors Blue and Red create Purple/Violet furthermore implying that St Trina was split by Miquella, also Miquella did show up to the southern areas because the only 2 Miquella's cross are there and these abandon Miquella's "doubt and vaccilation" and "love" so St Trina was his compassion and rational thinking. The only way to open that seal is to approach the Gate of Shadow keep which also has the only cross where he "abandoned his arm dextral" or his right hand, which I assume was the key to the Shadow of the Erdtree and you know that arm in that cocoon in Mohgwyn palace is a right hand means that St Trina was the one calling out to you, she leads you to the keep where Mesmer resides and the only flame that can burn the sealing tree in Old Rauh Ruins. Before reaching there, you must beat Romina, Saint of the Bud who is probably a worshipper to Malenia who is guarding sealing tree, this sealing tree is probably something that Marika planted to hide the Scadutree and when she left that piece of her hair the Golden Braid and proceeded to shatter the Elden Ring commiting the original sin. Miquella is just trying to finish what his mother started and become a god of a new order outside the influence of the outer gods that punished his mother.

Wow! Miquella’s identity as the GEQ would actually fit some of the lore. He is one of one of only 3 demigod Empyreans according to Ranni and we know the GEQ was also an empyrean. Also odd tidbit is Melania was named the “queen in red” according to development files. Her twin, Miquella, could have been the mysterious “queen in black” (prior name for GEQ).
They probably will make a gloom eyed queen/godskin/black flame dlc that why she is not mentioned

It does feel that way, lack luster and quite disappointing,but then again Souls series is all about being vague and mysterious,i hope there's gonna be another dlc in the future(i know they said this is the last one).
miquella was cursed with eternal childhood, this isnt just a physical condition. he is a bratty child that moves on from one obsession to the other. Plus he, like marika, split off a part of themselves. Radagon was Marika's pride and Saint Trina was Miquella's compassion. Without compassion for the world or for his sister he now views her as a failed experiment and sees other people (like a shitty child would) as toys for his own gain and amusement. thats why he was able to use mohg, radahn, and everyone else without feeling a damned thing.
he saw radahn as the only person in the world left who was strong enough to bring his vision, i.e. radahn held FATE back in his commanding of the stars, and he beat the one person miquella looked up to more than anyone: His badass sister Malenia.
Knowing this, and knowing radahn was poisoned and sickened, Miquella saw a plan to bring forth his "age of compassion" or whatever the fuck it is by bringing back the strongest demigod to ever live and imbuing him with immense power to further increase his strength.

The point is if Miquella wanted the godhood, he would have taken Marika's place but he knew that not even divinity could heal his sister or his condition. Moreover he would be trapped for eternity, not being able to see his sister again, who is his life reason.

The base game spends a lot of items telling us he is wise, smart, pure and far-sighted, so I don't believe this bullshit of him being a jack ass who can just throw everything away. Malenia and Miquella are like Radagon and Marika. They feel incomplete alone and they need each other. There is LOVE, something that Miquella would never feel for Radahn.
Also I can't drink the shiet that Miquella can randomly resurrect people. This isn't dark souls, we cannot put souls into the bodies. There are those who live in death (undeads) and the only ones who can resurrect people are the power of the erdtree and the 3 fingers with the frenzied flame (Irina - Hyetta; Yura - Shabriri).

The radahn's festival is an epic battle to the death and WE are the winners, not him, so at least we should "marry" Miquella. He died like a true soldier with dignity!

Radahn just liked war and would not like to usher in a permanent peace. So Miquella needed Malenia to kill Rahdan so he could have a strong sword to carry out his will
