I have first hand experience with this. A few years ago, my area (I live near Delhi international airport! I can see the airport from my terrace) had no water. It still does not. But I have experienced this. There used to be fights and abuse. I have left classes just to get one extra bucket of water. It's so hard to even get 2 buckets. And even water tanker drivers sell water to others sometimes! But I visited vasant vihar once. That posh area, where everyone had a bungalow, was washing their cars with clean water -using pipes. They left their water pipe on with water just wasting like that. Even asking them to at least shut it off made them angry. I was there standing with 4 buckets of water at my home and there they were where they just used 10 buckets just there.
It's not a good feeling to be underprivileged.

This might be controversial but hear me out, I feel people are well aware that standard of living in big cities is sky high, and people should think before urban migration as they are not able to get basic habitation even after earning a living in these cities.
That being said the government should provide job opportunities in small towns
What is more important? Highest statue or Running water for people?

There are so many people with no water & they still want to have children even god can't help if humans don't do their part in solving their problems. This is like praying to get A+ grade in the exam without studying 🗿

This is slums situation every where, tankers delivering water is leaking most of time because they are very old so that's why it reaches half to these people. These people can privately arrange tanker but they depend on free service from government. Government already gave them soo much freebies in election process so now no budget left to improve these things. Some of these people are not poor because when they marry their daughters you can see how much money they spend on it, it is more then what a middle class family are doing. But still they live in slums as they are used to enjoy free benefits.

If Civic body somehow Supply water to their tap, again they will get used to it and will never get out of the problems and Increase their Population.
