Plus the 24 being last year of the 5th gen, I’m betting the 4 cyl 6th gen engine will bomb and increase resale value of the 6cy naturally aspirated engine.
I agree with your analysis of the situation. I am driving a 2004 Sequoia that reminds me of a 2024 4Runner. Big displacement, low horsepower engine. 200,000 miles of reliable service! I am starting to worry about reliability and want to get something new, but this 4Runner may be my last chance…
@@randallsmith7885 I had the 2023 Sequoia and it was a great SUV and just didn’t want to take a risk with the engine. The 4Runner does feel solid but hopefully by the end of 2025 they will work out all the issues and get another Sequoia. Probably 1794 or Capstone trim.
@MH_6160 good question. I've had mine for a month now and afraid to wash it bc I swirled the black paint on my Tacoma- while trying to be extra careful with it. Hopefully Japan used better paint than Mexico
Gotta 24 trd off-road in icecap and I shit you not my dad bought the same one in underground the week after. The underground looks blue kinda in the sun.
I have to congratulate you on this excellent video. Out of the hundreds of 4Runner review videos, no one has ever mentioned one of my “favorite” features, the “reclining back seat”, until now. I’ve taken many long trips with family, taking my turn in the back seat to rest, and it’s amazingly comfortable when reclined. Bravo Zulu!!!
Nice! I got a 2023 Tacoma TRD off road 4x4 last year, in Lunar Rock and love it! Last of the 3rd gen Tacomas. About 2 months ago now. I got my wife a 2024 4runner TRD PRO in the Terra color. Last of the Mohicans like the 3rd gen Taco. This one is a unicorn due to that color. No other 5th gen 4runner will ever have that color besides the last pro. Enjoy it and never let it go. We love both our Taco and 4runner.
I have an 06 208,000 miles and I've never felt that the engine was underpowered or lacking during everyday use. As far as towing this may not be the best option for anyone over 2000 lbs but that too depends on where you are traveling. Just bulletproof.
Just picked up my 2024 4Runner TRD ORP with KDSS. Didn't want the 2025 4runner with the new engine. Awesome car. No complaints. Thanks for posting the video.
What did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I wanted a TRD Pro but they aren't moving off MSRP, The Off Road Premiums I heard people getting less than MSRP. I like to get a KDSS too.
@@ls60fd $58000 with tax and license fees(Calif). I looked all over and even thought of buying in Oregon but couldn't find any dealers willing to let them go for under MSRP. I live in SoCal
I love hearing reviews that confirm my decision to buy a 4Runner. I bought a 2024 SR5 in February. I am not an off-roader; I just wanted something that would safely get my family and me around regardless of weather and road conditions. You are quite correct, it is solid, versatile, and comfortable. In spite of lackluster reviews (mostly due to poor mileage), I believe it was a good decision to purchase this vehicle. If nothing else, it will hold its value! Thank you for your excellent review!
Just purchased 2024 4R ORP in Underground…love it. Originally wanted a Limited in nightshade but they stopped making in 2021….definitely didn’t want to beta test a turbo engine
I basically did the same thing. I have a deal made to trade my 2023 TRD Offroad XP package Tundra in Army Green for a 2024 4Runner TRD Offroad Premium in a blackout package, it's on a ship coming from Japan right now. I have a 3rd gen 4Runner that is about to hit 350,000 miles. Arguably the best vehicle ever made, the 5th gen 4Runner. As far as a bed, you can get a utility trailer and be set. I plan to eventually add another truck, but you can use your 4Runner and a utility trailer and not miss a truck honestly
My original plan was to get a 2024 Sequoia Capstone and fortunately for me could not get the color I wanted. So the day of the recall announcement purchased the 4Runnner and will sit it out until late 2025.
Thanks for your review I have 3 different Ram for the last 12 years and I just got 24 SR5 premium + it came with the 360 camera and I’m very happy Is being 3 months and i don’t miss my 2015 Ram 1500 at all
My 24 trd off road premium 4runner just turned 5800 miles. It is Underground color with sunroof, 360 camera and kdss. I feel like I found the bargain of a lifetime in this suv. No squeeks, no rattles, no drama, no regrets. I got a jd power survey in the mail that asked all these questions about new car issues. I ticked every box N/A. I have no issues. I did the first oil change myself and added an RCI skid plate made for kdss. Enjoy your ownership. I feel exactly as you do. Glad you made the switch and the video.
I had a 2016 4runner, it was a great vehicle. I now have a 24 Land Cruiser. You make wonderful points as it relates to reliability of "old" technologies. Thus far, my LC has been flawless. Time will tell if longevity is the same for the new iForcemax toyotas.
@Anomize23 well actually, I was driving a 2021 Jeep Wrangler so, I got a lot more space with this. I owned a 5th Gen 4Runner prior to my Jeep. Furthermore the specs state the LC is larger than the 4Runner.
Bought a new 2020 4R TRD Pro. Already put 137K miles on it...zero problems. Very happy with it. Don't plan on ever getting rid of it. (But...I can't wait to see the 7th Gen, 2 cylinder, twin-turbo. The gas mileage is gonna be GREAT!]
I bought my forerunner 2020 January and then pandemic and, same thing the more I drive it more. I’m loving it. I feel like I can do anything and go anywhere some of these floods.
I bought a 40th Anniversary edition last year with the plan that it would hold its value until the new LC or 6th Gen 4R came out, but after living with the 5th Gen for a year now, I love it and want one hold onto it as long as possible! I feel that in 10 years when all vehicles will be turbo, hybrid, and EV, I’ll still enjoy cruising around in this analog, all-hydraulic relic!
@@thelearnedgoat I agree with you. I had high hopes for the new LC, but it's way overpriced for what it is, and I just don't see that 4 banger turbo hybrid being anywhere near as reliable as the tried and true 4.0 V6.
I got my 24 4Runner Limited about a month ago and am loving it. Feels so solid and well built I just want to go drive it for the pure enjoyment. I researched vehicles for about three years before deciding on the Runner and I am convinced I made the right decision. I live in snow country so the full time 4wd of the Limited was really a plus for me.
I agree 100% with you. I just traded a 2024 Tundra Limited TRD for a 2024 4Runner TRD Pro. The amount of rattles and squeaks the Tundra had at 4000 miles was nuts.
I’m right there with you about the 6th gen 4Runner, I don’t think it’s gonna be as reliable due to new drivetrain and motor and whatnot. But the one thing I have a little bit of hope for would be the overall build quality, due to the fact that they’re still building them in Japan. I’ve had both American and Mexico made vehicles and the overall build quality of those vehicles don’t even come close to the Japanese made Toyotas I’ve owned.
I just bought a 24 TRD Pro in midnight black about 3 months ago and i truly believe the values are going to sky rocket because the 5th gen is a instant classic! I already installed a 2" lift and 33" tires plus wheels. I love it and it's my second ive owned. Great choice. Of course the reliability i was driver to buy one but also the lack of tech was one as well. Enjoy🍻
Great video! It popped up on my feed automatically, probably because I watch a lot of Toyota content. I am glad I watched it and looking forward to hearing more about your ownership experience with the 4Runner as I am on the fence about getting a 5th gen.
We just picked up our 2024 4Runner TRD off road premium last week. I totally agree with the last of the high quality ones. We test drove the 2024 Tacoma and were not impressed. Also got to play with the new Land Cruiser seems like it’s the same size interior.
Got two of these exact year/models/tires/wheels in my garage. I had twins and will take good care of them for the next 25 years. Both underground but ironically they will never die...
I’m about to do the same. I have a 24 Orp in underground. I plan on getting rid of my Honda ridgeline and getting another 4Runner,that’s how impressed I am with it. Im loading up on the greats before they are gone.
I sold a troublesome 21 F-150... bought a barely used GX460. No regrets at all. The quality from the Japanese-made vehicles seems to be great. I plan to maintain it extremely well and see just how many miles and years I can get out if it.
I passed up an awesome offer for a new 2024 Tundra and Just bought a 24 4Runner TRD offroad premium in Underground gray. Can’t wait for the delivery date! Thanks for the video . I totally agree . This suv model is old but the reliability is the reason I bought it. I honestly don’t want a turbo hybrid engine . My old ass is just not ready for all the complicated tech. I think I will be happy with my purchase.
I have a 4runner orp in underground waiting to leave Japan. Mine is very similar to yours but comes with mtm (360 cam) and no moonroof. I cannot wait for it. While the 2024 doesn’t have all the modern bells and whistles, like you, I love the simplicity!
@@efromhb be prepared to travel to get it. Toyota makes very few ORP with no moonroofs. The main reason for the ORP over the OR is the moonroof. Target dealerships in the south like OK, TX, and AZ.
I replaced the Front, Rear Silver Valance’s with the Black Ones OEM. I replaced the Grille with The Heritage Grille OEM from Beach Toyota…Looks awesome! I purchased the T2V12 14.1” Android Touchscreen. I purchased Black Skid Plate from CTH for easy oil filter replacement. No lift. I will keep the suspension stock! This is the best Truck/SUV ever built! Tried and True for sure…Thanks for your Vids!😊 BTW, I to have a TRD ORP.
I couldn't have said it better myself, when you've spent some time with your new toy you will find out how much character she's got. I have a 2016 4runner trail with kdss that I've had since new and totally decked her out for overlandding, and yet she's still in showroom condition from how much i take care of it and what that vehicle actually means to me. There truly is something about owning and driving these vehicles that you can't find in any other. Congrats on your new toy, and welcome to the 4runner family
Subscribed…. Enjoyed your video and you present well. I’ve had 5 Tacoma’s since the turn of the century and I am trading my 2023 trd Tacoma in on a T4R trd off road premium and taking delivery 29 August. Would have preferred one without the moonroof but I guess all premiums come with it. I’m getting the same trim as yours and also in underground. At age 78 I’m thinking this could be my last vehicle as I plan to hold on to the T4R quite a bit longer than my I did with my Tacoma’s. I had no idea until a month ago that the 4 runner was such a big deal until my daughter told me I should take a look at them. FYI even though I am buying mine in Chattanooga I have been checking the Toyota of Knoxville website and as of today they listed 24 4Runners of which 20 were listed as sale pending. Best of luck on your channel…I’ll be watching.
I agree with you 100%. I own a 2010 SR5 with over 130,000. No issues, just routine stuff. A few months ago I bought a TRD Off Road Premium, for the same reasons you did.
I have the exact 4runner and bought mine for the same reason. Traveled 2+ hours to get it and was well worth it. Didn't need it as I already have a 22 Tacoma that I really like, but wasn't going to pass on this 4runner.
@@jazumi7798 Congrats! I've been hearing a lot of mixed things about the LC, especially the mpg's. From everything I've read on the LC forums, most owners are averaging 18-19 mpg (I average 18.5 mpg in my TRD ORP). Then there's the smaller fuel tank, questionable reliability, needs premium fuel, and has a hybrid battery that will probably need replacing in 8-10 years. I think you made the right choice!
I traded in my Cadillac ATS for a 2022 nautical blue ORP and it was all decked out the only thing that is different from the pro is no roof rack and the shocks are not the fox shock otherwise it is identical to the pro right doe to the TRD skid plate, The lady that owned this worked at a Toyota dealership and had the extras added at the time of her purchase. That being said I have had an H2 yellow Hummer, A Cadillac escalade, two Mercedes Benz, a Lincoln Continental and others and this 4runner is by far my favorite. I feel that newer cars and trucks are going the way of cell phones. They start out good until they start adding so much stuff to them that you don't want or need. I am so happy to have bought this 4runner. My Cadillac was in the shop every 6 months or so and I just didn't like taking it to the shop all the time. This cost me several thousands of dollars to keep on the road. It was so fun and fast when it worked well. I am 60 now and have no real need for speed at this point. but I love the easy controls and the comfort this 4runner provides. Enjoying your content!!!
Trading in my '16 F150 XLT for a '24 TRD Pro, waiting on the freight to arrive so I can go pick'r'up from my dealership a lil later on this month! Super excited. Underground is unreal in person. Pictures and videos on the internet do not do that color any justice.
Good job of explaining and videography at the same time ,I have a 2020 2020 Toyota 4Runner I love it. It handles good on freeways and some decent all-terrain also , everything looks exactly the same. I got the red and black stitching, leather and everything TRD off road, the engines a little loud and but that’s the way it runs watch some TH-cam videos on this mechanic. He said it’s a solid solid car. It’s just the way it’s made.
I have the same orp in underground and love it. I now have 12500 miles on it. I picked up a couple small rock chips on the hood in the first 1000 miles but no more since. The paint is great, but just not that hard. You can blame the EPA due to restrictions on using low voc paint these days. I have been thinking hood protector, but for now just touch up. I do not want to deal with ppf removal later as I live in AZ and keep cars a long time..
Nice review! I just put a deposit on a 2024 TRD Off Road Premium in Underground... Looks very similar to yours.... Mine is on a ship and 21 days out...
nice truck brother.. I got the 2023 SR5 on the last day of 2023 & put Michelin defender 2 LTX on it I don't rock climb or do any serious overland with it .. but it goes! creeks, muddy dirt roads, beach, river gravel bars right down to the river, national parks , off road in state and national forests ,etc, etc, etc. man I ain't had no trouble with mine & the tires ain't for off roading .. I got it when I did instead of waiting for the next generation. I don't trust a turbo. its another thing to break & expensive to replace , plus the battery on the hybrid will cost a lot too to replace and another thing to break down ...
Thanks for the video. I’ve been curious to know about the ORP compared to the TRD Pro. I’m waiting on my Pro to arrive at the dealership so I can grab her. I liked the walkthrough that you did and showed what it’s like for your daily use having a family. Thanks.
The TRD PRO has the following interior features that the ORP doesn't have. Front Memory seats, climate control, automatic headlights, and remote start. Outside it has the Fox suspension, TRD PRO skid plate and it has what I believe is a factory 3" lift and side rails also as you already know, that not very functional basket on top. I think for the money the ORP is the best choice.
A lot of what ChevyRobScx said is wrong. Here are the highlights for what the Pro adds over the Off road. Fox Suspension, TRD wheels, AT tires, heritage grill, auto headlights, dual-zone climate , remote connect, 120 lbs more cargo weight capacity, roof basket, JBL audio system and TRD exhaust. Some of this stuff you can add later if you want but it will end up costing you more. There are reasons to buy the Pro or the Off Road. Everyone who buys the Off Road will tell you how smart they are for saving the money to make themselves feel better but I do not think that decision is as straight forward as cheaper is better.. I plan on keeping mine for decades. I cannot imagine not having auto headlights now let alone 5, 10 or 20 years from now.
I’ve owned about 30 vehicles in my life from Audis to Hondas and my 24 4Runner is by far the best built vehicle I’ve owned. Everything else feels cheap in comparison.
I picked up a Grandhighlanger, we only hit the desert roads in off road other than that the extra space and driving dynamics sold me. The Forerunner felt sluggish and gear hunted, the GH spun all 4 wheels and merged properly thats the 4T
I traded in my 2018 ORP for 2022 TRD Pro. The ORP was great but after a couple years I really wanted to upgrade the suspension. Good video, thanks for sharing.
I purchased my 2023 Lunar Rock 4Runner ORP back in September because I knew this platform was in its final days. I love the vehicle. I can feel the quality I got mine with the KDSS suspension and it rides like an old Cadillac. My passengers always comment on the smooth ride, spacious interior and rugged good looks. Looking forward to hitting some trails and camping in it. I subscribed to your channel.
I just got my 5th Gen 4Runner Off Road Premium in Underground color. I agree totally with your take. This is the last model year of the V6 naturally aspirated engine. I also bought mine for the reliability, track-record, and the fact that it is a Tahara factory build which has been Kaizen-ed to death. I get that turbos have improved etc., but the 6th generation 4Runner is a new frame, and has many new parts etc. If anyone can pull off a functional reliable 4-cylinder turbo/hybrid platform it would be Toyota. However I am super happy I got my 5th Gen. Thanks for the great content!
My 2024 premium came with the Pro front aluminum trd skid plate as well as the rear pull out cargo tray. I wish I could have gotten the moon green or the underground grey. I went with ice cap white as it was the one that came with the extras for zero extra money over the others. * I will say that ice cap white is rather brutal to look at while washing in the bright sunlight
Just purchased 2024 4Runner Limited four months ago, couldn’t be happier especially now since it’s the last 5 gen version. Like you I’m old school but like to keep my vehicles long term with low maintenance costs. I’m not interested in turbo charged engines, CVT transmissions or electric steering which is more the norm in SUV’s today. I gladly will trade this off for a mastered 4.0 litre engine that is proven with a basically bulletproof (real gears) transmission, not to mention hydraulic steering. Documented reliability and the exceptional build quality from the Tahara assembly plant in Japan made my choice easy. Note: My choice would have been TRD off-road but the wife had to have the limited 🤷🏻♂️
We have 2 forerunners a 2020 and a 2024 The best vehicle ever made Excellent for hunting and fishing trips Bomb proof and excellent for bombing around in Excellent back woods and forest camping vehicle
I watched your first video about why you traded your Tundra and commented my greatest regret of selling my 2022 T4R TRD OR-P w/KDSS & MTM (360° camera) Subbed up to see what you do with your 4Runner
I change out the suspension within 6 months of ownership. Went with Bilstein 6112/5160 setup @ 2.5" lift in front. 1.5" rear with Dirt king UCA's. It handles so much better all around, especially in cornering and stopping. Nothing wrong with the stock, but it is soft and not great for off-road.
You can black out the silver bars on either side of the front emblem for very little money. Props on choosing a trim level that makes sense to you. My '23 SR5 in Canada (7 seats, auto climate control) is perfect for me. I got the black-out kit as well, and TRD rims with a mild set of Nokian all-terrains. I'm not a rock crawler or overlander. Just want a micro-camper for solo photo trips without the weight, hassle, penalties of root top tents or other bro-ed out builds.
Got my 4Runner 24 in Underground with the exact same configuration. Bought it from Family Toyota in Burleson and the Gulf States love to add extra packages to the trucks. Have had it 3 months and put 6500 miles in it
Also got it with the 360 camera because it gives you off road info when in 4L like the TRD Pro and wanted to see where I am since it doesn’t come with parking sensors and the lines don’t move on the backup camera without the 360 view
@@neokumar6146 I also have the 360 camera and I use it all the time when parking as you can see exactly where you are relative to the curb and lines. Love that feature.
I recently traded out of a TRD Pro 4Runner. Agree with most of what you said. Love the looks, styling, off-road, and comfort, but the drive train and gas mileage is too far behind the times. Reliable, yes, but I can’t go back to a 5 speed. Long gears, high rpm on the interstate. You always have down shift down into 4th going up and hill at high speed which really gets loud and inefficient. I was commonly getting into the 12s for mpg. It’s fine driving 60 and under. Anything above that and it’s really not that pleasurable to drive. If you’re not REALLY going off-road, I’d argue most people would be much happier with a Highlander, especially the hybrid.
I traded my 2016 GMC Sierra in for a 2017 TRD 4runner premium, and I am totally sold on this vehicle it is too bad that the new ones aren't going to be the same
I got Seat Covers and Steering Wheel Cover and Weather Techs for my 2015 Accord to protect all listed and now in 2024 the seats, carpets and the steering wheel look like day-one, now guess what I am going to get my new 2024 4runner?
With Toyota going with a turbo charged Briggs and Stratton engine in the 6th Gen 4Runner, the 5th Gens will become Land Cruiser status in 5 years. I looked at a 2024 Land Cruiser on Saturday and started the vehicle, I thought I was in a Toyota Corolla, the 4 cylinder sounded so cheap. I have a 2022 TRD OR Premium and I agree, it is the best of the 4Runner, no way is the Pro worth $10K more. The ORP is the sweet spot in the line up
@@ZetaDogProductions I am pumped I caved and just went with another orp instead of a pro couldn't find one. Really just wanted the JBL system. are you going to change out the valences (grey bumpers)
@@purpskurp8737 You can easily add a better sound system than the JBL, so I think you made the right choice. I will probably go with black valences down the road, but gonna keep her stock for now!
Great review.. I just drove a 23 Off Road Premium on a 700 mile trip.. They drive great and very comfortable. Im in the market now for a 23 or 24, just wish I could find an Off Road Premium without a moonroof, I dont think they exist?
My 4 runner is the only vehicle that I've owned that will drive through bumper deep snow like it's not even there. I've pulled out so many cars out of ditches and snow banks, lost count.
Have a 23 in lunar rock. The ORP is the best choice for me, love the kdss. Do your first couple oil changes early. I had lots of wear in metal surprisingly so glad I did that at 700km and 1300km respectively. The next one was also early but I wanted to make sure no more metal. Beautiful truck. Should last at least 20 years with the right maintenance.
How much did you get it for? KDSS or not? I'm looking at getting one and just trying to see what people are paying as I heard they are going for under MSRP. Unlike the Pros which are MSRP or more even.
Planning to upgrade to a SUV in a couple years as my family grow bigger and bigger, I'd really like a 2023/2024 TRD Off Road, gonna be real difficult to find one like this then... sigh!!!!!
Got a 24 TRD off-road premium 4 months ago, wish I could get another for a spare!!!!! I do have a 98 Tacoma, so I guess I need to be thankful. It's very sad for me to see the direction Toyota is going!!!! They were the best of the bunch for reliability, simplicity & quality in my opinion. Heartbreaking to know we cannot purchase that new anymore. If something happens to my new 4 runner, I may have to purchase a horse!! 😂
First time viewer, awesome video! Did you and the fam debate any 3 row options? Currently what we’re trying to think through. We definitely don’t need it, but more of a nice to have
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, we definitely had the 3rd row discussion. Because this is my daily driver, and I like to adventure on my own from time to time, I put more value on maximizing cargo space. However, a TRD ORP with the 3rd row option is a nice compromise if you don't mind giving up a little bit of space. Just personal preference!
I traded in my 2023 Sequoia for a 2024 4Runner Limited. Traded in all the bell and whistles for reliability and peace of mind.

Nothing beats the 4Runner ever.. these trucks will go down in history as classic
Most definitely. I'm grabbing a 2024 model next year. Their v6 platform is solid. Not even gonna bother test driving the 4 cylinder turbo
Best part about the 5 speed is it doesn't shift all. the. time. I also love that it doesn't have start/stop.

Just purchased 2024 4R ORP in Underground…love it. Originally wanted a Limited in nightshade but they stopped making in 2021….definitely didn’t want to beta test a turbo engine
I bought the same thing in May. Love it
just got mine and I love it
KDSS? How much did you get it for? I'm looking to get one and heard they are selling for under MSRP.
In my opinion, you’ve got the best vehicle on the road!
Thanks for your review
I have 3 different Ram for the last 12 years and I just got 24 SR5 premium + it came with the 360 camera and I’m very happy
Is being 3 months and i don’t miss my 2015 Ram 1500 at all
I was looking at a 24 ORP underground , but lost my focus and purchased at 22 pro- I’m happy.
Left a deposit on an inbound Off Road Premium. Should be here in about 4-6 weeks. So excited. Those TRD wheels you have are a nice upgrade!
@@erickisel8668 congrats!
I love my 4Runner. It’s a perfect truck aside for gas mileage. I had 2 Tacomas before. This is so much better.

I have the same 4R in Solar octane. You're really racking up the miles, mine has 3065 miles since January.
I had a 2016 4runner, it was a great vehicle. I now have a 24 Land Cruiser. You make wonderful points as it relates to reliability of "old" technologies. Thus far, my LC has been flawless. Time will tell if longevity is the same for the new iForcemax toyotas.
You paid more for a smaller vehicle. I Could NEVER DO THAT🙈😂
@Anomize23 well actually, I was driving a 2021 Jeep Wrangler so, I got a lot more space with this. I owned a 5th Gen 4Runner prior to my Jeep. Furthermore the specs state the LC is larger than the 4Runner.
Like many of the other comments, I just picked one identical to yours, it’s a dinosaur but I love it!
How can anyone debate perfection Japan masterpiece proud owner of a 2023 TRD ORP
The last of old-school good. Send one this way please
Glad to hear you got out of that mess, amigo!
Congrats!
Strange
I’m about to do the same. I have a 24 Orp in underground. I plan on getting rid of my Honda ridgeline and getting another 4Runner,that’s how impressed I am with it. Im loading up on the greats before they are gone.
It's exactly the 4runner I want. I hope i can get a similar one.
I sold a troublesome 21 F-150... bought a barely used GX460. No regrets at all. The quality from the Japanese-made vehicles seems to be great. I plan to maintain it extremely well and see just how many miles and years I can get out if it.
Great choice!
You've got great taste! Congrats!
Exactly what I'm looking for in either silver or white. I don't need a sunroof.
I just traded my 2021 Corolla for a 2024 SR5 Premium 2WD in Nautical Blue. Love it!!
I have the same truck just in white I am very happy with it and in 2 days will go in a 4k road trip

Just traded a 17 frontier for a 24 Sr5 premium 4wd. Best decision ever. The 4runner rides like a car!
Went to the dealership to buy a Landcruiser and left with a 2024 4Runner TRD Offroad Premium. Very happy paying 20k less for a more reliable vehicle.
Landcruiser has way less ground clearance. Is more like a cross over then an off road suv.
I bought those wheels for my 22 SRP with some Defender 2's. My favorite wheels IMO
I got the same model/ color and love it! Congrats!

Good job of explaining and videography at the same time ,I have a 2020
2020 Toyota 4Runner I love it.

I got it when I did instead of waiting for the next generation.
I don't trust a turbo. its another thing to break & expensive to replace ,
plus the battery on the hybrid will cost a lot too to replace and another thing to break down ...
Thanks for the video. I’ve been curious to know about the ORP compared to the TRD Pro. I’m waiting on my Pro to arrive at the dealership so I can grab her. I liked the walkthrough that you did and showed what it’s like for your daily use having a family. Thanks.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
@@ChevyRobSCV Thanks for listing the additional TRD Pro features!
@@inttruders Thanks for the info!
Thanks for making the video. I’m gonna have to scrape up the money. Hopefully, I can still get one.
I’ve owned about 30 vehicles in my life from Audis to Hondas and my 24 4Runner is by far the best built vehicle I’ve owned. Everything else feels cheap in comparison.
This. This is exactly why we picked up the CPO LX 570. Despite being 4 years old, it oozes quality. Better than anything new we test drove.
You could of just installed the suspension. It would of been less money
I purchased my 2023 Lunar Rock 4Runner ORP back in September because I knew this platform was in its final days. I love the vehicle. I have the 23' ORP in the Lime Rush. Love this vehicle, and with several add-ons and mods it's even better than the TRD PRO.

Just purchased 2024 4Runner Limited four months ago, couldn’t be happier especially now since it’s the last 5 gen version. Like you I’m old school but
like to keep my vehicles long term with low maintenance costs.
We have 2 forerunners a 2020 and a 2024

Subbed up to see what you do with your 4Runner
Awesome, thank you!
The last of the real Toyotas
Indeed!

The move to smaller displacement with turbos is more about emissions than MPGs
I traded my 21 trd orp we bought new with 30k miles for our 24 Pro in that color. Best move you can make.
