I like the reminder of building healthy soil- this is something most all of us can do no matter how small our yard, back porch, or local park. I plan on being in my garden today practicing dangerous wisdom. :)
This is all so frighteningly true and instead of evolving, we insist on destroying ourselves for the short term gains. We must wake up and act immediately.
Does not one drop of the ocean have the same properties as the ocean? Each good deed. Each loving thought. Every kind gesture. Every smile. Each hug. Each warm compassion given to another all adds to the soup of consciousness surrounding us. Your thoughts send vibrations out into the ether. What thoughts are you sending back out to the universsal mind? Man`s connection with the cosmos has yet to be understood and taught properly to humanity, But, there is a connection. One that we take for granted. As above, so below. As within so without. What happens on the microcosm, happens on the macrocosm. You reap what you sow. And humanity is reaping what we have sown. It is not anyone else`s fault but our own.
Answer to your first question is of course it doesn't - one drop of ocean does not have the same properties as a "the" ocean (you didn't define which one but I guess you were probably thinking of the whole body of water you observe on your map). To answer your second question you need to provide a definition for the term "universal mind" and how do you think one sends their thoughts "back" to it.
@@betrion7 One drop of the ocean has the same properties as the ocean. Please do not get technical over this statement. It is metaphorically speaking, of course. But the message is true. I will not be able to answer the second question. As one who is on the path has to discern for themselves what exactly that means to them. But to me, it is universal consciousness. The all that is. God. Our vibrations create frequencies, which emits out to the cosmos and connects to universal mind. every soul has a cord attached to our higher self and spirit. Without it we would not be able to think and would be plant like, not human and we would have no awareness of self. I am not saying what I am saying is truth. But it is what I can explain on here through words as most of this information can only be understood clairvoyantly with spiritual insight. If this is an interest to you I would recommend Rudolf Steiner.Thousands of books and lectures on here to read and listen to. I have made it maybe halfway through his hundreds of books and lectures.

I am up against what truly helps me understand compassion and adaptation to love and wisdom. Perhaps an "insane" world is what helps me accept the countless levels of mental health.
The old saying goes, "No mud, no lotus." At the same time, true wisdom and compassion prompts us to take action, to help the world, and to further the conditions of life. A great deal of our suffering is gratuitous, and degrading the conditions of life is insane. If we root ourselves in wisdom, love, and beauty, life will present all the challenges and inspirations we need to evolve and to realize our fullest potentials. Ignorance will always make suffering more manifest, and make our fuller potentials more hidden. Thanks for watching, and thank you for your thoughtful reflections 🌈🐎
• Suggestions, replace: • "must" by "truly need", • "democracy" by "only making high level decisions that entail ALL the decisions necessary to overcome insurmountable protests" , • "we" by "I". • Note that “must” implies coercion. “Truly need” is a conviction that could be an opening to have a dialogue which enables a cocreation of reality. • Note that democracy is based on "divide & conquer" or "the terror of the majority". When everybody can be satisfied with high level decisions there's much more space for local decision making. To determine whether to centralize or to decentralize, can be done by being aware of whether it's feasible to decide on a high level or whether first of all decisions need to be made at lower levels. That even counts for decisions how we deal with our perceptions of the laws of nature and the way we live. A practical example: people living in Alaska have determined many types of "snow". Compared to that, in Holland it's almost always just "snow". • To use "I" in stead of "we" is necessary because everything boils down to my own experience, feelings, thoughts and behaviour and the way I respond to myself and others. Here's a list of basic responses from no connection to myself and others to fully connected: • to freeze, • to flee, • to fight and • to constructively connect. To get fully connected with my environment, starts by being connected to myself. • Moreover, the way to handle fear (especially the mother of all fears: "shortage / scarcity") is directly related to the degree of connection I experience with myself and my environment. • To be able to move like a swallow in a swarm I first need to take care of my own flight, then of the unwritten laws of nature in the swarm and then of the unwritten laws of the environment that we need to live. • True change germinates "bottom up" and the forces that support this are the forces that conform to the laws of nature.
Thank you for watching, Rob, and thank you for your sincere reflections 🙏 The dance of nonduality presents challenges to thought and language. The way out is in---as you point out---and at the same time, the way in is out ;-) The philosopher Dogen gets at that in countless ways, including this most famous passage: "To carry the self forward to verify myriad things is delusion. That myriad things come forth and verify the self is enlightenment. ". . . . To study [to practice] LoveWisdom is to study [to practice] the self. To study the self is to forget the self. To forget the self is to be verified by all things. When verified by myriad beings, your body and mind and the body and mind of myriad beings fall away. A traceless trace of verification [realization] remains-ungraspable. The traceless trace of verification expresses itself without end." (translation adapted from Waddell and Abe) A bird in the sky can only fly well in nonduality with the sky. There is no way for the bird to take care of their own flight without the sky, or without all their ancestors and all the other beings of our world. They fly by means of a "we" that stands in nonduality with "I". Similarly, our thinking alone in a room is not the thinking of life. When we think fully together with the world, we experience our inspiration as inspiration. Of our very highest accomplishments, we say, "I didn't do that myself. It came THROUGH me." It's not easy to transcend the duality between self and world, individual and collective. And a thriving world depends on biological and spiritual diversity---including diversity of perspective and expression. So thank you for sharing yours :-) Language choices aside, friend, it seems we agree deeply in spirit, and we enjoy the common ground of wisdom, love, and beauty. Thank you again for watching, for your thoughtful reflections, and for your practice of life! 🌈🐎
@@dangerouswisdom314 Thanks for your reaction. We do agree deeply in spirit. When I wrote my suggestions, I unintentionally had kept that implicit. 😄 With regards to nonduality I also like to share with you an epiphany during a rough period in my life in 2016. It provides me an infinite sense of freedom. Not all the time. Still, it does when I need it 😃🍀 Summarized in Dutch text: Naast ‘WAAR' en 'niet WAAR' is er 'niet WAARGENOMEN'. Translated to English: Besides "TRUE" and "not TRUE, there's "not PERCEIVED". I have depicted this in my logo. That's a more elaborate summary. Later I discovered that I most probably unconsciously combined the philosophy of Yin/Yang from the east with Kleene Logic from the west. Alas I cannot attach it in some way in my reaction via TH-cam. I'll send you an email. My logo is in my signature. When that mailbox doesn't exist anymore, here's a description. For comparison, Yin/Yang = “In white is a black dot and in black is white dot and black and white exist inextricably together. My symbol = “The Yin/Yang is opened and floats in yellow. The opening in the original Yin/Yang symbol has the same shape as the white and black shape have in the original Yin/Yang symbol. BUT, in white is a black dot and a yellow dot. In black is a white dot and a yellow dot, and in the opening are a black dot and a white dot. As such, black, white and yellow exist inextricably together where yellow infinitely envelops the opened Yin/Yang symbol. Note that yellow is merely a choice out of the infinite number of choices available in the colour spectrum. Anyway, existence is not just black or white. It provides an infinite amount of possibilities that are not perceived. When they are perceived, they become either "a black experience" or a "white experience". And if it becomes a black one, immediately there occurs a seemingly opposite white one beside it. Within the black one there’s a small set of white experiences. And within the white one there’s a small set of black experiences. There also occurs the infinite number of alternative experiences / colours that are there to be distracted from insurmountable contradictions that one encounters during life.
@@RobBroekhof Wonderful, Rob :-) Thank you for sharing 🙏 Brings to mind many associations, including the gankyil, the wheel of joy or wheel of primordial energy from Tibetan culture. The three elements (sometimes more than three) have many associations in the Buddhist philosophical traditions: teachers, spiritual friends, and the teachings (or, as Gary Snyder puts it, teachers, friends, and the wild); ground, path, and fruition; view, meditation, action; and many more. Of course, the logic of that tradition includes the tetralemma, and the suggestion that we find four possibilities: A, not-A, both A and not-A, neither A nor not-A. Nagarjuna shows again and again that life submits to none of these four. I appreciate the suggestion you make: True, not-True, and not-Perceived. It has a richness in it. Psychologically or spiritually, we find the important notion of the unthought known---things that some aspect of us knows, but which the conscious ego will not allow us to fully recognize and to think. In general, and perhaps most importantly, we don't perceive the subtle interwovenness of all things, and therefore we trample on that interwovenness, breaking precious threads of connectedness in the process. Thus our global situation. Thanks again for sharing that lovely image, and for doing your part to help the whole. 🙏🌈🐎

With regards to "In general, and perhaps most importantly, we don't perceive the subtle interwovenness of all things, and therefore we trample on that interwovenness, breaking precious threads of connectedness in the process. Thus our global situation", I recognize that "trampling". I always say: "We need to minimize trampling. And that's a big challenge since we cannot do without "trampling". An example: With every step I take, I may litterly destroy colonies of living things that I cannot perceive while I walk.". As such I have shared a short two-page essay with you to your email address called: "Visiualize your own vision", so in potentially everyone can do their part to help the whole. ...we may long for the day to start from scratch on the whole sense of the matter.., emotionally, mentally and espiritually... (i guess that day is... today... now)...
I am familiar with both---and they are philosophies! Steiner's basic view is not so different from Plato's (that we can follow a path to spiritual knowledge). Bionynamics is a philosophy of agriculture. Remember: Philosophy is how we do things. We have philosophies of friendship, art, parenting, and everything else. When we name them (e.g., calling a philosophy of agriculture "biodynamics"), we may think we have left philosophy behind. We haven't. But you are certainly right that if we think of philosophy as merely intellectual, and somehow disconnected with practical things like how we feed ourselves, then it would be a lot less useful ;-) However, true philosophy concerns itself with practical things, and how to fulfill our highest potential, holistically considered. Thanks for watching!
@@Ninof33 Right . . . it came from a stock database, and since it was copyright free, I don't even recall if there was an identified artist, or, if so, who it was :-)
Humanity achieved a great amount of knowledge since the discovery of making fire. And it added up until today. Wisdom doesn't add up. It gets lost if a human dies. If wisdom would add up and could get stored such as knowledge, there would be no war, anymore, no murdering, , less hate, more righteousness and less selfishness, less ignorance and greed. But it seems like, humanity has achieved the wisdom of 1 person only, because it always gets lost, when a person dies. There is stored wisdom, in philosophy and religious writings, but these don't have a big effect for humanity in total.
Wisdom can transform culture---sometimes suddenly, and sometimes slowly. For instance, at the founding of the U.S., people accepted enslavement, and the political system was even more restricted than today. We don't yet have a full democracy, but we have recognized the ignorance of slavery and the ignorance of limiting participation in politics to men. Before the arrival of Europeans, the Peacemaker brought wisdom and a radical change to the peoples of warring tribes, the tribes who became the Haudenosaunee. Again, sometimes these changes seep in slowly, and we must make room for human fallibility. But, if a culture were to ROOT itself in wisdom, love, and beauty, and focus education on the cultivation of these, we might see a more vitalizing developmental path for both that culture and its citizens. Even on a small scale, loving parents can help their children grow up relatively free of certain forms of ignorance that may have burdened them in their own childhood. A major reason the wisdom stored in our traditions has so little impact is because patterns of ignorance in the culture keep us away from them. The wisdom traditions represent the largest untapped cultural resource we have, and if we begin to tap into them, we can transform ourselves and our world for the better. Thank you for watching! And thank you for trying to think through these challenging and important matters 🙏🐎
@@NomadBlack Roger Waters wrote it 50 years ago on the "Dark Side of the moon" in In all of the songs the perhaps greatest lyrics about humanity and society. He is questioning the so called sanity of our society, which infact is madness. Pretty obvious madness. Please read these lyrics. Sadly enough It didn't change a thing.
@@keep_walking_on_grass Sounds like the lyrics changed you. That's a start. Also, what about the dark side of the Earth? Without the light of the Sun, we'd all live in permanent night. And yeah, society is madness. So what? At least you can see it. Think about the people that can't see it. Don't you think they suffer the consequences? A good message is something people hunger for---especially if it's not just empty, feel-good slogans. We all have a basic goodness, a basic sanity in us that longs for us to realize our fullest potential and bring the great gifts, mysteries, and magic of life to fruition. If we work together, we can help a good message get where it needs to go. Thank you for watching, Dawn!
Excellent philosophy 👌 Thankyou. Unfortunately, the power structures in place from our current dominant philosophy/economy mean that to pursue this path often results in reducing our potential to shift the zeitgeist. I wish I could see a personal pathway forward.
Thank you for watching, Shannon, and thank you for your sincere reflections 🙏Yes indeed, the pattern of insanity (or, structures of power) have a firm hold on us, and conquest consciousness has infected our minds and bodies in ways we cannot always see. We may unintentionally perpetuate certain forms of duality, injustice, aggression, and so on that we consciously or intellectually disagree with. The path discussed in the video definitely seeks to maximize our potential to shift the zeitgeist :-) Part of the challenge involves transcending the duality between the personal and the impersonal, the individual and the collective. In that sense, we don't really consider a "personal" path in a more limited sense. At the same time, we each have an utter uniqueness that doesn't alter our fundamental equality and interwovenness. Philosophy, or LoveWisdom, thus involves an intimacy that arises as personal, interpersonal, transpersonal, ecological, and downright magical (in the best sense of the term). It has to do with a participatory and co-creative orientation to the whole of life---an entrance into the great mystery itself, right here and now, responsive to the context and the needs of the whole community of life. Together, we can shift those obdurate structures, healing self and world at the same time. Thanks again for watching---and for your practice of a compassionate heart 🌈🐎
Yes, we can certainly think of humans as young in some way. It depends on what we mean by ignorant. If we lack wisdom, or lack functional access to a wisdom indigenous to our own soul, then we can think of that as ignorance. If we cannot perceive the subtle spiritual and ecological realities which we nevertheless must respect, we can think of that as ignorance too. Ignorance doesn't equate to evil, but the wisdom traditions tend to see evil as a potential consequence of ignorance, and never a potential consequence of true wisdom. To the extent that we still have violence, injustice, and all manner of gratuitous suffering in the world, we can think of that as having a cause: ignorance. But, we needn't get caught up in technicalities. The main thing we can probably both agree on is that, if we root ourselves in wisdom, love, and beauty, we can mature spiritually and realize our fullest potential. Thank you for watching! 🙏🌈🐎
Yep. The way out is in. And also, if we relate skillfully with nature, the way in is out! That's not easy. But if we practice well, in and out become a nondual reality. Thanks for watching 🙏
Women can be dangerous wisdom---magical, marvelous, dangerous wisdom :-) Practice wisdom, love, and beauty, and it will make the foundation of an incredible relationship. After all, we need the wisdom that not only attracts the right partner, but helps us to recognize them and love them in the best ways possible. Wisdom, love, and beauty go totally together. Thanks for watching!
Isn't art Humanity? What makes us human is what we do how do we give of ourselves if not to art? Expression is essential. Wasn't God a carpenter that is an art. No I agree so far after the art part. We all have expressions. Some of us feel more than others. Some of us are flying by seats. But that's funny Manatee is? Love is what drives the world. Learning things I don't believe are horrible. Maybe they obscure you? If I even know what it scared means. I have to look it up but I know the word somehow. I don't think that God made us perfect for reason. I think you might have made us that way? To see our souls. If you can help just one person in life what would it be worth? I don't think any of us want to really do harm? I think deep down we're all good? Some of us more good than others? But we all have potential. A lot of people leave with their heart that was their head. And sometimes it's good to learn but sometimes you can learn too much. And get your head spin. I think God wants us to learn? I think that we do need old ways. I don't know what's good or bad anymore sometimes question myself. But questions are good. I don't think learning is evil? Not good or bad? Who knows I don't I'm no philosopher.
I love your video and wisdom, but here’s the problem. I’m afraid there’s no hope. Life’s major problems/society’s problems are NOT going to change. And you know why? Because there’s not ENOUGH people on this planet that are awakened. In fact, I would say most people on this planet are dumb, selfish, asleep, self absorbed, and unwise. There’s too many of them and too little of us. There is no hope.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your sincere reflections :-) We may also keep in mind that water at -2 degrees centigrade is solid, offering no indication that it will give, that it will do anything but resist and remain solid. Water at -1 degrees is solid. Water at 0 degrees is solid, still offering no indication that it will do anything but remain stuck. Suddenly, just over 0 degrees . . . FLOW! Such a phase shift may come, and we can remain open to its possibility, and actively engaged in making space for it. Many of the great sages tell us that, at the very place where we give up hope---that place opens a possibility. Socrates taught us to arrive at this place, this place of not-knowing. In Greek, it is called aporia, which means, no passage, no way forward. We give up hope. Dr. King, who revered Socrates and could quote Plato as easily as the Bible, would have had this in mind when he said, “When our days become dreary with low-hovering clouds of despair, and when our nights become darker than a thousand midnights, let us remember that there is a creative force in this universe, working to pull down the gigantic mountains of evil, a power that is able to make a way out of no way and transform dark yesterdays into bright tomorrows. Let us realize the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.” Thank you again for watching, and for your appreciation of the great challenge we face. Beyond hope and fear, something wondrous can emerge 🌈🐎
You're joking, right? No hope? Seriously? You ever read the Bible? Why do you think Jesus Christ is still hanging around? You try getting rid of him, Go on. You kill him. They tried that way back then... ...and what happened? It didn't work. It never does. Be careful telling people that God loves everyone. They may kill you too. Sounds like you are waking up. Have a little faith. God has your back. He always did. Some things never change. Trust Him.
The Light of Wisdom and Understanding dispels the darkness of ignorance and folly.

This is all so frighteningly true and instead of evolving, we insist on destroying
ourselves for the short term gains.

Thanks for watching, and thank you for your thoughtful reflections

Desire is beyond the means of all that is .
• Suggestions, replace:
• "must" by "truly need",
• "democracy" by "only making high level decisions that entail ALL the decisions necessary to overcome insurmountable protests" ,
• "we" by "I".
Here's a list of basic responses from no connection to myself and others to fully connected:
• to freeze,
• to flee,
• to fight and
• to constructively connect.
The way out is in---as you point out---and at the same time, the way in is out ;-)
The philosopher Dogen gets at that in countless ways, including this most famous passage:
"To carry the self forward to verify myriad things is delusion.
The traceless trace of verification expresses itself without end." (translation adapted from Waddell and Abe)
A bird in the sky can only fly well in nonduality with the sky.
It came THROUGH me."
It's not easy to transcend the duality between self and world, individual and collective. And a thriving world depends on biological and spiritual diversity---including diversity of perspective and expression. So thank you for sharing yours :-)
Language choices aside, friend, it seems we agree deeply in spirit, and we enjoy the common ground of wisdom, love, and beauty. Thank you again for watching, for your thoughtful reflections, and for your practice of life! 🌈🐎
@@dangerouswisdom314 Thanks for your reaction. We do agree deeply in spirit. When I wrote my suggestions, I unintentionally had kept that implicit. 😄
With regards to nonduality I also like to share with you an epiphany during a rough period in my life in 2016. It provides me an infinite sense of freedom. Not all the time. Still, it does when I need it 😃🍀
Summarized in Dutch text: Naast ‘WAAR' en 'niet WAAR' is er 'niet WAARGENOMEN'.
@@dangerouswisdom314 I am very happy you recognize I'm doing my part too, to help the whole. It took me a few day to translate the Dutch version, because while reading the english version I discovered new angles to rewrite my last version of the essay. Yep, it stays "work in progress". Thanks for your work! Philosophy s great but alone it isn’t enough. Look into Anthroposophy (spiritual science) and Biodynamics.

I disagree, music stores everything. Just listen to the music of the time in questiin amd listen to the words closely, clues abound.

Too few will hear this message.
Humans aren't ignorant human are new born in the universe. Ignorance is lacking in something

Thus is more depressing than anything. Subliminal shit

Dr. King, who revered Socrates and could quote Plato as easily as the Bible, would have had this in mind when he said,
“When our days become dreary with low-hovering clouds of despair, and when our nights become darker than a thousand midnights, let us remember that there is a creative force in this universe, working to pull down the gigantic mountains of evil, a power that is able to make a way out of no way and transform dark yesterdays into bright tomorrows. Let us realize the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.”
