I'm just about to tackle a my Hellbrute and I thought I'd watch for some inspiration. Your finished product is outstanding, you're using materials I've never heard of (v. New to the game!). If mine is half as good, I'll be very happy!
@@BrushandBoltgun the biggest difference is that mine is gonna be thousand sons, so i wanna find a nice tzeentch shade for the flesh. i was thinking like a purple or something, basically using the flamers as inspiration.

Love this model! This looks great. Gone for las cannon and rocket pod so a little less flesh, im going to do the pipelines red not yellow but other than that will be copying! Thanx again.

Is it the multimelta and power fist (that is mainly a flesh hand with a big mouth in the middle?) one? If so, that's a GREAT monopose miniature! I painted one of for red corsairs years ago, so much great detail on it :)
As a person who plays black legion I'm always trying to improve my painting but watching your videos has help me a lot but sadly I only have games workshop paints to work with.
Ah, that's great to hear, Dragon King, many thanks! :) If ever you need a Citadel/Vallejo comparison there's a few charts online that give a good idea of paints to use. Have a search for 'citadel vallejo conversion chart' or similar on google and you should find something. :) Good choice of legion too! :)
Fantastic video, I am going to use your method. Did you wash the gold parts twice? Once with Nuln Oil and again with Agrax Earthshade? Or did you only use Agrax Earthshade and misspoke when you said "Put Nuln Oil on all the metal parts... and Liberator Gold."?
Cheers Dan, very much appreciated! Originally I was using a Nuln Oil was and an Agrax Earthshade wash, but you can just use one if you want, I’d go with agrax over nuln for just the one was :)
Thanks Rob - very nice one! Makes me want to start my Helbrute! Personally I prefer Balthazar Gold for Chaos models. It is a big model, but nowadays looks small compared to the Primaris Redemptors .... I wonder how I do make my helbrute bigger??
Cheers Adrian, much appreciated. Yeah, Balthazar gold looks great too, the same techniques can be applied too which is handy for painting. Get the Helbrute some stilts! :) They do look tiny compared to the Redemptors, don't they? They looked huge at the time, now they look tiny! Hopefully makes them look less intimidating on the battlefield so they can survive longer and pop holes in the enemy! :)
I know you haven't been doing Deathguard recently but do you have either a bloat drone or blight hauler you plan on painting? would love to see one of those or even the mortar tank thing.
I have a Bloat Drone I've not started yet. Actually have a fair few Death Guard and Nurgle I need to get done, so will return to them sometime soon. I hate looking at the shelf and the army being half-finished!
Hey dude, this came together really nicely! thanks for the guide :) Also, don't know if this is helpful, but if possible try to set the white balance rather than using auto-white balance, because the hue keeps shifting throughout the video.
