@remek5758 if i am not mistaken, it's 5:1 against world number 1.
That is true. Iga could never have anything close to this because for most of her career Barty was #1, and she could never beat Barty. The only #1 that Iga has beaten was Sabalenka at the WTA finals
Great job Elena ! Congratulations !!! from your Polish fans!
Head to Head 4/2... the End
@@longlifevibes8842 And?
@longlifevibes8842 ... this was an unnecessary comment towards a person who congratulated Elena and happens to be from Poland... so do you hate Iga or are your prejudice against people from Poland? Cause that's the energy that this is giving. 🤷🏿♂️
Iga fought crazy hard, this was a fun match.
Zdecydowanie. Reprezentantka Kazachstanu zasłużyła na to zwycięstwo. Ale w porównaniu z wczorajszym meczem z Emmą Raducanu ten dzisiejszy mecz był strasznie nudny.
Love Rybakinas brand and style of tennis! Would love to see her win one of the majors this year 💪🏽
This is a exciting rivalry. I'm a fan of Rybakina, but the facts are that she hasn't done well in a Grand Slam in a while, the last being the AO in 2023. That's a long stretch. She needs to do well this year at RG or Wimbledon to show her health and inconsistency issues are in the past.
She hasn't won a Grand Slam since 2022.
At least she's won one, for many it is an unrealistic dream
True - she does need to win some slams otherwise these fabulous wins against Swiatek (the most dominant player of this generation) don't do much for her legacy!
That’s a bit harsh. The standard in the women’s game is at an extremely high level right now, anyone can beat anyone. EB has had an amazing season so far after having some health issues.
@@alistairsmith5389 I don't mean to knock Elena. She's one of my favorite players. I think she's talented enough to win 7-8 slams in her career and be up there with the likes of Venus or Henin. Just want her to do well. But even if she doesn't, she will always have Wimbledon. Slams are what tennis players are measured by, rightly or wrongly.
Congratulations Elena I knew you could do it. Stay strong and healthy. Try not to over play tournaments. Rest well. You are heading to the Top in wemons Tennis❤ from Galway Ireland

Rybakina confirmed her class again.
Oui j’espère elle gagnera la finale
Yes. But Iga is STILL numero uno. 👩🎾🆗
her class was never the problem, her lack of level at slams is the issue. like Ostapenko, beating Iga doesnt mean anything when player doesnt keep adding to slams
In last 5 slams Iga won 1 hardly dominating is she @@deusexmachina9776
@deusexmachina9776 well both of them have slams already... what u said sounded like they hadn't won slams at all and as if iga won 20

So happy to have a competitive WTA, all these ladies in the top five are extraordinary players, and even outside the top 5 there are great talents who are capable of winning big championships. Fantastic Elena, a pleasure to watch these two today.

Beating Iga on clay is no small feat. Great match for both.

Congrats Elena you are the best...the confidence you got by beating Iga on her fav slow clay court is remarkable achievement...well played and all the best for all the matches...❤
When Rybakina is in top form, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion.
I'm always impressed by her calm on court demeanor, it allows her to make good decisions.
I'm hoping Stuttgart will be the start of her march to the top of the leaderboard.
That's how it will be, because she is the REAL No. 1!!!
And she faded to the background while Queen Iga won Rome/Madrid/RG triple as 2nd one in history after Serena Williams.
Real no.1 my ass. Iga with 5 WTA 1000, Finals and Slam atm, Rybakina without WTA 1000 since 60 weeks.
@@SmithyPL
Because Iga is more consistent and also lucky not to run into Elena. Elena seems to have a poor set/match here and there. But Elena vs Iga h/h is a different story. I am not sure about their overall h/h record but I suspect it is 2 to 1 in favor of Elena. Also, Elena can best Iga on all surfaces.
Not even an Ace for Iga. Elena had 10 aces. Let's be real. Elena beat Iga fair and square.
Iga 7 double faults is more representative of the quality of her serve ...
@@chay2033 Elena had 5 double faults also. So probably could say that both of them had some serving issues.
double faults could also indicate pressure from the returner. Rybakina attacks second serves so Iga started pushing and making more mistakes
@@STRAWYB Rybakina did have serve issues as well, especially in what she's capable of indeed. However, Iga's serve today was below wta average today. Not only she had 7 double faults , she basically had to battle with her serve to keep decent stats. She offered 20 break points against 13, yet only placed 57 % of her first serves to win her usual 65% first serve. Rybakina was at least capable to cover up with aces to win 70 % of her first serves.
Igas kick serve is not so efficient when playing Rybakina. That's one of the main factors here. She could potentially mix it up with a slice serve more. That kicker goes straight into Elena's striking zone.
Well this match was definitely more tension than the upcoming finals
true, if Marta wins Elena can bully her easily since both will be exhausted. If Marketa wins and takes the first set she will win, Rybakina when tired in fianls doesnt put up a fight after losing the first set like in Miami both years, and Doha
It felt lime the AO semi between Aryna and Coco - you just must knew the winner was from that match. This match felt the same. No shade to the other semi, but this was TOP TIER.
Elena really wants to have passport for driving so I think and hope she fights till the end
@@ivanhall6482 noo, that AO SF was lower standard than this one. We know Coco will lose
@@ivanhall6482 You said it. I commented my thoughts on this, your comment echos mine.
Very impressive. I really love the WAY she handles herself on the court. No noise, no drama, just gets on and plays. She strikes me as being just a nice, friendly person who works hard and stays humble. Lovely human being, and not a bad tennis player either!
People like Rybakina usually don't show their emotions, but they are like a bomb inside. She's so skinny and have gastro problems, because her nerves "eating" her from inside. She wouldn't stay healthy for so long.

Wow! Superb match… the way Elena has improved her net game is just incredible! She has cracked the code of staying composed under pressure and giving her best, no matter how adverse the circumstances. Bring home the trophy! 💪🏻
Rybakina knows how to brake Iga's tactics. She always try to give her direction to the ball, and this is Iga's Aquile's heel. The polish plays imprinting her angles, her rythm, her directions. She almost never plays on center hits. Rybakina knows that. Therefore, it's her winning.
I wish Elena stepped a little more in the baseline in her return. She's capable with her first strike approach
@@24de5u-wy2ln For sure

Iga was lucky to win Doha(her most dominant tournament and Rybakina still had her on the ropes in that 1st set), that win doesn’t really mean that much.
This win was much more significant because both of them were fresh and it is on clay where Rybakina is slightly more shaky.
Rybakina is just such a top notch player. I hope she wins another Slam soon,.
Rybakina is living rent free in Iga’s head , as sson as things don’t go her way with plan A she looks lost out there , she doesn’t have a plan B , love it when Ryba whoops her 😂😂😂

Congrats to Elena. Only saying that this is the fastest clay court. Next ones are going to be much slower. But let’s give the credit when it’s due. 🎉
@@jukkao.parviainen8669finally someone with brains. Cheers
@@jukkao.parviainen8669
Slower clay will give her even more time to find her shots.
It will hurt her serve a little bit but her defense will make up for it.
@@westonmeyer3110 Slow hard court in IW, what happened? Slower the court, the better for Iga’s kick serve (2nd serve) and for her topspin forehand. She can then have a full swing for her forehand. Also if the conditions are more natural, or catastrophic like in Cańcun, see who adopted herself to that. I don’t see tables turning on the normal clay. Now in Madrid it’s Saba vs Ryba earlier, let’s see which one comes through from that battle. Consistency is the name of the game, and from these three you can see who tops that one. So far. I mean congrats to Ryba for SF win, no excuses.
@@jukkao.parviainen8669
Rybakina was the defending champion of Indian Wells and couldn’t play after she dropped out of Dubai before the quarterfinal with illness. Rybakina probably would have won Indian Wells again if that didn’t happen and she definitely would have won Dubai.
Slow hard courts like Indian Wells and Canada are ideal for Rybakina because she has more time but fast courts are also great for her serve(Brisbane showed that), while Miami just happens to be a fast hard court that starts after Rybakina is worn down but still in good enough form to make it deep so she doesn’t win the final. The US Open hard court swing should be very interesting if Rybakina doesn’t get sick or injured in Canada or Cincinnati because it is very similar to Miami and Indian Wells.
Rybakina can win any tournament if she is fully healthy and at least playing somewhat decently because she can get broken to fall behind in a set and still usually get that break back while always having at least 2 or 3 untouchable service games that keep her in a close set.
In terms of Rybakina playing Sabalenka, I will take Rybakina every time(she is beating Sabalenka in terms of sets won now in their head to head 11 to 10 despite Sabalenka having a 5-3 lead in matches because Rybakina always takes a set against Sabalenka). Even the Sabalenka that beat Rybakina handily after losing the 1st set in Australia would lose to this Rybakina because that Rybakina had never even won the 1st set against Sabalenka and now she has nearly double bageled her and Rybakina is consistently playing well in most matches now so the errors won’t save Sabalenka anymore.
Great match and love this win for Elena, beating Iga on her favourite most favoured surface is huge mentally, RG this year is gonna be very interesting 🎉😮
Elena has the most beautiful net approach with the best drop shot in the business. So natural like a serve and volley player! ❤❤❤
Best drop shot I would argue would be by Ons Jabeur.
Ons has the best drop shots and touch by a country mile but Elena is also superb in that department
Elena is a baseliner. Drop shots? Please share. Her net approach is solid. Ons touch is exquisite. Elena beating Iga on clay is crazy!!!!!
Her net play is really not that great
And again, Elena Rybakina sent Iga packing. Bye, Iga. Thanks for playing. 😂
No one can beat her when rybakina in a good shape.
Rybakina showing she has more skills than Swiatek-drop shots, volleys, definitely more feel for the ball combined with deadly power. Obviously movement is a problem for her. But attack is the best defense. On form I feel she is the best player out there. But you don't really know which Elena is going to show up on any given day. Swiatek needs to add more to her game. Serve definitely has improved.

Close to perfection match from Rybakina, maybe the best since the final against Sabalenka earlier this year, I don't even know how she lost a set, it was a distraction moment, she played for a 2-0. Sliding like a "clayer", parallel shots, corner shots, very few dumb errors, returning well, not even need to talk about the cold mind to defend a lot of bps because it's nothing new. Great match though 👏🏻
close to perfection, come on she missed about 11 break points in a row. both players didnt take their chances.
Close to perfection would be her Indian Wells and AO open victories last year, she didn't play that great but good enough to beat Iga, such was the confidence

@bartoszbrozek5176 No one is jealous of Iga. I am actually an Iga fan, and as a fan I can also tell you she's a terrible loser. All the grace in her game doesn't translate to the interview booth when she loses. Sorry not sorry. Also yall need to stop, 4 slams is impressive, bur she's not even in the top 10 slam holders yet. Stop rushing her to GOAT status. She had to reach the same level and longevity of players like Venua, Maria, Martina H, Kim, Justine... before she ever be in the GOAT conversation with Serena, Steffi, Martina N, Chris. 🤷🏿♂️
@beyou8038 the dire hard Iga fans are toxic it's so crazy to me
@@ivanhall6482 They are acting like Iga is the only top player 😀😀😀Saba has two slams, Elena and Coca are not behind. An injury free Elena is a contender for FO
Iga will say again that she lost because she wasn’t at her best level, or because she was tired, and will not say any compliments about Rybakina.. as always, the least fairplay player😂
She said she respects Rybakina
You ppl are all so jealous, but that is okay
Wtf?? She always gives credit to her opponents.
@@westonmeyer3110It's not about respect, Elena respects her too😂😂😂
@@redeyexxx1841lol😂😂😂
Bye bye 0ga😅😅😅
Good for here not everyday ✅🧐🤣CHRISTMAS whatever
Amazing Rybakina 🔥🙌🏽❤
Eu a amo a simplicidade e a humildade da Elena , ela merecia essa vitória 🏅
You cannot win match and having 42 unforced errors. Well done Elena. You are true #1
