As a speaker at the event, I just wish to comment on what I saw of Ann Curry as a person: total class act. She could have big-timed us - arriving 30 minutes before her Talk and leaving immediately after. Instead, she not only spent hours in the green room with us regular folks, but she was actually present - actively introducing herself knowing that some might be timid to approach, playing with our little kids, encouraging us through our nerves. I saw a lot of kindness and decency in her. I came away a fan.

Great woman. My wife and I shared a flight back with she and her family from PHX to NYC a few years ago. She and my wife talked the entire time. We didn't even realize who she was until we were at our hotel the next night and saw her. Surreal moment. Totally genuine.

Ann I believe in you. I trusted your perspectives over the years and your own journalistic endeavors because they were genuine from what I read as your best efforts. I always felt like the way you asked your questions was from a place of curious understanding and empathetic in nature. You never came across to me as naïve or pressing an agenda. It always seemed to come from the quest for understanding. You have great Value. Today things are Fubar indeed.

I wish her luck in her campaign to bring ethics back to journalism. Though I'm skeptical as to whether or not enough people in the journalism business are ready to hear it yet.
I think journalism likely has some more dying to do before it will be ready to be reborn from the ashes.

dear Ms.Ann Curry, i am so lucky to watched your talk, and it helped me so much to calm down a crisis, it is just so very difficult to have this kind of class and manner and dignity while facing adversary...... but there are people are these way, thank you so much for this confirmation.....

The bg problem is the lack of research most journalists do. They see one thing happens, get all their information from one website, rewrite the sentences a little and then publish it. There's no research done by them in any way and different websites en newspapers all cover the exact same basic information. Most journalist don't seem to have any knowledge on the things they write about for instance, some doctors made some progress in cancer research and the headlines are "Cure for cancer found". It's just one example but you get the point. Modern journalism is based on the amount of clicks they get and the quality is going down fast.

Ann Curry lost her credibility when she was slobbering all over Brad Pitt and touching him ....he was clearly uncomfortable.
