KXNG LEX 1981 he says +01 mm. I commented to try to verify this as well. Idk if I need -12 or +01??

Hey I’m looking to do this exact set up to my 4th gen!! Are you sure those wheels are +01 mm offset? Having trouble trying to decide if I need +01 or -12mm. Please help?!?
Go with the -12 for a more of an aggressive look! That’s my plan
In the first 4Runner why were the spacers bigger in the front than the rear? And were the Trd wheels needed for this setup to work or could’ve been done with the oem wheels?

If you go with a negative offset wheel, especially in the -30s, be prepared to do modifications to the body mounts or even a mount relocation.

2011 4runner procomp 3" front and 2.5" rear. I'm looking at getting the srs rs8 17x8.5 -10 off set. Is bmc needed to fit? Tires are 275.70.17 ko2
2.5 in the rear? It wouldn’t look level but 275’s doesn’t rub. You should be good.

How much it changes the MPG?
Well... gotta say my ‘14 trail rubbed like crazy with an icon stage 3 lift, Scs Ray 10 wheels, and 285/75/17 BFG KM3’s. Had to do a BMC and some trimming of the front bumper.
Depending on the offset you may have had to do the bmc anyways if you had one of scs’d aggressive offsets like -38 or whatever it is they sell
285/75R17 are 34 inch tires not 33s and those SCS wheels have negative offset, so yeah they are gonna rub. 285/70R17 (33 inch) and 0 offset wheels almost always won't rub.

Hey qucik question can I fit 285/70/17 on TRD pros on a 2016 SR5? I do have a spacer lift and wheel adpators on it now so the 265 stick out pass the wheel wells just to give it a more aggressive look...
The wheel spacers might make it rub as they increase the negative offset and scrub radius
Man bfg really nailed it outta the park with the ko2. Not only the performance on and off road but the design. They just look better than any other all terrain tire out there along with the hybrid style nitro ridge grapplers, the all terrain terra grapplers that come with the trd pro I’m not a fan of. The ko2’s look right at home on 4runners and Tacoma’s.

Yes unless they added proper upper control arms to change the alignment of everything.

The rims will be by FUEL and they are 20×10's with a -19 offset!!! Can I possibly go with this set up if I use a READYLIFT SST 3"F/2"R LIFT KIT on my TOYOTA 4RUNNER with out having any rubbing issues!!! Q: Is it just me, or is the 7" width of the TRD wheels a bit narrow for 285's? Asking out of curiosity.
It’s not recommended on the actual specs but tons of people run them and wheel with the trd sema wheels with 285s. The issue is a lot of the big tire chains won’t install it but It’s not hard to find somebody to mount them just like this shop but it is perfectly fine and I’ve never heard anything happening

So no rub with 33’s? How about with a +12 offset?
No rub on the T4R with TRD wheels 17x7 with a +4 offset. Looking at putting 33’s on 18x9 wheels with +12 offset.

Do you guys suggest re-gearing after bigger tires are added? If so, do you re-gear?
If you don't regear you might have an extra chromosome.

Probably. Depends on the tire brand. I have 2" leveling kit sitting on bfg ko2s 275/70/17. 2019 trd or. Had to get spidertrax spacers because the front tire were rubbing the UCAs. Then that caused the tires to rub the mud flaps and front. After trimming and moding the flaps, its done. Many videos how to do it. Was it worth it!!?? Yes.
@@pekanpi434 with 2.5 inch front, 2 inch rear 265/70/17 Wildpeak AT3's (non LT) should fit with zero problem or rub right? It seems to be when you go to 275 or 285

SHIT I got a 1997 SR5 4Runner on a 3 inch supreme spacer lift front and rear and it fits a 255/80/17 (33.1x10.00r17) NO PROBLEM. 😎
I'm planning to go pizza cutters as well on my 2021 5th gen trd off road. I don't like the 285 wide tires that most folks install, too much width there.

YES Sir. IT DOES! - Have this problem right now! you don't even need a FULL turn backing up, I got LT285/70R/17 nitto ridge grappler, now I need to figure out what to do. I have seen a few videos, but still nothing super clear besides removing mud-flaps trimming front bumper and pulling fender liner forward.
SilverFox do you have adjustable upper control arms? I was advised by toytec that I won’t need to do anything except move the liner forwards as long as I get the UCAs

I have a white one like this with a 3 inch lift and tried that tire size and when you turned the wheel it would rud on the inside fender liner.
I am in a 2019 Limited with 3" spacer lift + front UCA for proper alignment with the XP wheels 20x9+18 and had to stick to 265/60-20 Cooper Descover AT3 XLTs ( at 32.5) to have no rubbing on the fender liner forward of the tire at full lock. Granted I could have gone with a 33" and moved the fender liner forward but got a much better price on the 32.5"
33’s aren’t recommended for 17 inch wheels

mpg doesn't matter if you bought a 4Runner.

They are using BF Goodrich K02's size 285/70r/17 (This is a 33in tire and requires at least a 2.5" lift to prevent wheel rub, unless you want to shave/cut/modify your vehicle)
Watching the employee lift 75lbs. of tire and wheel over his head to mount it was so cringe worthy. The vehicle is on a lift! Just lower it. Work smarter, not harder.
