I love pretty much everything that the Seiko is doing, well almost everything, rising moving different watches to different series just to rise the price would not be one of those. Having this lower cost GMT movement will create many micro brands having new cool GMT watches and for this we should give them a credit.
Yes, these new Seiko GMTs are better looking than 007 style GMTs. That black one looks great. I would definitely consider buying this one, in fact I most likely will, while the previous 007 held no interest for me. Good move on Seiko.
Given how crazy is the gray market speculators are, wouldn't be surprised if us retailers won't get to see one of the new S5 GMT until end of the year.
Very nice video, thank you. My $.02 on the Seiko GMT's is they will sell like crazy! I'm planning on buying one myself. I thought the earlier SKX version, although a great watch and good value for money, was simply a bit too big for me. Also looking at the new Seiko Alpinist GMT.
The earlier Seiko 5 skx style gmt's look like all those unwanted mods with useless 24hr bezels from 2009-2015 or so. These look great and as a true bottom feeder, I will be buying a used one for $200-250 3 years from now
@@Joe-yi8xjthey will be discounted to $300 brand new within a year. Just check during holidays sales seasons. Hopefully you won't have to wait 3 years.
Military watches didn’t, and often still don’t have sapphire because you’d much rather have a scratch on your watch than scattered glass. That’s why even very expensive iso certified dive watches rarely have sapphire glass. Having said that, barely anyone does anything adventurous with military “styled” watches anyway, so they might as well given it sapphire. Personally I don’t really care, but I like old school plastic domed crystals the best.

Got the polar version on pre-order. Can. Not. Wait.
Hi Dave, any suggestions as to which website dealers might ship to the UK? Love this polar dial. 😍

Love that Seiko 5 "Polar"!

The new Seiko #5KeXplorer....
Seiko 5EXploer
Or Tudor BB Pro
😂
That green Farer is nice. 👍 A lot of good picks.
That Seiko 5 GMT in black = cool!
Appreciate what you guys are doing. Enjoy the holidays!
BTW, love colours on these chronos you guys did.
Thank you!!! 🙌
JDM white Seiko 5 GMT is the best of the 3!
Very nervous about what Breitling will do with UG however also very exciting
Love the new Seiko GMTs!
What am I looking from GS? Non polished cases with a 20mm lug width. So simple
both seikos look really good!
Damn Teddy got some new spectacles.
I like the 10th Mountain bottle behind you! Great video.
Thanks!
Hey, that’s my photo at 1:30! Appreciate the credit, thank you
Nice work!
Great work Zach, thank you. I've been watching your vids for while now. Keep up the awesome content.
Thanks, will do!

Love the Seiko GMT’s. What is the availability of the white face? I couldn’t catch what was said
It's a Japanese market model
Thank you

Yes, I'm here for salmon. I need a Fears Brunswick 38 salmon one of these days.
Why oh why no matching bracelet for the black model?
I think I’m going to get the jdm white version of the new seiko one. It looks sooooo nice and I think the white looks better than the black
Please add timestamps for these videos
Backlit lume, really cool…
1400 USD for a caller GMT would have been okay a few years ago. Now I’m beginning to expect a true GMT at 1000 USD.
I have seen a Blue on Blue for this in their you tune site with a yellow gmt arm. Do you know about this?
YUP! That seiko's the one
Wow, some good news. Thanks 👍
Completely agree re the salmon dial, or pink as we’d call it in the U.K.
Now I just want a Laurel Alpinist gmt
Wish that Seiko had a rotating bezel...anyone have experience modding this model?
SSK023 is going to be a winner for Seiko!
But why the fixed bezel on the Seiko GMT?
SKX style GMT is more meaningful and original. This new Explorer II homage is well, just a homage.
I like the new Seiko GMT.
Absolutely awesome watch!
Give us the Willard GMT already dammnit!
Really wish the new seiko 5 gmt would’ve been in the dresskx model instead of the field watch.
My Seiko GMT 5 has been returned to Seiko three times and still does not keep time.
Grand Seiko, please expand your offerings sub 40mm and sub 11mm thick. Thank you!
I prefer the steel case of the ssk023 but want it with the textured dial of the ssk025, why can’t I have my cake and eat it too?
Still no adjustment on the fly for a almost $5000 watch is just silly
Anyone else see a Norquain Hakuna Mipaka in that Seiko?
White dial would be better
No, not really into salmon dials..
quite similar to tudor gmt
Until they re-do that stupid "5" logo I won't be buying a new Seiko - Bring back the "Superman shield"
You'll be waiting a long time
@@Chris-de2qc Not waiting at all, just buying up the older ones when I find one I like
I like the watches you cover but would prefer more time with watching watch faces than presenter face 😉
Broke 2 of them. Not durable myalsian movement
Too damn small!!!
sorry, i dont buy this guy drinking the whiskey in the back
Calling Universal Geneve "UG" is so silly 🤦
Mate, don't be so lazy and say real name of that brand
It made the script easier to read ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A field watch without saphir glass, it’s a non-sens.

I crawled around the jungle wearing a watch with acrylic glass. 😅
@@ogukuo97 That’s a vibe
Based on the sheer cluelessness of this comment, I’m gonna take a wild guess that you’ve been into watches for three, maybe four years tops.
Teddy
Zach, but Teddy is a great guy :)
@@zachweiss8563 U will get there awesome content .. have subs
It's waste of money and time to have hobby in collecting watches.
I still hate the new Seiko logo. It is now stopping me buying seikos.

You're right... I was so used to Farer watch's pulling from UK history that I didn't register it
I pretty sure Pullman had a UK operation and that's what Farer uses for inspiration so you were technically correct.
