@justwhisky As a matter of interest, have you tried the McNair's 10 yr old cask strength (any batch)? It's very similar, coming from the same Billy Walker stable. I love that one too, so just wondered if it doesn't jive with you for the same reasons
Great recap John, I love the format of elimination, adds intensity to the process 😅 I have tried the 17 and loved but not the 18. Sounds like I should get my hands on it. Cheers John, here's to a happy new year to you and yours!
@@thewhiskyenthusiast thanks for the kind words Sertug…. All the best to you and yours this holiday season and upcoming new year! The OP 18 tends to fly under the radar. Both the 2018 & 2019 are great with only slight variations. A bit different than the ole 17 but maybe even better 🤷♂️. I would be interested in your take… as we sometimes differ but in a good way! Cheers 🥃 All the best my far away friend!
Merry Christmas, John. All the best for you and yours as well. Cheers!

The Redbreast Cuatro Barriles is my favourite from this year, it's travel retail so a bit tricky to get, but readily available where you can!
All great choices . . . for me, I like the Kilchoman Loch Gorm
@@markanderson8677 I’m becoming a Kilchoman fan!
Love the new “ Batch Strength “ and the PX as well!

I was convinced Talisker 8 Tidal Churn was going to be your pick this year.
@@EuropaWill it could easily have been but it’s so hard to find.

Oh boy, our taste buds are on different planets. The Turbo is one of the best drams I've had in the past few years!
