@@idjchance I'm a beginner and I think this controller allows me a lot of room to learn and grow. Other than learning how to scratch, I don't see myself using the Fader Cuts or Sampler performance pad modes. I have serato pro and am trying to figure out how to change one of those modes to slicer instead. Is it possible to midi map? Any insight?
@@q4short It is supposed to be Midi Mappable. If your primary Serato DJ hardware (the hardware used to activate Serato DJ Pro - whether controller, interface or mixer) has MIDI capabilities it will appear in the 'MIDI devices' list of the MIDI tab. If your hardware device is not showing in the 'MIDI Devices' list it most likely does not have available MIDI controls or is unable to be remapped. Click the hardware device you want to remap and make sure that the "Allow Serato Hardware Remapping" box is checked. You will need to enable the "Allow Serato Hardware Remapping" option per device in the MIDI devices list. When this option is on, the MIDI button in the main Serato DJ Pro screen will be available to assign MIDI controls for your primary hardware. Close the SETUP screen. Click the MIDI button near the upper right-hand side of the Serato DJ Pro main window. This will enable MIDI assign mode and open the MIDI panel ready for custom mappings. You can now click on a Serato DJ Pro software feature, then touch a control on your hardware and Serato DJ will link those two mappings. When in MIDI assign mode, clicking a software function and pressing, turning or moving a hardware control will map this function and remove the default mapped function. Remember to save your mapping preset if you think you will use another type of device.
DJChance yeah I did all of that and have several buttons already mapped, such as quantize, skipping/jumping beats, etc. the problem is that there aren’t “program buttons” for slicer specifically to assign. Make any sense?

Thanks for the watch Brandon. I preferred the platinum. The platters were better for me. It held up well but since the the pandemic happened it has never been gigged so I can’t comment on its road worthiness. I’d think it would be okay though since I’ve used numark controllers through the years on the road and they have generally been ok. My only real concern it the USB port because of how far it sticks out from the chassis. I don’t know how well that would hold up after repeated nightly use if someone is a little rough on it.
@@idjchance Thanks for taking the time to answer. Greatly appreciate it.
Stupid question. Do you need a laptop to play music thru the controller? Asking for a friend lol
Happy to help Steven’s friend 🙃.
Yes you do and Serato DJ lite or Pro.
Thanks for the watch
@@idjchance thanks for the reply. Very informative video! Well done. Think I’ll purchase these decks as my first set 🙂
I GOT ONE I LOVE IT VERY MUCH
HOW CAN I SAVE MY MIX ON NUMARK MIXTRACK Platinum
In Serato DJ Pro there is a “REC” button so you can record a set or mix.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
I’m happy to help Tommy. Thank you for the watch
Very nice and thorough video. Would be better if you change tracks in the background. It's hard to listen to the same few beats for 32 minutes. But that's just me. 😄
That’s very difficult for me to do due to TH-cam’s copyright infringement rules. They’ve flagged me so many times I play it safe now
@@idjchance Hey, your video is awesome! I wanted to know what is the name of the track? I'd love to scratch it up on my mixtrack platinum.
@@carlacephas21 thanks for the watch. Happy to help. It’s called “Spread Love”- DJ Mark the 45 King. It’s on Bozo Meko Records.
Hey DJ chance. I've been following you for a long time on fb. Came across you on here. Question? Does this power of USB? Or does it have its own power supply?? Thanks. Take care.
Hey JR. I appreciate your follow and for watching. This is USB powered only.
@@idjchance thanks bro. How's ct is treating you? Hope all is well.
JR 1322 CT is alright. No Vegas or Miami but work with what you got.
lol the inserts of clips keep the video interesting. I got the Pro FX but would agree, the extra 50$ is worth it for the Platinum
Thanks. I appreciate the watch. How do you like yours?
Like, is it possible to do do beat slicer with just the laptop itself? Then I can map that somehow
Cool
Thanks for watching Wattana.
