Great list and brilliant video John! Thank you for your kind and supportive words, it means a lot coming from you 🥃 This is a hard one and you nailed it on the head with thinking about availability, price, production etc. I like the idea of runner ups as well so if you don't mind, I'll be a bit 'creatively inspired' by you 😃 I accept your challenge, see you out there 🥃
Funny I’m going there today. They made a Captain’s Daughter spirit. They also have a new Eggnog IPA. I also went there 12 years ago when they first opened.
@@justwhisky Yeah, I have seen the title lots of times but somehow always written to off as to gimmicky. This is the first one I have watch. A lot less gimmicky than expected😉
Love your list.. 2 were my picks... You have your amazing collection and I have some unicorns myself.. Craiggie 13...I noticed it has been my go to since I have so many empty cannisters... I give local gals 101 and coke...$24us/liter important from their mother company in Italy....no tariff...great price.. The problem with the 5 game is I had 5 single malts in my flight last night...comparing...moving from 12-13-15.... Great variation in list and runners up..
Fantastic list. You kept pulling out your something special runner ups and I was thinking how can you beat that and you did each time. Thanks for sharing your list.
Wowza❤I wouldn’t have guessed Arran 14 as the special occasion drink. I’ve had both old 14 and 21 from Arran, although I do prefer the 21 the 14 did come close and does not disappoint.
super interesting list. I can actually get some of these bottles at retail. I also took for granted Arran expressions. The 14 year and 18 year were at a few stores around me and now they're all gone.
I'm looking these up from my local distributor as I watch, and sadly can only find a couple of them. I was having a sneaky Talisker 10yo last night which is great under $100NZD. The Ledaig 18yo isn't there, but the 10yo is, for $87NZD! That seems like great value, I think I'll have to put a bottle in for Xmas. Cheers.
I keep eyeballing a Longmorn 16 at a secret honey hole I know about, but $150 price tag has held me off for now hoping to find it cheaper or by some miracle find the older bottling knock on wood. Nice list
Great picks John. Where is that last subscriber? 🤔Come on people!
A year later, still an enjoyable view. Cheers.
Thanks so much 🙏
Cheers 🥃
Agree 💯 on the Craig 13.

Looking forward to your take. You are one of the better channels in Whisky Tube. Wishing you much success.

Arran 14! What a surprise. I have only one backup bottle left. Such a great Scotch that didn’t get respect till it got discontinued
Agree… great distillery great juice.
Cheers 🥃
Have you ever been to Grey Sail brewing? I take a trip there every year on my way to the beach.

That's a one heck of a list of great whiskies John. Some are real gems. Well done!
Thanks so much! It was fun.

This is actually a very fun idea for a list composition👍🙂
Yes it’s making the rounds…I guess it started on Reddit years ago.
Cheers 🥃

I have a first edition A21 in the bunker…. And I do have couple backups of the A14… when it’s gone it’s gone.
Cheers 🥃
@@justwhisky I am sad I only have 1/4 bottle left of the original Arran 21. I wish I could compare it to the newer Arran 21 and find any differences?
@@vangstr I haven’t seen any Arran since their rebranding.

Here ir Latvia Wild turkey 101 is to impress your guests or for special moments😄 If you must have only one this is it!🤣
For the money you can’t go wrong with WT 101.

International Wine shop in Connecticut has it for $98 and they ship. $150 is a bit steep but so is most things these days.
